Thanks David!
Hi sir , please do more videos on Python for network engineer with Eve-NG.. thank you soo much
After downloading the EVE community vm and successfully installed on VMware work station pro, to find the IP address of this so i can run it on the web , ipconfig | more doesn’t work for me ! don’t know why is it my keyboard . I can ping google by the way! Can anyone knows how to find out your Ip address?
Why do you need internet access to run it?
@@BH-JN Windows? ipconfig /all
Should do the trick.
I spent the day going through these videos to finally set up my eve-ng lab and adding various images, and it was such a breeze. The video was really explanatory and helped a lot. I wish I saw it sooner, would've saved me a lot of pain. Thank you so much David Bombal. Great Stuff on this channel. Now I can lab all day for the encor.
bro when you emulate the ios is the same as the originals you can use with gns3 or they are tinier, like you dont have mpls or vrf, that advance commands? :)
Thanks David!!! I was waiting for this moment. You are a totally blessing for the Networking Industry
Thank you Mario
You're amazing took your CCNA Udemy course and I am soo glad you just never stop and do all the things. Thanks for everything you do from the bottom of my heart.
SIr i dont know how to say thankyou to you....the way you teach us its like a father teaching his children...lot of respect and love for you...God bless you...
as always: analyze what young engineers wants and deliver pefect content. Thanks!
Just Started Studying for my CCNA. I am really glad you covered this install and GNS3 as well. I think I will go with Eve-NG... I cannot wait to setup some network topologies of my own!
Thank you Michael. Lots of great options available to us today!
I just started my CCNA studies and this was so informative to get my EVE_NG installed.
David, thank you so very much for this series. Your timing couldn't be better-a recent Win10 update broke VMware Player 14 which, by extension, broke GNS3.
Glad the video helped you Maximilian. It's great to have lots of options these days.
Watch, learn, enjoy and give thanks to God for gem like David Bombal. Great thanks Sir.
Thank you Zadkiel
Yea,, this is a GEM, no one never do this kind of basic detailed step by step guide for a beginner[who knows, a beginner can be 10 years experienced in some where IT].
Thank you David, very good presentation for a good quality product. For a while I had both deployed, EVE NG and GNS3 (ESXi environment). Things were getting complicated so I had to make a choice, in my case, I opted for GNS3. EVE NG web interface is very well done, the only part I didn't like was when connecting the virtual environment to a physical network/lab. After your interview with Jeremy Grossmann I am very pleased because GNS3 is adding the web interface. All the best!
Great feedback Eugen. We are fortunate to have lots of options today :)
This video is amazing! I've never tried eve-ng before this, but now I'm very excited to try this! Greetings from Brazil
Your information arrived promptly, and I am glad to say it contains exactly what I need. Thank you so much.
Glad you found the video useful :)
David is so honest and helping Networking folks in every possible way, Thanks for Crystal clear explanation.
Great to see you put out an EVE-NG video.
Highly recommend the Pro version and hope to see more than just Cisco devices.
I have used Palo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Juniper and many Linux and Windows servers.
I have also used Cisco UC devices in EVE-NG as well.
The Pro version also has a few Docker devices as well.
Thanks Al. I plan to create many videos, but because the majority of people use Cisco, I will focus on Cisco initially.
Thank you very much Mr. Bombal! Long time GNS3 user here but I'll give EVE-NG a shot as well, seems to be hot these days.
It's fantastic to have options these days. EVE-NG / GNS3 / VIRL / Packet Tracer :)
At last, the how-to video Ive been waiting for !
Thanks a lot David.
I will be creating a bunch of EVE-NG videos :)
I've been waiting on this for a while! Thanks David!
Glad the video helped Joe
Great video David, happy to see you covering EVE-NG :)
Baie Dankie Johnny.

Thank you. Next video coming soon :)
Whoaaa EVEng, I heard about it but never try it. Thank you very much for showing it David, as soon as I am done with my priorities ICND1 and ICND2 I might have a look.
Lots of options these days which is nice. Packet Tracer, EVE-NG, GNS3 and VIRL.
Love this channel he always give you full tutorials
finally :) I was wondering why you did not wanted to test EVE-NG till now. For me it is the best tool out there! I have been using it from the old days when it was named UNL
Thank you Dawit. Why do you prefer EVE-NG? I want to make a comparison video, so would like to get people's opinions...
@@davidbombal same here, eve-ng is fast, less bugs than GNS3, and in my case I work in a large IT company , so I ask to the data center staff to install EVE-NG in a VM , and because is clientless I can access to it anywhere using a browser.
@@davidbombal EVE-NG has both version free (community ) and paid(professional). from scalability perspective , it is really awesome as being 2xCCIE I run complex labs for POC and it works fine. I already switched off my multi-vendor hardware routers and switches in basement. You can can install it on one server and access it from any machine as it is clientless. In order to enjoy EVE-ng then you need to have really a good server. I invested close to $6k for buying the best server for eve-ng and installed it as bare-metal! When you test it in detail then you will see what I am talking about. I use eve-ng for my RedHat certifications, network automation, for NSX ,...everything at this moment.

Thanks for this presentation, more option to work. Great !!!
Thank you Luis!
Excellent vids.... cleared many points.. need to know more detail about NAT configurations.
Nicely explained, David. Very clear!
EVE is brilliant. I was actually gonna make a EVE-NG setup video myself since I've had a few inquiries into what software I'm using and how to get it - but I think I'll just recommend people watch this video instead now hahaha. Hopefully you'll do a follow up with the installation of devices images!
Thanks John. Video already recorded showing how to upload Cisco VIRL IOSv and IOSvL2 to EVE-NG. Will be uploaded soon. Why do you prefer EVE-NG over GNS3? Be good to get some opinions for when I make a comparison video.
@@davidbombal Excellent!
GNS3 is great software, there's no doubt there, but I do personally prefer EVE-NG overall. There's just a lot of very small details I like better, like how the interface links are clearer. Or holding your cursor over the interface, changes the devices colour - which makes visually illustrating traffic easier for me when recording. I've always really liked the Web interface (I understand GNS3 is moving this direction, which is definitely the way forward imo!). I've recently upgraded to EVE-NG PRO and the features for suspending links, and easily manipulating link quality like jitter, etc, are just excellent. I can't fault it one bit. Overall, though, I'm just glad we live in a time we have options like EVE-NG and GNS3, since they're absolutely invaluable for teaching, learning and sharing :)

@@IPvZero Great Response. Agreed. Great time for us network engineers to have so many options available today :)

Thanks for this. I found myself here due to headaches and flames which GNS3 is showing me😅, I slept at 2am troubleshooting to no avail. Let me try eve ng
Great video! No need internet connection, a router that can provide IP Address would work fine.
I just searched " eve-ng " and saw David is pointing finger at me.

You're welcome!
Thank you.
Thanks David
Respect à toi David ma prière ce pour que Dieu te donne une longue vie
thank s just started networking essentialist
I would recommend starting with Cisco Packet Tracer if you are very new to networking. EVE-NG, GNS3 and VIRL can be complex and overwhelming if you are new. But, don't let that stop you :)
Thank you Sir :)
Thank you for watching.
