sambar rice recipe | sambar sadam recipe | sambar rice & curd rice combo with detailed photo and video recipe. an extremely popular south indian lunch or dinner meal combo recipe made with rice and a combination of sambar spices. it is popularly prepared in south indian state of tamilnadu, but hugely popular among all the states of india. it has strong similarities to the karnataka version of bisi bele bath with the same texture and colour but has a unique flavour and taste to the recipe and is also much easier to prepare.

While seasoning an inch of ginger and one or two green chillies would have added to enhance the aroma and taste to the curd rice. The curd rice gives almost the same taste of that Dardyojanam served as prasadam in Vaishnava Temples
For preparation of this Prasad ginger and green chillies are used as the main ingredients.

Being a south Indian home we are regularly doing this Sambar rice. One difference is we here won't add coconut to the rice other than dat recipe is same. Coconut or kopra is added only to bisibelabath not Sambar rice.
