Fitting 37” tires and some "trimming" on the 2024 Ram Power Wagon

  • Here are the changes made to increase the front tire clearance when turning the 37” tires on the 2024 Ram Power Wagon. Removed the bottom trim molding, drilled 2 holes in the bottom lip of the fender liner and used 3 zip ties to tie the liner back to the body mount with 1 zip tie around the body mount itself. Saw the zip tie trick on a CZcams video from Rocky Rohde. This definitely gives extra room for the 37s with no rubbing with some additional clearance when offroading. My tires are Toyo Open Country RT Trail 37x12.5x17 and measure 36.5” without load so they are smaller than some other 37s. It seems like from what I have seen online that they are similar in size to the BFG All Terrains.

    I’m gonna borrow your idea and zip tie mine back as well, after I cut them back they are a little floppy right there so that’s gonna work out nicely 👌🏽

      The zip ties definitely work well. I originally saw the idea from a YT video from Rocky Rohde.

      Hopefully it works well for your application. Which tire did you end up getting? Are you using the factory wheels or did you go with another wheel?

      @redbeastwagon got a screaming deal for some nitto g2s $1350 w shipping, and keeping stock rims. Do u thing .5 spacers would help the rub?;

      @@Matt-nz7hd I am assuming you have a PW and are using the stock wheels that came with it 17x8 with 6.2” backspacing. I would think that the 37s that are no wider than 12.5” would probably rub some on the radius arm or sway bar at full lock. If the tire is wider, it would definitely rub more. With the factory wheel backspacing, you probably wouldn’t rub on the inner fender liner. I have never used wheel spacers before and have tried to avoid them as I have heard of issues using them (don’t know for sure). However, a 1/2” spacer would put the backspacing at the right spot for 37s to not rub the sway bar at full lock with the factory wheels. 🤷‍♂

      @redbeastwagon yes I am stock rims... and these are not that aggressive so maybe on the low-end of 37. I think I'm gonna be okay

      I got my Nittos on, and they run about an inch smaller!!! There's no need to cut anything! We're u able to change the trucks computer without the dealership? The truck is locking me out
