I agree with Coach Avery, the Timberwolves definitely had the best draft in the 1st round.

The spurs like T.Jones and Brahnam as their point or maybe castle will play that role. Dillingham have no spot in the spurs roster.

Saw it explained as they now have multiple 1sts going through 2032. They can use those to pull a deal like the Knicks did with Bridges, or they can keep getting young players on controlled contracts later on when Wemby is on his second contract that will be monstrous. Not a fan of the move but with that explanation I get it

1. He has one of the best contracts in the league (the money gets lower every year)
2. Gets Portland under the tax
3. He's getting progressively better every year and is technically younger than Knecht
4. Some analysts think he was the best player in his draft and now this one, too
5. Wizards fans think we UNDER payed
