- I recently moved and had to get rid of my darling 4 tap Kegerator made out of a 7 cu ft chest freezer. I decided i needed to to rebuild her, but this time make it out of a 5 cu ft freezer.

That’s with everything new, I think you could budget this down a bit as the kegs and taps were new and $320 of that total, plus I went with quick disconnects for all my tubing.
Overall I’m very pleased! I didn’t expect so much capacity from a significantly smaller footprint. Plus it seems to run much less frequently, probably because of the smaller area to keep cool and the additional wood I used around the collar to insulate.
Cheers!
That’s exactly the specs of what I’m building next week when my freezer shows up
I have been trying to decide between the 5cu ft and the 7. Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Awesome video! Great setup
PC fan + EvaDry dehumidifier in my keezer eliminated basically all condensation. The fan helps keep the lines cool too. Highly recommend the combo. The dehumidifiers are refreshable so you just have to remember to plug them in once a month or so. Nice build!
Good thinking, I think I used to have one of those dehumidifiers in my old rig but it’s definitely gone now, so that would be a great addition!
Some seriously great production quality!
Very impressed, nice build and amazing video quality.
Great video, a lot covered in a few minutes..visual effects were awesome
Thanks! Thats always my goal, to fit a pint's worth of info in a 6oz taster glass 🍻
great video
I was always curious about your keezer! Great video :)
She's the star in a lot of my videos! 🍻
Love that video. I like your video skills❤
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
Excellent overview! and love the animations, do you use blender?
I do, well spotted! I'll use Autocad Inventor and Solidworks for the design process of my projects, but then import to Blender and add details for all my animations!
Very nice job! I m thinking to move from bottles to kegs, what You advice for better choice build kegerator or keezer? Thank You
could you fit two 5 gallon corny kegs on the compressor if you didn't have the co2 tank inside the keezer?
I don’t think so, to sit on the compressor you need the thicker and shorter kegs, (pin lock or pin lock converted to ball lock) and in that case only one would fit.
Could you fit two 1/6 bbl (sixtel) in this? Great video by the way!
In the bottom and not on the hump is what I am meaning
Thanks!
Looks like those are 9 1/4”, a quick measure says it looks like it might be too tight for 2 in the bottom section.
That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the quick response.
Keezer weezer
wee ooh
What are your thoughts on keeping the CO2 tank outside the keezer? I've had my CO2 tank inside but I am considering moving it out, for more space.
I actually moved my CO2 tank outside recently as well, doesn’t look quite as tidy but gives more space, and makes it easier to change PSI on the regulator. Go for it! 🍻
@@5minutebrewery We think the same, i also kept mine out for aesthetic.
Your glycol chiller is fancy! But i think i am going to cheap out and hook up my cold side to a bucket of water in the keezer.
