  • In this video i have given detail knowledge about growing bamboo plant from cutting, Propagate golden bamboo from cutting, Hello friends welcome to the gardener zone youtube channel , I am your host Love Bajwa, today I came to you with another interesting video, where we will leaern how to propagate a bamboo plant from cutting. Bamboos are from grass family ,from ancient times humans are using bamboos for building homes , making weapons, bamboo furniture and bamboo clothes from hundred of thousands of plants in this world Bamboo stands above the rest in terms of usefulness Bamboo is the most usefull plant in this whole world, The area of its useage is wider than any other species of trees, from ancient times human are using bamboo for constructing homes, making furniture, weapons, food etc. and now we are also making fabric from bamboo plants, this plant is the most oxizen producing plant , it produces 35 percent more oxygen then any other plant specie in this world, there are more than thousand species in the entire world but only 138 species are grown in india Bamboo look like a tree but its considered as a grass. Becides this bamboo beutifies our garden, we can make hedges with the help of bamboo, we can use it in many ways, like we use bamboo straws instead of plastic straws, you will also find a way to use it when you grow it in your own garden so because of its usefulness, you must have a bamboo plant in your garden. You don’t have to buy it because I am going to tell yuu how you can grow bamboo from a small cutting, so lets start Just cut a hardwood cutting just below the shooting node, cut the upper side of the node too, now we have to prepare our pot where we are going to, , I am going to grow this in thios empty sand bag, so we will fill this with our potting mix, we are using 70 % normal garden soil and 30% decomposed cow dung manure, Bamboo has its own anty bacterial properties so we do not need any pesticide, now we have to lay down it and cover it properly, the new shoot must be on upper side, now water it gently, we are done now, now we have to keep it in a shady place for 3.-40 days and then we can put it in direct sunlight, do not forget to water it twice a week and soon we will see some new growth on it, if you face any problem during planting please comment below, if you found this video informative, please like it and please subscribe my channel

hello Mea Trinided thanks for watching my video. whenever you repot any plant you have to keep it away from direct sunlight. for bamboos you can wait 30 - 45 days ( whenever new growth starts)

"water it gently" proceed to drown the plant x)
Just kidding, thanks for the video I will try to propagate some of my neighbor's bamboos to make a hedge. I already bought some euonymus japonicus but they will produce some toxic berries later on their development and I don't want my kids to confound them with edible berries and get sick. Bamboo is a much safer (but way pricier in my country) option, so propagating is the way.
    Thanks again!
