- I MADE IT TO AUSTRALIA!! 💕🇦🇺🌏🥲🥰✨GUYS! How on earth has it been a week already? Only 7 more days to go.. I think I'm going to miss this room!
In this video, I go through each corner of my room, showing you how I have set it up, and some useful things I have brought with me! If you are quarantining or will be soon - perhaps this could give you some inspiration! You got this!!

I have taken unpaid leave, and am home to visit my family and friends for as long as I can stay.
I will be spending two weeks in mandatory hotel quarantine in Southbank, Brisbane (Queensland), then travelling to my home city, Adelaide (in South Australia). 🦘
Plenty of time to catch up on vlog editing, create some new content, and document my stay here! Thank you so much for the ongoing support! You guys are amazing and I appreciate you all so much! 💕🥰

I may be on the other side of the world (Pennsylvania ) but it's almost like we're there with you. The way you share your reality with us..it's so intimate and wonderful. There's sort of a communal aspect to it. I love how you set up everything. I make my bed every day too (I don't see anything wrong with how you make yours btw). Hehe "Cheeky Chocolate Almonds" ( I may or may not have a weakness for chocolate...especially dark :)) Oh I was wondering about that as well...whether you have to pay for everything. Hey you're halfway done whoo hoo :) Perfect way to close out another sweet video :)

I just recently spent abt 2 months in a hotel (due to home renovations). I offer the following unsolicited advice:
• Get yourself a Ninja fruit smoothie blender. Have the hotel send you some yogurt and ice and make yourself a smoothie every morning w that fruit u have. I would say
Freeze the fruit but it doesn’t look like you have a freezer. Mine had a full kitchen so I got frozen fruit from Trader Joe’s
•Call the hotel front desk about the television and they should be able to help you fix it. I’m not sure if they can send a maintenance person into your room since you’re on quarantine
* limit your time on devices and apps like Instagram as they will only make you lonely and relish this time to yourself to focus on your content
•Use the tripod when you film it is a handheld tripod and it will make your footage a lot smoother
Oh that’s a nice idea! I thought about bringing a blender, but decided to just enjoy the food as it is 🥰
I asked about the tv and the solution didn’t work, it doesn’t bother me too much so just leaving it haha.
Thankfully Instagram/social media doesn’t make me feel lonely, in fact helps me connect and inspires creativity, but I get it can certainly be a time waster for many!
Yes tripod is good for when I’m sitting down talking, but I’m always on the move!

@@VivGovan No the tripod works great for handheld. Trust me, I have one and use it all of the time - if it’s a handheld tripod (mine is & it’s by Manfrotto)
And yeah, the smoothie thing is nice and you can always take it with you - it’s much smaller than a normal blender
What I meant about devices was take time away and watch movies on your TV, not your phone or ipad

You gave me so many great ideas for when I travel for a long time. The diffusers, chopping board, knife, scarves for blankets and things I can't even remember! I will have to watch this again and take notes. You really are an expert and came prepared to suffer as little as possible. I would love to know what you wished you had brought or what the hotel would have offered as well as things you brought or the hotel supplied that weren't needed. AWESOME VIDEO!!!

You are very neat and organized. Hotel room looks very nice, almost makes me wish I could quarantine for 2 weeks too. Its almost like a little retreat where one is forced to relax and do things that you normally don't have time to for. Will you be allowed out for supervised walks or to the pool at some point? I am looking forward to the moment you meet up with your family, I haven't seen my son in 2 years also so I know how much you are looking forward to seeing them. It looks as though you’ve settled in nicely and made it homely. Having those small comforts is such a sensible thing to do.
The picture on the wall beside the balcony was taken at the Riverside Centre. If you were to follow the river to the right you would come across it. I think the other one is the Brisbane city skyline taken from kangaroo point cliffs which you can probably see from your balcony.

Welcome home enjoy your stay....it's so nice and refreshing to hv a balcony during the Quarantine..my hotel quarantine in Melbourne was nice , I hv amazing views but I was dying to hv a balcony just to smell a fresh air and to enjoy the sunshine, my 10 days of Quarantine I called the reception if I can go out and smell the air instead of Air conditioning seriously I was going crazy....any way I'm sure you will be fine and enjoy your stay home with family and loves one 🥰😍🥰..ex emirates cabin crew🙃🙃😉😉...

Viv, have you seen the documentary "Air France flight 447 vanishes over the Atlantic Ocean" ? If you are familiar with what happened on that flight aren't you worried? I mean considering that you fly often aren't you worried about disasters in the sky? Or perhaps such thoughts almost never enter your mind?

How are you keeping busy so you don't go stir crazy in that small space? Are you doing a lot of reading or watching television or keeping busy editing videos? I think I would want some binoculars on the patio to people watch and feel like I'm out on the street walking around. :)
In 8 days I’ve actually watched one movie, a little of the Paralympics, nothing else, sometimes have the tv playing in the background. And I don’t read books 😂 I’ve been talking to friends and family, exercising, researching things, learning new skills, laying in the sun, eating, and recording editing videos I guess! And replying to comments and messages 😂😂

I wish 🥴 but that’s okay, things will change soon, home quarantine will be the next step as in Melbourne and Sydney hotel quarantine doesn’t even make sense as the cases are all coming from the community, not returning travellers. If it changes very soon and I still have to pay that’ll be annoying, but at least others will be better off! 🥰

It was appointed on arrival, they allocate them at their own discretion. I noticed families were taken to a different hotel, apartments I think - glad they got a bigger space!

What do you think of QAN? I always try to avoid them when I go international. I had a lot of bad experience from them. Do you think the QAN union is too strong, thus they cannot get rid of their bad staff. Also do you think the customer service training is totally different? When I was on QAN, I was treated as if I got my Ticket for free and they're volunteers trying to help me giving me a favor...
Is this Qantas you’re talking about? I’ve never had an issue, haven’t flown with them in years though! I have a few lovely friends who work for them. No idea how their training works honestly! Interesting to hear! I hope you have a better experience next time 🥰
Coz you're Aussie, if you're not white, they treat you differently. They all have old staff, they are rude and grumpy. I like Emirates better, more international crew.

No, I don’t get any exceptions as an airline employee and I respect all the rules 🥰. I just googled this, Aus border force website says: ‘Single edged fixed blades are typically allowed into Australia. This includes items like kitchen knives, hunting or fishing knives.’ It’s in my checked luggage of course. 🥰

@@VivGovan that's how I used to count down to vacation, with how many more sleeps or get ups. I hope to be able to travel again someday. This year is definitely out of the question. Had a total hip replacement and was out of work for 7 weeks, unpaid. So, $ a little tight this year. And, Australia has always been on my bucket list, even if only in my dreams.

But it’s not simply yes or no, hence my answer. It depends on your ability, in training college you literally jump off a slide raft (like emergency slide from plane) into a huge deep pool. You are wearing a life jacket, but still need to be able to manage yourself in the water, and spend a certain amount of time in the water. 🥰

Miss Brett Lee! The Brisbane Atmosphere/Climate/ weather doesn't suit u perfectly or classically... i.e in optimum manner, that's methinks. In contrast, Dubai Marina suits you the very very much..... Accordingly U should eat Vitamin C like Orange types as well as Antioxidant as much as u can like pear types & green & black tea for huge amount of Antioxidant....
1 indispensable more thing izz Fresh honey, fresh dates & Jaitun of Dubai or Jordan or, Iraq or KSA....
Arabian Dates & honey is boss.....& magic...plz never have wine...
Particularly "Azzoaa dates".... I can assure you, if you have it at a large scale, then you never have to do the Caesarean section during your Child birth delivery.... just make the habit to swallow dates regularly & properly, at least 7 pieces dates daily to lead a sound mental & physiological health & fill up the deficiency of Iron for your reproductive health....
What a detailed comment, I used to like Dubai Marina, now it’s just bad traffic and inconvenient for me to drive to - much prefer Brissy weather 😂 I love and will always drink wine (my family make it), and if I were to have a child, I’d actually prefer a C-section, and that many dates would give me a tummy ache 😂
But agree with the vitamin C idea, I love oranges! And I drink a lot of tea 👏🏼
