When Matt Damon ties up Kimmel and takes over his show is one of the best late night talk show things that I've ever seen.

Well damn. I always thought they must of been good friends that planned it. Damon is a real good sport to pick up and run with the gag. Been one of the funniest ongoing gags on tv that I can remember.
This and Paul Rudd's Mac and Me bit on Conan are the two best running gags on late night.
It's cool that he played along instead of telling his publicist to make Jimmy stop
Kimmel was able to turn a negative into a positive about not being able to get guests. While Leno relied on lame played out humor.
It’s also shitty of Leno. If I remember right, I think some celebrity just said to Leno, “You’re not gonna tell me what to do. Fuck you. I’ll go on Jimmy’s show.” Which started making it easy for everybody else to follow suit.
Leno wrecked him in ratings by double every night lol
@@ap3shhh Eh, only for a short while, though. There's a reason Jimmy still has a show and Leno was eventually pushed out.
@@TheGeorgeD13 yeah, it's called being number 1 for 22 seasons lol. He retired and came back because Conan wasn't doing so hot. I'm a huge Conan fan but no one could compete with Leno.

I love “the feud”. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, especially as they’re both in on it and sell it so perfectly you can’t help but laugh. I’d argue it gave birth to the “celebrity feud” fad that several actors and comedians have “taken on” over the years, for example Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds or The Rock and Kevin Hart. All funny, all in good humour and I’m here for it
Okay, okay! This so-call Kimmel & Damon feud is really old now and on over-kill. It's what? A 15 yr joke going on. It's not funny anymore how these $100 million stars are performing this FAKE-Feud with one another. How long they think we're going to laugh at the same joke over and over again? OMG!! This fake joke is so-staged.

The great thing is Kimmel needed to make this gag, and Damon took it on and ran with it. What a piece of luck for Kimmel. Crowe did that excellent with John Oliver ending up with the now famous "John Oliver Koala Chlamydia Ward". Perfect!

Leno reminds of the Wayne Brady sketch on the Chappelle Show, where he seems like such a loveable, mild mannered guy, but is a throat slashing thug in real life.

That might just be the Tonight Show producers. I remember hearing that the same thing was happening with Fallon, at the beginning when he was way ahead in the ratings. (Not saying Leno is a good guy, but he might not be the mastermind behind that particular move.)
Amongst late night shows Leno is the one guy pretty much everyone hates...
@@Rookiebatman I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but for the fact Letterman, Conan and Kimmel can't stand him. Fallon wants EVERYONE to like him, so he won't speak his mind on anything controversial.
The best ever was when Kimmel and Sarah Silverman broke up. Then she made a hilarious video "I f@$k&d Matt Damon" with Matt Damon.
He responded with an even funnier video with Ben Affleck saying "I f*"k&d Ben Affleck"

ya know i can see that because you can tell by the way he talks they are really friends, and though it's just a joke we all know it, they can really go pretty far with a joke that's been going on this long. and i think they both still enjoy doing it.

It keeps getting a laugh as people know it's coming and as I think back I'd have changed channels on an ending show if not for that joke. It's crazy that he just pulled it out of mid-air and not had it planned or written in as I can't think of a better choice than Matt Damon for making it go on for years.
