- I MADE IT TO AUSTRALIA!! 💕🇦🇺🌏🥲🥰✨ aaaand I'm going strong! Join me for the first two days of my mandatory hotel quarantine in Brisbane! The food is amazing!
I have taken unpaid leave, and am home to visit my family and friends for as long as I can stay.
I will be spending two weeks in mandatory hotel quarantine in Southbank, Brisbane (Queensland), then travelling to my home city, Adelaide (in South Australia). 🦘
Plenty of time to catch up on vlog editing, create some new content, and document my stay here! Thank you so much for the ongoing support! You guys are amazing and I appreciate you all so much! 💕🥰

Viv, you are so lucky you have a balcony. The majority of the people who do the 14 day quarantine in Australia not only have no balcony, but the windows don't open. Those rooms get stuffy. I am telling you you are very lucky.

Thank you so much, yes I am truly to lucky to have this balcony, it's brought me so much joy. I know, the flowers were the most lovely surprise I couldn't believe it! Oh 20 celsius is quite a nice temp, I think it's only 23 here today, but I'm currently laying in the sun on the balcony and it feels lovely and warm. Enjoy your days back in the office! Oh yes I have done that, waken from a nap and momentarily not know what day it is, or even where I am..even though I'm in my room, in my house LOL So freaky. Anyway, your attitude is remarkable. Just love how you're making the most of the situation. Yeah it's hard to beat that view. (if only there were planes to watch too..I can't get enough of that :)) My favorite shot so far is @20:08 . Haha it happens to me on the regular, especially when I close the curtains in hotels, hence why I don't close curtains anymore! Thank you so much - life is too short to not enjoy every moment! I have actually seen quite a few planes, and helicopters tonight! The flowers are just beautiful aren't they!? 🥰
Just wanna say that your videos gives such a positive vibe and always reminds me of my flying days in Emirates from 2002 to 2011. Btw your quarantine hotel was a former Emirates Crew hotel when I was flying. I recognise the view from the balcony! Always a perk when flying BNE. Take care and stay safe. I think at the beginning of the video you where delirious 🤭 Probably a me problem but do you not find Hotel carpet a bit ewwwww (l know that the carpet is replaced/steam cleaned and sanitised within an inch of its life in Quarantine Hotel) No, just me 👍. You have a great routine and positive mind set and this has helped having a gorgeous location with a bonus balcony. Sydney Cummings here on YT has the best workout, heaps of no equipment required and a play list of every workout you could possibly want try her 10min ones if you get a chance. You got this. 🥰
I feel I’ve been a little delirious the whole time, feels like I’m in a weird game show. I’m sure many people feel that way re. hotel things, but I just don’t care haha 😂 I’m in too many hotels/aircrafts/random places over the world to mind - builds up my immune system perhaps! 🥴 the bonus balcony is the love of my life! Another great video, looking forward to more. Just a note, a bit shocked you put your food on the floor, many people don't take shoes off in the hotel room and who knows what's in the carpet. Just a thought..... :-)

How did you get fresh air. I was at the Voco on the GC we had to apply for exercise. Copper told me on the way out 5 ppl a day got exercise , so you probably wouldn’t of got exercise

Thank you so much for uploading this, I’m planning on moving to Brisbane from the UK to be with my brother and niece who I haven’t seen in almost 15 years and also my boyfriend, whenever the possible (I hope) UK travel bubble opens or when the borders open fully. I was worried about the hotel quarantine food (if travel was still restricted like that) because I have a milk allergy, I’m so glad that there’s options! And I’m so glad they have SIM cards too

Oh my gosh, 15 years that's a long time! I hope you get to visit asap! Brisbane is a lovely place to live, I have many memories here, and now this experience too! Yess, they have been fantastic with dietary requirements, just pop it on your form when you arrive, and simcards can be easily ordered too, but I didn't mind which company so this was perfect! 🥰🥰

Yhat foods are not enough fo me. Normally we have large amount of rice and curries. How we will survive in our quarantine?
Will you be doing a 14 day quarantine? You can order additional food but you pay with your own money. Using your debit or credit card.
There are many different menus based on dietary requirements, just speak to your allocated hotel once you arrive! 🥰
Viv, if I am not mistaken you said in another video that you've had covid. Can you please, tell us what symptoms you had, how long they lasted, and how severe were your symptoms. Thanks. 💙
So I had a week of really bad tummy cramps - thought it was normal period/food allergies, turns out that's a symptom! Then I had the test, and isolated for two weeks. In those two weeks I lost my sense of smell for a couple of days, and was a little lethargic, but aside from that all good! 🥰

Nope, the whole quarantine process including food/transport to the hotel/covid tests/amenities etc. costs approx $3200AUD. It's mandatory for all international arrivals. Thank you! 🥰

Freedom in 7 sleeps from now - the video was slightly delayed! Very exciting. I've seen a few videos on that flight! Yes, there is fruit with some meals, but a lovely friend sent me a huge box of delicious fresh fruit which was amazing! 💕

Honestly I'd prefer to be in Brisbane, the weather is nicer and I have a beautiful unique view. If I was in Adelaide I'd be annoyed that I couldn't leave and see my friends asap. I'm genuinely having a great time, would be happy to spend longer if it was free hahah - I love my own company 😂💕

In training college we do a ditching scenario where we have to spend a certain amount of time in deep water, wearing lifejackets though. I think swimming is a super important skill though, especially as Dubai has many beaches, and we travel to lots of destinations where swimming is fun! 🥰

Why are people vegans. I think it’s not a very good lifestyle choice, especially for women when your cutting out major food groups from your diet. Do you suffer enimia? Do you have to take iron tablets?
No, I don't have anaemia, nor have I ever had an iron deficiency - and I've had routine checkups to confirm. There are many reasons that I'm vegetarian, for me, I love animals too much to eat them, and I try to make sustainable choices where I can. Each to their own! All the best :-)
