    Love how you showed us how to fix the belt and all the interior parts. But, yeah, you did skip few steps, but I got those from other YT videos. So, thank you for sharing your Knowledge. Much apprecaited. We are doing it now, and I don't understand why there is so much lint in ours. Yes, we clean it out, but MAN OH MAN did we have lots of lint. So, anyway, we're doing it slowly but thanks for helping my family save money.

    Hey everyone, if u have a whirlpool duet dry and your belt pulley is squeaking. You don’t always have to change it or replace it, try clean the shaft pulley with a pice if fine sand paper or crocus cloth. Use a few drops of oil and presto no more squeaking. Make sure you whip of any excess oil. Hope this tip, helps and saves you a trip to the appliance and and some money.😜

      someone had made a comment about oiling it and maybe that would fix the problem actually I did spray WD-40 on all the rollers and wheel works great no need to be replaced eventually I'll have to replace them but as for now no. I would definitely try to oil them first before replacing you have nothing to lose.

    • @licentiousdreams
      @licentiousdreams Před 3 lety

      Anyone reading this 6 years later please use a real grease and not wd-40. It may work and sound great at that moment but wd is not meant to lubricate long term. It will dry out any plastics and your belt to the point it fails much quicker. Just a friendly warning. Wd-40 is great for many things and will help loosen stuck pains in our ass but it isn't made to lubricate or grease something like bearings.

    • @condor5635

    So, I didn't have the snap ring removers, I went w/ the lubrication. Please include a link in the description for the kit, as I'm sure us 'lubricators' will need it in the future. So far the lubing is working, but I recommend actual lube like Tri-Flow instead of a water-dispersant like WD-40. If it eats bike chains, it'll eat roller axles...

      Nancy little late here. But you use a circlip removal tool which has different size ends unless it is one made specifically for this job. Find the two ends that fit into the little holes on the clips. Install the end pieces to your tool by inserting them in the tools end slots and screwing them down tight into the tool. Then like a pair of pliers you insert the end pieces into the two holes in the clip and open up the tool which will cause the clip to expand and be able to remove it from its retaining groove. To re-install place new pulley on its shaft, insert the ends into the clip holes and open up the tool handles which will open up the clip and allow it to slide over the shaft end into the retaining groove. Release tool allowing clip to seat in groove. You likely could use a small screwdriver to wedge the clips off and press them back on with a little patience if you don't have a tool.

I just wished you showed one with the idler arm, which is s-shaped with a long shaft that goes in to the motor housing has come out of alignment when the spring somehow let go. I can't seem to get the idler pulley to properly run in parallel alignment with belt holder on the motor. This causes the belt to crab off the idler pulley.
