Well done! Super helpful video. We have the exact same model, which I have oiled (rollers) several times over a year or so. I just ordered the parts kit and will swap those out later this week. Hopefully squeal free after that. I assumed it was the rollers, but now suspect it may be the tensioner too.

Use some mechanics gloves to protect your hands. I have some 1/4" drive sockets with magnets in them from Matco tools. That helps.
Use a little WD40 or Fluid Film with the new roller wheels. It helps.
To keep the screws together, when I remove them and the part to be removed, put screws and part together. Now you know where they go and how many for that part.
I use my air compressor to blow out the cabinet. It gets all the small parts out of the cabinet. Vacuuming also works. Check that motor pulley closely. I had one that had a broken piece that shredded the old belt. When the motor stopped the bad part was on the bottom where you couldn't see it.
Lube the new belt tensioner pulley on the shaft. I had an old one break due to no lube and lint. Powdered grafite, WD40 or fluid film works well.
Take lots of pictures during teardown. It helps.
One more thing. Check the exhaust hose that connects to the drier. They get clogged with link and can cause the drier to not being able to do its job well. Follow where the exhaust hose exits outside. Clean it if necessary. Use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air. Either works well. Hope This Helps.

They don't make the newer version easy. I know that when I used to take apart older commercial dryers, we learned a trick. When putting the drum in, you can move the unit onto its back so the drum stands up. Just remember, when you fix one, you're going to have to fix the other soon. Have a wonderful weekend Shannon 🍻

Just an FYI: I noticed you having a hard time putting the belt and the drum, motor, and tensioner pulley. I do believe there should be an access panel in the back that should access those components without having to do it from the front. Hope this helps.

That's the typical first world mentality just replace, replace, replace. Oh, okay. So she was encouraged to save some $$$ by buying new. How about the support of the livelihood of the repairman? My grandfather used 50 year old washer and dryers and a similarly old refrigerator because he believed in repairing them.

Hey Shannon, you have helped me out so much the last 3 years while working on an old house I bought and live in. Do you have a video of a 4 way switch with a fan on one switch and the light on the other? I found the 4 way switch with just a light switch but can’t find one with a fan light combo with the fan being on one switch and the light being on the other. I can’t find anything on the web either. Hope all is well and thank you for all the help over the years. 😊

Perfect video! $18 and four hours and my dryer no longer squeals like a stuck pig. Also it was pretty clogged up in a couple spots, especially down by the blower intake so all in all a great bit of maintenance. Any tips for the matching washer with a possibly bad control board? It works but has to be unplugged to reset every couple days.

Good save. You know you're The Man when you can get away with fixing a dryer in the living room! (unless that was your Christmas present...)
...I take it removing the back was a no-go. It sure looked like one could cut/convert an access panel on that lower corner. Either way, it looked time to service the front.

This video was super helpful to get ours fixed last night, thanks so much!! I did use WD40, but now I’m reading in some places you shouldn’t use that for flammable reasons. Thoughts on that?? I didn’t use a ton and would think it’s dry now.

Yeah, I have mine sitting on my porch right now. I will be cleaning it all up in a few days. It must be full of lint because my clothes emit this smell that almost makes it hard to breathe that smells like it may be burnt lint. It definitely gets way hotter than it should and have it on the lowest heat setting. Maybe I'll get pictures and turn it into a short video. I need to start uploading content that might be helpful to others.

those wheels or rollers it is called. do not use oil or WD40. they have a type of teflon in the pours of the bushing. NEVER use oil or grease it will load up with Lint and lock-up... and in the bag that had the wheels that little metal clip or called a speed nut is for a kenmore bracket that go's on the shaft of the roller for more support.. you do not need them on this unit.
