Denny Siegel's hoedown verse halting the game is just golden! Thank god for the DVD releases of the first season otherwise we would have never gotten to hear such a masterful verse!

It’s funny you mentioned his glasses. Since the early 2000’s, Drew Carey hasn’t needed his glasses after lasik but his whole persona has become known to have been wearing them so he just wears glasses but with lens less glass.

Hilarious bloopers Britt, keep them coming. The producers of the show always had to talk to them about things they couldn't do or say. Yeah, HITLER, oops I said his name. Nice reaction. If you can find "Moving People" compilations, I highly suggest it. Btw, "Hoedown" is their least favorite game, maybe followed by "Irish Drinking Song."
The best part of whose line was the fact that there were no rules and they said whatever they wanted to.

One of my favorites from the modern era of Whose Line is Mixed Messages with Colin, Wayne and Gary
Two audience members lend their cell phones to Colin, Ryan or Wayne. They read their text messages during a skit. Sometimes, women from audience also their bags for the guys for a skit. Helping Hands is a good one with Ryan can't use hands while Colin is his hands with night's special guest such as Karate Kid's Ralph Macchio.
I started watching back in the old days with Clive in the UK. My favorite player was Josie. My favorite was called bartender, and they sang advice to the patrons who had issues, and it was about Bad Breath.
This show was absolutely histerical!!! All improv!

I mean, a lot of times being immature adds a lot to being good at improv. 😀 Most of my improv at 55 starts off with a lot of the same randomly impolite thoughts I had when I was in theater as a teen. 😛 One can grow up without growing old.

Ryan has had an ongoing battle with the directors from both the British and American versions of the show about various things, namely not being able to take a restroom break when he needs to and them being heavy-handed with the censorship. There's a whole video of Ryan getting angry about not getting restroom breaks.
They had a very small budget for this show. So... when they came together to do them.... they were doing several episodes in one day! Some of the funnier parts just happened towards the end.... when they were all getting tired, goofy and restless. Lol. They wound up being some of the most hilarious bloopers ever! A finger for every occasion! 😂.

I have been watching Whose Line since it started and since then I have been to a few live comedy podcasts. It occurs to me now that this show was held back by the producers and it should really be a live show on the road!

There is a joke that comedians used to only tell each other backstage, called The Aristocrats. The idea was to be more shocking and disgusting than the last one to tell it.
At one point, all of the top comedians got together and told this joke over and over in front of a camera and then put it out on DvD.
If you can find a copy of The Aristocrats, you would have a good time reacting to it. Bob Saget was my favorite.
Some of them actually tour the country doing this live.

2024 is the 20th year of this show in the US. But looks like it will be the last year for the original cast members! They don't feel that they've been properly compensated for as much money as the network makes off of this show! Their budget is so low .....& the lack of marketing is ridiculous! All the cast members are constantly getting remarks on there social media "Please bring the show back" and they're the ones telling people... the show is still on we haven't left!
For a few years we had a show in Australia called "Good News Week".
One of the games they had was "So you think you can mime".
