You can walk on this liquid!😨 BUT HOW?

- Have you ever wondered why people don't sink while running on this strange liquid? Some might say it's a magic trick or its not a liquid, well they are wrong.
You can see in this viral video, this man punching a substance, and the harder he hits it, the more solid it becomes, but when he puts his hand in smoothly, his hand goes right in. This substance is called a non-Newtonian fluid and it behaves quite differently from other liquids. This video even shows boys effortlessly flipping and walking on a pool filled with this liquid without sinking, and when pressure is not applied, the man sinks right in. But have you ever thought how it works?
You see, Non-Newtonian fluids are unique liquids that do not follow Newton's law. Unlike typical liquids, when you apply pressure or force, their tiny particles stick together tightly, turning almost solid-like. This reaction temporarily transforms the fluid into a solid state

Ooblec I got to play with ooblec in kindergarten it hurts to punch it I had a bruise on my knuckle the next day bc I punched it hard
For this specific liquid which is also known as "oobleck" it is made of corn starch and water (keep in mind corn starch is solid and water is liquid) when you slowly sink your hand through it gives time for the corn starch to move over through the water which turns it pretty much liquid. But if you punch it or something then it doesn't have time which makes it basically solid.

I think this is what custard powder company uses to make their custard here in nigeria. *If anyone wondering how this works, I am here to explain it.* (Go Down for A twist) 💀
This Liquid is known as "Oobleck", Oobleck is a non-newtonian fluid. That is, it acts like a liquid when being poured, but like a solid when a force is acting on it.
Simply, This Liquid has a Late Reaction time.
*More simplified, This Liquid has High Ping (ms) 💀*
Not ms, it's centuries
I don't know if this has been done before, but maybe it can be used in bullet proof or stab proof vests. It will allow better movement and when shot at or stabbed it becomes solid🤷🏾
It's scary to think someone uneducated about this substance and accidentally dipped in it while struggling, it will be hard for them to get out if they start flailing theirbody creating pressure.
