    -ABOUT THE 2014 DODGE DURANGO-
    LOOK COMPROMISE IN THE EYE WITHOUT BLINKING.
    The 2014 Dodge Durango makes no sacrifices. Rugged. Refined. Uncompromising.
    New available projector headlamps and fog lamps, LED daytime running lights and a new signature floating split-crosshair grille with aluminum mesh accents are designed to lead you forward without looking back.
    The terrain doesn't stand a chance against Dodge Durango thanks to its new available 18- and 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels in seven all-new designs and finishes.
    Our designers left nothing untouched, crafting a new LED racetrack taillamp with 192 individual LEDs that blend into one seamless ribbon of light.
    The revolutionary electronic rotary shift knob adds a unique level of interior refinement, while standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters help give precise manual control of the eight-speed transmission.
    The available class-exclusive 8.4-inch Uconnect® Access System[3] with WiFi[1] (Limited, R/T, Citadel) is designed around you, with 3-D maps, on-demand WiFi (available with paid subscription) Hotspot and downloadable apps.
    Buttons on the steering wheel give you control of the new dynamic digital instrument cluster with customizable 7-inch liquid crystal display, while standard paddle shifters give you manual shifting control of the eight- speed automatic transmission.
    Second-row passengers get a taste of hi-tech with an available dual-9-inch screen Blu-ray™ DVD system with inputs for High-Definition Media Interface (HDMI) and RCA cables plus wireless headphones and remote.
    A new fully electronic eight-speed automatic transmission with Eco Mode optimizes shift quality and shift points on the fly through all terrains and conditions for up to an expected nine-percent improvement in fuel economy from last year's model, quicker acceleration, smoother shifting and a Best-in-Class V6 driving range of over 600 miles
    Dodge Durango puts the Best-in-Class power of a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 (up to 295 hp) or available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine (360 hp & 390 lb-ft of torque) to the pavement with grace and precision thanks to a near 50/50 weight distribution, performance-tuned suspension and ultra-stiff body structure. It even has a Best-in-Class towing capability of 6,200 lbs (V6) and 7,400 lbs (V8).
    More than 60 standard and available Safety & Security features help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure in all conditions.
    www.dodge.com/en/2014/durango/
    -fine print!-
    1 The Uconnect® Web feature is not intended for use by the driver while the vehicle is in motion. Always drive safely.
    2 Based on manufacture's estimated 17 city/25 hwy mpg with 3.6L V6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, RWD. Actual mileage may vary.
    3 Based on 2013 Ward's Mid-size Sport Utility vehicle segmentation. Excludes other Chrysler Group LLC vehicles.
    4 The forward collision warning system is solely an alert system for the front of the vehicle which does not take any actions to change vehicle dynamics to avoid a collision; not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use brakes to avoid collisions.
    5 Adaptive Cruise Control is a driver convenience system, not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use brakes to avoid collisions.

    Excellent review! These guys actually point out the convenient details of the car that other reviewers completely omit. Well done! ...Just saw the 2014 Durango on the road, I was quite impressed.

    This the best review I have seen in the Dodge Durango so far. Good job; you actually have your opinion on the car and vs just listing futures which I can read myself

    Not to be the only negative critic, but you might want to forgo the excitement level when describing how fast the vehicle enters the freeway when every car is passing you in the background. Sorry but you lost me at that moment..

      Even when you're in a vehicle with a 6500 GVWR, cornering on a highway on-ramp, going 0-60 mph in UNDER 7 SECONDS!, you're still going considerably slower than vehicles on the actual highway doing 70 mph (or more). Give it a try in your own car.

    I sure would not want to spend $40K+ on a vehicle with less than 100 miles on it that has already been ragged out.

    @bestofnyc Před 10 lety +1

    Ummmm the Ford Explorer Sport does not leave the RT in the dust. It less than a half a second faster and that's nothing depending on who the driver is. The RT offers more anyways chump!

    I'm sure they could squeeze a lot more horses out of that engine or is just me. Ford 1L 125bhp, 6.4 = 306bhp????

      +Andre Williams yeah, but the important thing is torque, that's the thing that really pulls your car away from others when you speed up

  • @vaporeizied8
    @vaporeizied8 Před 10 lety

    um yea, the hemi helps buddy, but its rear wheel drive pushing more torque. thats why you feel like your driving a muscle car and the challenger
    psst its less hp then the ford explorer sport eco boost! seriously puts the 5.7 hemi to shame-

      @kayvanl.1667 Před 9 lety +5

      vaporeizied8 Yeah but you are still driving an explorer. By the way,
      Dodge Durango R/T - 5200lbs - 0-60 - 6.6 secs - Tows 7500lbs
      Ford Explorer Eco - 4882lbs - 0-60 - 6.5 secs - Tows 5000lbs
      Yes, really puts it to "shame"....
