The Raptor is a status symbol for a lot of the buyers. They don’t refer to it as an F-150, it’s a Raptor. All the money put into the F-150, in large part will not be recouped in resale. Whereas the raptor holds its value extremely well. Great video, Mike.
i do agree with the resale thing, but... i will tell you about Brazilian F150.... its costs us in Brazilian money (F150 Platinum v8 5.0 = 100.000 USD), with the taxes, yeah... our corrupt goverment takes that, 100% of the price in taxes, so they can eat caviar and stay in nice hotels on govermental trips... but back... if I want to have the raptor will take about 250.000 USD or more to import it to Brazil.. So what I do, I will buy the F150 Platinum, will send back to USA, set all the acessories that i want, wheels, tyres, flares, suspension, supercharger, everything, will cost me about 35.000 USD for the acessories, installed in USA, then bring back to Brazil, this will save me about 40.000 USD.... do you believe it? yeah... in terms of cars and taxes american have a huge advantage.

99% of people who buy a 70k Raptor are not gonna Baja off-road it. So a 35k modified F150 that looks visually close just makes sense.
David Stewart its funny, same goes with jeep wrangler rubicon’s. I see more on 22’s than with beefy tires to do what they are made to do.

It doesn’t come around the touch screen factory. It’s the shifter, door panels, glove box and the sliding door in the console.
You do get a wider truck, bigger tank, and more mileage on the raptor. Plus it’s better for off roading.
@@ryanmcnally4613 soo, raptors have the standard 26 gal tank of any normal f150. while the standard F-150 has an optional 36 gal tank. Also a Raptor gets worse mpg (15/18) than a 5.0 F-150 (17/23).

I have a 2018 Raptor with the same spec and love it. I much prefer having every feature you can ask for plus the suspension setup, all OEM. Only thing I did was do a Corsa resonator delete to up the exhaust volume a bit.

I Don't see what's wrong with keeping the raptor on the pavement. I Know a lot of raptor "enthusiasts" like to comment about, "It's meant to be driven off road! Not driven to Starbucks!" It's easy to comment about somebody else's money/property. I Would be the rest of the 90%! The Raptor is a beautiful truck, and i don't feel like dinging up a 80K truck. Personally? I Would get something less bulky and a whole lot cheaper to off road. A Few open flat fields/open sand would be fun, but i can't imagine putting a Raptor in steep/climbing conditions.
My Raptor is one of the best trucks Ive owned It is not a work truck But that's not what its made for I live in the country and have to drive on gravel roads everyday The Raptor handles the roads better than any other truck out there
I agree, he said it on the video the Raptor never gets used for hauling or towing anything, he rarely even drives it.. so why do they need a truck in the first place? Might aswell buy a sub if you aren't going to use the truck. Lol but as with most people they buy things for status not to actually use it. Poor Raptor will never touch a blade of grass or grain of sand unless it's on the driveway.

I can't really say which one is my favorite because I like both of them. Both trucks are "chill". They're unique and really nice trucks in their own right. Of course, the "mods" that you have added to the F150 made it look even better, despite the cops telling you that you had to remove some really great "mods".
Tell the cops to get rid of their modified engines and drive with the stock engine from the factory sure they can still catch criminals.
well for $35k you get just the basics but all the mods you did to the 2015 xlt f150 im digging the regular f150 xlt.

Now that the front end is wrapped I am glad that you did this video of the comparison between the Raptor and Raptor Lite. lol ... Both are extremely BADASS trucks in their own right and have their own endearing qualities. I actually don't mind the sound of the Raptor it is loud enough for me (yes I am only 35 years old not a grandpa), but I do love the sound of the V8 with the Borla Atak more for sure. Obviously as stated the big differences are the SuperCrew vs SuperCab, Fox Shocks (which you will get later with a better lift kit) and the interior luxury features. If the 2015 was a Lariat or higher it would be much closer. Even though the Raptor is cool, I always enjoy seeing how people personalize their own vehicles and that in itself is a 2nd kind of COOL! :D

You can find the original 6.2L Raptor for fairly cheap now and many are in great shape.Def worth it.

Rowdy Guice I actually replied to that other comment and it doesn’t seem to be here which is frustrating. I found three raptors in my area for 32-35k lowest mileage one had 47k on it and looked to be in really good shape. I bought a zr2 new bc I got a ridiculous deal on it but had I not done that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a used raptor. Still might one day lol

I bought a Ford F-150 super crew king ranch and I can say with out a doubt it is the perfect blend between these two it can with all the raptor interior (except the raptor logos) and the sun roof but it does have massage seats the but that F-150 looks so clean🤩

Have you ever had to pull an engine to replace a failed turbo?? Twin turbo engine has A LOT of extra parts that will fail in time. That’s why. I’d much much rather have a naturally aspirated V8, even if has slightly less power. It will be WAY more reliable in the long run. I have owned a twin turbo v6 and I can tell you they are huge complicated piles of junk once they’re over 100k miles. Nightmares. F THAT

Went from a lifted f150 like yours to the raptor. The raptor ended up costing 20k cad more than the lifted f150 but its worth every dollar and i would never go back. Great videos as always.

I'm happy with my classic 02 Ranger. It's a stick shift single cab with around 140k miles on it. Drives like a dream and is a basic as a small truck can get. I'll never need a new truck. If you're a simple guy with a little car know how then you can pretty much use any old "beater" truck to get the job done. Sure I wont win any street races. But I'll be the one laughing when you have to pay 85 dollars for an oil change and 1200 for new tires.
Here’s a crazy idea, sweet talk your wife into putting a Borla Attack exhaust on the raptor.
The Borla Attack sounds like crap on the V6. He should get the Corsa Xtreme. I did just the Corsa resonator delete and it made a big difference.
I would go for the F-150 because its setup the exact way you want it.

My truck has the N/A version of the 3.5 EcoBoost. With my exhaust cutout open, it pops so much on deceleration that it's annoying.
Give the F-150 a Roush supercharger.. BOOM now its as powerful, and sounds even better

When I seen what could be done to a stock f150, I traded in my jeep and bought my first F-150. This video convinced me the F-150 has the most after market mods of any truck available.
For sure. You can turn 2008 f150s into 2016 looking f150s.
Without a doubt they have by far the best aftermarket support out there. F150s are basically the Glock 19 of trucks.

I’m not a Ford guy but I prefer the Raptor because for one it’s a Raptor and secondly it’s a full size pickup. F-150 looks kinda weird with that little half door that it has.

jclark I’ve had a few Fords sadly the 2015 F150 XLT Super cab 4x4 Ecoboost 2.7L but it disappointed me in many ways.
"Safety" for the single occupant in the truck...increased risk for everyone else.
Rudy-The-Cuban Gonzalez I have a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 with 207,000 miles on it and still going strong. I also have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 on with 124,000 miles and still going strong and it's a beast.

For about $300 you can get very nice leather seat covers from Clazzio. We did that to my dad's F150 and it looks like it came that way.

J H the ford raptor and the f150 is comparing apples to oranges, the raptor is a 100% competition ready off-road truck that can’t hit jumps in the desert at high speeds, a true super truck, the f150 is just a normal f150 that’s been around for 25 years+
