Brandon Dafoe All these duels are usually with people rank 35+ and the footage was recorded over a year ago. I normally don't put many duels with feints because I personally don't enjoy them vs. well placed accel/decelerated strikes :)

+ohyouHANZ These duels aren't high level, they are 20ish-30ish like, just like my rank. Hell I would even say lower. The maul part was very nice, but with the rest of the weapons you almost did no combo at all, just ripostes. I like your cat btw :D

@@bumlebubbi yeah seriously. Not just the game itself and the lack of content but the combat is not what I imagined it would be. It's pretty bad, there isn't even directional blocking it's just timing your blocks which is too easy among other things. I could go on about the combat but what's the point, game is already forgotten.

I don't have this game yet, thinking about it. I already invest time trying to stay good at Left 4 Dead 2, League of Legends, APB, and shit. If I get in this game I might love it too much to leave haha. Your duels were impressive, I've played games similar to this and I learned the mechanics from videos, you're pretty beast.
Thanks! I would just focus on having fun when it comes to new games. I've already had my time playing competitive for Chivalry. I left the scene, but still love playing it for fun and against skilled players alike.

Fuck dragging in this game. It took this game from casual fun to a bunch of douchebags dominating everyone because the people they fight don't know how to counter it, myself included. This was fun, and then people started doing stupid shit to abuse the system. Competitive people ruining what should be a casual, fun game. It's really annoying to see someone start a swing and have absolutely no idea when it will make contact because some fucker is dragging his mouse in all different directions then swinging at you in the last second of it's swing time. It's fine on high level dueling servers, but when kids do it on a TO or TDM with a bunch of casuals it ruins this game.
The game has always had drags. get over it.
I've actually had a change of heart, and you are correct. I still hate reverse overheads, though.
why would someone want a game without drags, it would be a static combat like on dark souls, with no real time combat.

geeezz u guys rock at this games! i personally dont like drag and reverse overheads, i mean, they are NOT even close to realistic. But one cant be good at this game without them. And needs a lot of skill to do what i saw in this video.

Idk bout u but what always gets people every time is when I riposte SOW poke them, then run at them from a foot away and they think I am gonna hit them so they panic block and I get a free swing pretty much! xD

Always glad to see a high skill level player dueling feint free.
Technically I am feinting. If you notice how quickly I am parrying after a swing or during recovery, I actually combo feint to parry (cftp). The stamina is drained at a much higher rate, but baiting with a missing strike can catch the attacker off guard when I riposte.
ohyouHANZ I meant that you refrain from using offensive feints in the traditional sense.
Tobias5036 I honestly don't mind the feints. The player bubble makes it a big more difficult now when you add face-hugging to the mix. I may use offensive feints against a player that feints or uses reverse overheads.

Nove I try to go to Pills duelyard server or anything with duelyard if possible. And then anything in the West Coast
How do you get your maul to recover so fast :O
I combo into another strike, feint, then parry or CFtP.
This will use MUCH more stamina, but can save you in a bind when using a long recovery weapon and if you are lucky can catch your opponent off guard thinking they are getting a free hit on to you.

Same. I like man at arms cuz i can use the evade thing instead of relying on block all the time. Knight is good for getting all the kills
Maa is the easiest dueling class in the game with the exception of war hammer + shield feints

Yeah man-at-arms can be fun but I like more of the higher damage weapons like the 3weihander, longsword and the maul (Thor's Hammer) :D
***** I like those weapons but its to slow and clumsy for me. I'm more of a parry attack and move type of guy. I like to stay agile. I love the move where you bait the guy to swing then you leap back making them miss and then lunge for a haymaker. Although I do love the Men-at-arms, I also love using the long sword/shield with a knight. I like blocking with the knight shield then kick my opponent and come with a stab or overhand with the great sword. Knight is a good class. I'm not a fan of the bowmen or vanguard.

The 'low risk/hi reward "tactic" isn't something I personally enjoy doing and I just feel plain dirty whenever I attempt using it. It's a nice challenge here and there when I face someone that heavily relies on it.

Basically if you have a Nvidia video card that is of 6 series or higher (preferably GTX series) you can use their software to seamlessly record gameplay or even reduce the amount of stress put on your GPU vs. CPU when streaming.
It comes free as long as you use Nvidia latest drivers for their video cards :D
I used to use a separate capture card to record all my gameplay. Now I just use this software and my capture card is now useless D:

I'm level 62 and I have slowly learnt dodges (the actual maa ability) and feints are considered cheap low level moves (Australian servers btw)

My style has changed since this video was over a year ago. Combos all day now, but for some weapons single strikes keeps the other player(s) on they're toes
hanz Heres a tip Alternative overhead combo with left swipe (Alternative left click)
Alexander Figora While in-combo you cannot use alts. Combos are already coded to specific swings from whatever the previous swing was prior. Example: 2h Sword - start with alt overhead and (any) left click will have a horizontal slash from left to right.
