(OSRS) Today I spent 24 hours begging at the Grand Exchange in RuneScape. I used two completely different unknown Oldschool RuneScape accounts to find out how much GP beggars truly make. For this experiment I used a Lvl random 44 noob account, and a random rich looking Lvl 126 maxed combat, max total level RuneScape main. Then we compared how much OSRS GP each account could make in the total 24 hours timeframe. A portrayed Old School RuneScape Noob vs a Maxed OSRS Main account, which will make more GP begging at the Grand Exchange?

It’s kinda sad because the increased success on the “rich” account is only due to the fact people think they will get much more in return than the 1mill they give you. They know they won’t get shit back from the “noob” but they assume the “rich” guy might be testing them and will give them something bigger back. It’s sad cuz this happens in real life and people are traditionally a lot nicer to the guy in the Ferrari than the Camry

This is an actual psychological event. It's shown people are more willing to give money to already rich people because they feel they are more deserving. But they are less likely to give to the poor because they feel they are less deserving.
However, other studies have shown similar but different results, based on the cultures and systems.
The USAs study showed people more likely to freely give to the people who already had a abandance.
The reasons given in the study showed, people were less likely to give to the poor because they felt it would make them dependent.
However the study in Finland showed exactly the opposite, people were almost exclusively more willing to give to the poor, their majority reason was the person already well off didn't need it, but they fell a inner responsibility that the poor person have at least something to be able eat.
    Two different cultures psychologically

I have a hard time believing Your status had nothing to do w this. No average person could beg and make even close to 5m in a week

I think part of it has to do with the accounts name and stats also what they are wearing etc. It's honestly really curious with the noob account because it has the RSN Epic Guides. Most RS players watch multiple content creators. My theory is that they donated to both accounts based on all of these factors. The noob account also has a couple of 99's which I think helped. Idk I would like to see someone do it on a account lvl 20 or lower with a really low total level and a name that doesn't sound like it would be from a content creator.

Play the game more, get members, quest. quest a lot. waterfall quest, witches house, tree gnomes village, the fremennik trials gives a little combat xp. Work towards barrows gloves, knock out the prerequisite quests for recipe for disaster and 175 quest points total and you'll get a decent chunk of xp in a ton of skills. Achievement diaries also give really decent xp rewards. Train the rest of the way to around 60s-70s in attack, strength and defense and ranged if you'd like on ammonite crabs on fossil island. Unlocking fossil island is important for the next step. Start slayer, and while slaying start farming and hunter and do runs in between tasks. If you don't already have 43 prayer for the protection prayers do farming and hunter first. Herbs and hops are really decent early game gp and you can quest to get early levels out of the way just like with anything else and you can train hunter through birdhouse runs on fossil island. The money you earn through birdhouses and farm runs will pay for early slayer for the most part, if not then you might have to do some random money makers on the side (wiki is your best friend). By 70ish slayer you'll start making decent money, earlier if you go through konar or crystillia for their keys which are worth around 100k each on average.

Honestly I gotta admit I do give mains more money then lower accounts just for the reason it doesn't become just something they'll do everyday but actually go work for their money / stats at that time :D
