    The F150 raptor is an amazing truck off road with it's long travel suspension, but with just a Roush Fox suspension and leveling kit it can turn the F150 into a seriously capable truck off road. It lifts the front of the F150 2" making it level with its adjustable coilovers, and adds high quality fox shocks to the rear to tackle all the whoops and bumps off road. It doesn't give the F150 long travel suspension but it makes it one hell of an off roading machine without killing the bank.

    Take that lift off and I guarantee it will be a different story with the ride and handling of the raptor vs the f150 build. That spacer lift on top of the raptors suspension is killing it because the geometry of the suspension is all changed now. Just my 2cents Great trucks and review 👍

    Six inch lift on the raptor? What a way to f up the truck. They are complaining about the raptor ride? They completely changed the suspension and its on 37" tires. What a bunch of clowns.

      I came here to say that, thank you for noticing.
      It takes a special kind of stupid to ruin the Raptor's performance by lifting it... increased center of gravity height (lots of problems here if I were to elaborate), decreased up travel, shock valving is messed up, front/back weight distribution is altered, and overall $millions$ of Ford Performance research and engineering thrown out the window.

    I'm a Ford technician, I regularly drive f150s and raptors. I own a 15 f150. Im not a fan of how raptors drive. My truck with Rancho quick lift, rs9000xl shocks and a add a leaf in the rear in my opinion drives better on and off road than raptors. I have yet to drive a new raptor with the active fox shocks tho

  • @Titantramp4u

    Sorry you guys didn't build the ultimate F-150, you just ruined the Raptor with that garbage lift kit and heavier tires...let me guess...there is now a 4" rear block?...how about the tires?, are the Load Range "E"?...basically every mod on that Raptor ruined it's performance over the smaller sharp edge rocks and bumps. A real suspension kit would have replaced the worse part of a stock Raptor...the rear springs and factory 2" blocks. Run that road again with a bone stock Raptor and you will immediately feel the difference. BTW the Raptor does float a bit and you do feel more isolated from the road, BUT that's what you get with a long travel truck, if you've never been in a real long travel truck set up for off road then you would not know what to expect and why...
    All that aside, I do enjoy this channel and you guys do some cool installs...Thanks....AND one final thing...yes I do own a 18' Raptor.. :)

    Invalid test. With a 6-inch bracket lift and 37s the suspension in the raptor is not functioning like it did factory, it will work incorrectly. The center of gravity has been raised substantially, most likely counteracting the Raptors width advantage.

    some F150s have stiffer rated springs. Seems like also putting the softest rated springs with the Fox suspension may be the best way to go for these??
    I'm looking at trying to figure out some ways to make the suspension better on these trucks, cuz the ride on these is like you feel every single bump, the suspension doesn't absorb anything in a stock F150

    Fellas, I love the content and the idea. I was reading through the past comments from a year or so back. I have to say you should have did the comparison with your F150 and a stock raptor. After that you could go to the next follow on stages. If you still have you F150 do the show again with a stock Raptor. That will definitely give us viewers what we are asking for. Again thank you for taking the time to make this video. It was still informative and I am pretty sure all of the viewers that own Raptors are not going to use the fabtec 6" lift lol. Keep up the great work. Active Duty viewer / Aircraft Engineer / Avid off roader and fabricator

    you didn't build the ultimate f-150. you just butchered it with a 6" lift which negates the raptor's suspension. you can fit 37" in a gen 2 raptor without 6" lift.

    • @CJBroncoF150
      @CJBroncoF150  Před 5 lety +1

      We have towed an open and an enclosed car trailer with this truck many times and it did just fine. We added a set of these Timbren rubber springs and made it tow like an absolute champ, virtually eliminated rear squat and sag.

      It depends how much weight is on the tongue. But you should be ok if the weight is properly distributed. I will strongly recommend getting the timbren springs though, it makes a world of difference, theyre cheap and easy to install and you dont have to worry about filling them with air or anything.
