There's a TV that plays old video game ads and has the og commercial for RE2. It loops and can be found in the briefing room of the first floor.
one of my favourite parts of this mod was honestly looking out the windows of the RPD.
You can see the basket ball court and the AKURAS sign, like you said the RPD is literally right there.
(no wonder Kendo does alot of business with them)

It's so great how they tweaked a few moments slightly in order to create some new scares! Really going above and beyond.
24:58 is the garage in RE3 (1998) where the Gravedigger hole opens up and the two boxes in the back of the van come flying out at you. It's the alley with the dead UBCS mercenary in it that got his throat ripped out by dogs.
Oh it’s not like Village, where it’s third person in gameplay, but FPS in cutscene. lol this is pure.

It got a third-person mode as dlc.

Bro shadow of rose has turned resident evil from a somewhat realistic scenario into full-blown fantasy bullcrap. 7 and especially 8 themselves were bad enough for that but shadow of rose takes the cake by anlong shot

25:00 Yeah. Remember, when starting from the back (I think B side), the players is just a few steps away from the RPD. The A route makes you go the long route to the RPD (front/side).
The true art in all of this are those hidden spaces, corners, ceilings, and windows that we could not see in original release.
This dev has successfully made those areas look familiar and nostalgic too.

The aiming is crap. The "tea cup" handgun gripping is cringe ass hell.
Now when come to the aiming. Either put a Cross hair system, laser system or we get more technical. When you aim you look down the front and rear sight to shoot.

This looks like you are playing through the cgi cutscenes of the original games. The character models need a very small amount more detail and then this is chef's kiss.

In awe at this mod, glad it's out enough for people to start playing it. Hopefully we'll see something similar with RE3, get to see the streets we grew up on in first person.

The RPD is my favorite video game environment. I love to imagine the normal day to day there. The way the museum converted into a cohesive police station was a genius design.
Cohesive? At first glance it would seem so but It actually has a lot of surreal design elements like the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's the Shining.
For example: there is a clear incline between the entrance to the west lobby and the entrance to the room where you meet Marvin in the main hall. Yet if you start at the former and make your way to the latter through the back way, there are no slopes.
Also, When Leon uses a vent to shortcut his way to the cells, you'll notice something off... Leon has to go to the west section of the station to load in a cog to activate the clock's mechanism. The cells are on the eastern side. Note that to get there, you have to go through two rooms, go straight to the left to another door that leads to a hallway, and a left to the stairs, then a right that leads to the garage, then finally the cells. The clock tower's vent? It's located on the right where it logically shouldn't be.
And, if you line up the City Area, R.P.D., and sewer maps, it puts the Sewage Treatment Plant right behind the police station... which makes no sense, since it means it would occupy the same space as the street where the game started.
I actually really wish Resident Evil would do this more often.

So many of these rooms hold nostalgia for me. It's a combination of the music and the room. And not even events that did happen but what I would imagine about it? I know it sounds strange! Lol. Great video

This looks incredible that someone took a lot of time to make a Survival Horror First Person mode, in a classic RE2 game. Definitely it's their take on the RE4 VR game.
Happy New Year Ink Ribbon! I love how even though you pretty much know everything that’s about to happen, you still have genuine reactions and get startled because first person is such a new perspective to experience the horrors of RE.
I agree with your take on the library, the one thing I do like about it is if upon entering for the first time, if you run straight up to where the floor gives out, it times up really well with the music, like the fourth “bar” or “verse” when the music shifts to even spookier. Sorry, I don’t know music terms. That probably makes no sense. My bad.

In my case is the opposite: i want resident evil revelations 2 and resident evil survivor they both with "normal" resident evil camera angles instead of the "frontal" view. It will for sure take a lot of years to someone to make it, but i still have hope.

Falling through the floor in the library is the most underrated jump scare in RE

Bringing classic RE2 to a new perspective. It's very cool to see some details in the background where normally you can't see them because of the camera perspective, just like the helicopter that carrying those Mr. X capsules

this is great! but it only has 2 flaws! (not counting the game breaking glitches)
1) only a few herbs
2) no saves!
i know its a demo, but just because of the 2 things it can get annoying to die & start all over! this demo can take up over a hour+! (if u collect everything)

I had to see more of the game so I downloaded it but I can't figure out how to switch to the shotgun. I feel like I've tried everything
RE4 original 3rd person over the shoulder was a staple in video game history, tons of games followed suit afterword. You can say what u want about fixed cam cause the games success delved off of fixed cams. I was never a fan of Biohazzard or Village. I've tried playing 1st person RE & found it disappointing, it's just not the same, & doesn't feel like a true RE experience. There's lots of games that are 1st person, RE never needed it, the game was a monster success without it.
Maby they can release a FPS mode for the remakes 👍

This may be moot info now, but I notice that you were having issues hitting enemies. I would suggest you try making sure that end of your gun is directly pointed at the enemy because the gun is physically leaning on the right so you have to be more exact.

Needs a crosshair/laser for sure, but I feel like a third person camera would work way better, like with REmake 2 gameplay, since the game wasn't designed with first person in mind.
For sure. Either Crosshair system where the Cross hair is right on top of the gun when aiming or POV aka you look down the front and rear sight to shoot. Also they need to work on that "tea cup" grip when shooting the handgun.

Would be nice to play VR. By the way, if you have VR, there are different rooms recreated of RE that you can visit while using VR, it is really an immersive feeling

@@njp2k914 they have already made RE4 port and it is the proof of the concept of porting PS2 games to VR. Maybe in some future they would do the same again, who knows ... But using stuff like vorpx is really a pain.

i dont know what the system requirements are but my laptop is running the game at a fabulous fps of 1, maybe 2 at most. often a little less than 1 fps...
might be something to do with my laptop though...
