MK pls make this with a WISP package options ie 12-96v PSU so I can junk our Netonix
DIY router should have wider input voltage range. Imagine putting this into somewhere that uses acid battery voltages of 12V. Like RV. Or offgrid-garage with 48V battery. And you tell these people - fkoff, we limit you to 18-28V. Cmon.
🔥 👽
I wish mikrotik would offer temperature hardened switches/routers
🔥
wishful thinking but if its 6tbits marvel chip you could possibly later pump those qsfp ports up to 400G?
finally a proper L3 multilayer switch from Mikrotik. I'd like to try it for VXLAN spine leaf topologies
Doesn't work for me. I tested it with Foobar2000 app on the phone and Wiim. Foobar sees media server, but says it is empty. Wiim on the other hand sees media server and folder structure with sorting from Z to A, but when i go deeper in sub-folders where music files supposed to be it also shows them empty. On the other hand Mini DLNA in container works flawlessly.
please make an M.2 version for the modem connection
Is it possible to configure dlna server to stream from nas, instead of usb?
Yes, you need the ROSE package installed, then you can mount network drives.
Mil gracias por estos videos, muy claros y explicitos
Do we have to download any extra package sir ?
Nope, it is all set to go.
Instead of reading a script consider "knowing" the information up front instead.

Hi, I am a humble SOHO user. I can't wait to buy this to support my 56k dial-up connection
This is the way.
please do a CGNAT video please
Will do.
cool feature
You are cool! :)
@@mikrotik thank you for making great products for affordable prices!
would you integrate dect base station and voip capability like mini office telefon station?
Not in the plans.
that means ,there can be several vidoes in that usb and indiviual can choose what he/she want to watch or stream . Nice one from Druvis (nice name ) and nice feature from Mikrotik !
The last missing feature in Mikrotik switch is SPB (802.11aq), this will guarantee extreme performance in switching (even compared to OSPF), load sharing between link, almost instantaneous failover and rearranging of path, with almost no setup from the user.
it's 802.1aq. i dont see any benefit in that since you can already offload ospf and bfd is now functional as well. would rather they focus on new things like fixing mlag to work well and with L3 offload and vxlan/gre offload.
2,5 Gb/s ports should be a standard.
ordering one, but really should have had 2.5, had to order some of thoose mehhh unifi switches as well for poe++ and 2.5
Do you need to enable UPnP under IP -> UPnP?
No, to run it locally you don't have to do anything else.
When can we expect functional MLAG? Also, what about ROCE/RDMA , PFC etc?
Yes, awesome if it now supported EVPN, I'd be all over it 🎉🎉
Awesome switch, hopefully the software gets updated to support Hardware VRF's, MPLS push/pop, VPLS and VXLAN.
4GB is nowhere near enough to comfortably load full tables from two different upstreams plus 2 x IXPs. Should have been a minimum 8GB.
It’s a switch, not a router
Nice.nice 👍
that works well in this case (directly connect) How about if the router is 2 hops away, how can i make this work?
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. - Winston Churchill
Yessssss!!!!!🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🎊🎊🎊 THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS SWITCH🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
We really didnt waited for this.... This new MikroTik switch looks amazing in terms of features and build quality. However, it's really disappointing that it's only Gigabit instead of 2.5 Gbit. With today's increasing demand for higher speeds even in HOME networks, 2.5 Gbit would have been a much better choice. Let's hope you will address this limitation very soon.
Nice switch you got there
Nice. But what about WAP Ax?
from now Mikrotik will stop doing routers, they are going to build switches the correct way.
Don't make us choose, we love routers too! 😭
This is a amazing feature, Mikrotik now is even better, guys you are the best.
Is a shame that the dlna was dissolved in 2017, this is an awesome feature for someone with good video files and devices that support them, but is no longer kept up to date or improved upon.
No 5GbE ports. No thanks.
how much LPM on this beast? I guess with the clever partial offloading tricks this thing could even handle full tables?
I came here to ask this question. I couldn't find that information about the asic, I might be googling the wrong terms though
This dude is talking like he’s from the future: I love this
How about we focus on making RouterOS work properly in GCP (Google Cloud Provider), not that it can play video from USB? It seems that flipping packets is the basic function of a router.
What doesn’t work for you with google cloud?
please add video about configuration via terraform and video about containers and qbittorrent
less than 15 years later they ported minidlna
It’s our own implementation with more features
DLNA sucks. Hard pass.
What is the PoE pinout of the device? Can't find it anywhere on the listing page or manual. Historically MikroTik has used Mode B PoE which is precisely why we never use your PoE switches. Everything else on the market uses Mode A for good reason
Interesting for a "one-stop shop" if you are say, on a holiday with the camper or something (combined with say, an LtAP) to keep the kids entertained... But I think for "more serious" in-home streaming, people would very quickly look into Plex/Jellyfin/Emby.
That’s a function I definitely wouldn’t have expected in RouterOS. It’s sure to be useful!
Yes we've been asking for high power output, but we've been screaming for 24/48v voltage switching capability particularly in outdoor products. It's still yet to be seen So on the next switch PLEASE include both high wattage per port and 24v stepdown capability from a single 48-57v DC input supply
We need 2.5g ports. Make one with ++ and you'll have A LOT of happy customers. This switch is kind of...mid.
First
Will it be silent enough to put it next to my desk?
Depends, how silent are we talking? Both CCR and CRS units are pretty quiet in general, but this one has 4 fans, so it depends on the airflow and the load.
@@mikrotik I’d consider my CRS328-24P-4S+RM quiet under load. I guess this one will be louder than that?
Definitely louder, but we feel it's worth it.
