I found EVE NG easier than GN3 in the long run and highly recommend this functionality even for home owners to practice configurations before applying them. All MT has do, is add an options package for CHR --> zero trust cloudflare tunnel ;-).

hi i am trying to install eve on my vmware for the first time i tried eve and eve as default username and password, it says incorrect even tried root and eve
Druvis , just one thing is missing ! Direct winbox console ! Yes , I'm familiar with the cli , rommon , etc. But it will be nice if users can just click on the vMT device and get a winbox window ! We tried to do that in the last "pnet lab" version. And we did ! But with a trick . We add an extra script that will add an ip address to one of the ports and add a Nat to reach the device with the winbox . But users can't use that port anymore, and the port is dedicated to the winbox ! A better implementation needs your help ! Please help us 🙏
In small load situations you could get away with low specs. But it is hard to say precisely what you can or cannot run. The main limiting factors are available RAM the CPU core count.
VMware player is free to use in non-commercial cases. A license will grant you full access to VMware workstation which has more features and is allowed in commercial applications.

Can EVE-NG be installed successfully on a standalone Windows 10 i5 laptop to work on small say up to 10 - 20 device networks?

@@RB01-lite I think yes. I set up EVE NG on an even older laptop and it seemed to work fine.

It should be possible to import them. Check with EVE-NG documentation.
