    Great video. You hit all of the major points. Gathering up the info and making it concise with a few things added in.
    *P1P* 599 barebones with camera and light no side blower fan(AUX fan) no lidar. Parts can be added to make it a p1s
    *P1S* 699 same as above with plastic enclosure, adds AUX fan
    *P1S combo* 949 Adds AMS
    *X1* 999(discontinued) Plastic enclosure(side panels), no camera, or hardened equipment stock. No Aux fan or carbon filter. Parts can be added to make it an X1C. Better screen. That touch screen doubles as processing power for the unit which is needed for the lidar, camera spaghetti monitoring and other cloud functions if you add camera.
    *X1C* 1199 the whole enchilada, Metal enclosure, Better camera than the rest*, hardened equipment, extruder and nozzle , carbon filter
    *X1C combo* (AMS) 1449 basically X1C with AMS
    All models can use AMS and AMS can be added up to 4 units(16 colors) 350 a piece and 50 for a 4x ams hub
    *The P1 series cameras are lower resolution(720P) and lower fps(0.5fps). vs the X1C 1080P resolution and 24FPS. So viewing footage during prints are clearer and faster with the X1C. Both can run time lapse.

    In my mind, the absolute best value is the p1s with a hardened steel nozzle and extruder gears as add ons. I don’t see the LiDAR as being very useful and considering you can add the AMS to the p1s, you’re barely missing anything and saving $400

    I own an older p1p but converted it to a p1s via the kit, haven’t looked back and best bang for your buck IMO. If the p1s was around at the time definitely would’ve gotten that one instead. Does everything I need including abs and nylon (w/ hardened gears and extruder of course) with some minor hick up’s from time to time but nothing pain staking. If you want to mess around more and don’t mind getting a little hands on get the p1s, if you want a do all be all (for the most part) and have the budget for it then get the X1 Carbon. Those new A1’s seem interesting and tempting to mess with, might be good ideas (or excuse) for kids also. Cheers.

    Went for the X1CC when it was first released,and have since added a second AMS unit, which has been invaluable a few times I’ve needed to print 8 colours. There have been a couple of hardware issues along the way, the MC fan needed replacing, so I fitted a Noctua replacement, and the colour screen cable had an issue, which Bambu Labs initially diagnosed as a faulty screen, and was finally resolved after two replacement screens had been sent.
    Otherwise it’s printed pretty flawlessly, and has run for over 2,100 hours of actual print time since purchase, printing everything from Christmas and Halloween toys and decorations, home utility pieces, hooks, hangers, storage units, Garage tool storage, Greenhouse guttering, IBC container fittings and adaptors, Lego compatible train track, some Catan games, and loads and loads of Gridfinity storage system pieces.

    Was on the fence between X1C and P1S either w AMS and as a noob watched plenty videos. I ended up w P1S w AMS and purchased plenty spare parts, like complete hot ends and addition extruder w upgraded hardened gears so can upgrade existing extruder. Have had my printer less then a week and absolutely like it. The software is very intuitive with a bit of help concerning best settings and Googling that. After spending an afternoon really scrutinizing the printer and AMS and checking Bambu's web site for available parts, I believe these printers for the most part are very maintainable by the end users. The quality is really good too and I would even say Bambu are the DJI of printers, as DJI are of drones. Really impressed! I will be buying a 2nd, but not w an AMS.
    Edit.. so after a month I ended up getting an additional 3 P1Ss each with AMS. YEAH these printers are really great 👍

      @viduraherath4008 Před 3 měsíci

      I would say the X1c is great for print farms since the lidar and camera and AI stop bad prints and allow you to not worry about anything, but it prints the same as a p1s. If you arent planning to run a print farm and instead you just want to have one or 2 printers for personal use in a place where you will be checking, there's almost no reason to get the x1. You can even get the hardened hotend for the p1s to print with engineering filaments. If the analogue screen is a dealbreaker for you, you can get a bigtreetech screen hub for the p1s which also connects to multiple bambulab printers and works like an x1 screen@@CubesAndPortals

The speed is good but the acceleration is pretty low for a core XY (a basic ender 3 can manage 500 mm/s^2), in comparison all the bambu lab printers can manage 500 mm/s rated max speed (although you will print slower) and 20,000 mm/s^2 acceleration (although you will typically lower this too, default settings are 10,000 mm/s^2).

    I have been looking forward to a review on these myself. From what I can tell based on the site. The PIP is best for PLA and other lower temp material. PIS is better for Mid-range material like ASA and maybe ABS, but not good for Carbon fiber and other higher temp materials. If you want to work with higher temp stuff, than the X1C is your best choice. From what I can tell all the printers can print everything but your results will vary, and you might to replace things like the hotend. So if you really only printer with PLA and PETG than the P!P makes the most sense. If you want to use ASA and ABS, then PIS. If you want to print higher end stuff like Carbon fiber most of the time, then the X1C is your best bet.

      Yea, but you can also just get a P1S and opt for the upgraded nozzle assembly and extruder gear for an additional $55USD and have similar performace to the X1C. I usually don't mind spending the extra for a flagship model but it's ~$600 for the X1C for just an upgraded screen, (which is a pretty big interface difference it seems..) aluminum chassis, and the Lidar system which you don't even really need if you're fine with manual calibration, of which the Bambu slicer makes that pretty simple to do. I just got the P1S w/ AMS can't wait for it to come in..

    • @conorstewart2214

      @@dinosoarskill17 The X1C has a higher bed temperature (120 C) and I believe can heat the enclosure hotter (60 C apparently with 120 C bed), they are pretty much essential for filaments like polycarbonate and some nylons. These do appear from what I could find online to be artificial limits on the P series to keep people buying the X1C.
      Also the lidar is good for having that, "just works", experience with reducing as much manual calibration as possible, although you wont see much difference just printing standard common filaments like PLA, PETG and ABS with the X1C or P series since the default values are good enough, it could have some very easy results with expanding filament like lightweight PLA or varioshore though which I have yet to try.
      All bambu lab printers tend to be very reliable but the higher quality camera and spaghetti detection as well as the other features may be valuable to some people.

      The X1C uses more powerful processors, it uses a quad core rockchip processor with a 2 TOPS NPU (that is what runs the spaghetti detection) whereas the P series uses an ESP32 microcontroller.
      So effectively the X1C has an SBC in it which runs the display and printer functions and file storage whereas the P series only has an ESP32 microcontroller which is probably why the camera resolution and frame rate are so low, why the screen is basic, why it can't handle the lidar and why you can't access the videos on the SD card wirelessly.

    So is the x1 and x1 carbon (without the 4 color filament thing) basicly the same thing? Was that the reason why they discontinued it?

      @OriginaldoBo so the X1 is the exact product then. Literitly exactly the same as the x1 carbon with or without the 4 filament feature.
      It probably don't mater since it's discontinued, but I'm only asking because I was realy confused when they said that it was discontinued when there is literitly a stand alone x1 carbon. Like I realy don't know what makes something a carbon.

      It's not just the speed. It's the way it was able to actualy print so fast without problems. I see many printers that advertise that they are realy fast and all. And though it's true that the head tlcan move reaky quick, there will be alot of vibrations which causes bad surfaces, so yiu can't realy use the speed. The bamboo printers however, has a feature where it calibrate the vibrations based on whatever surface the printer is siting on. After it calibrate, the printer will try to correct itself from whatever vibrations is present and will cause less ringing or binding on the prints and have a much smoother finish. With that, it makes it posible to actualy print fast for real.

    I'm considering the X1C without the AMS for Black Friday. I've had the Prusa Mini for a couple years now and it's been an absolute work horse, but I want something bigger and more advanced/convenient to use. I was considering the Creality K1 Max AI since it's only $719 right now, but after watching more videos I've seen it has more problems than I'd like and would need to upgrade the hotend and use ORCA slicer which supposedly causes the printer to be slower for the fix in print quality. I am extremely tempted by the P1S at $600 right now, it would be easy on my budget and can be upgraded to print more materials like the X1C can, but it doesn't have the lidar, camera, or touch screen interface, which are all features that I really want and I think are worth it to me for an extra $400. What I'd like to know is should I just go all out and buy the AMS or is it ok if I buy that later when I can afford it? Is there anything that I'd be missing by buying it separately?

    • @lb8384

    @ShawnHicks-os6jp Před 7 měsíci

    Truthfully, the p1s is probably the best value of the lineup. The p1s price is so much better then the x1c and x1. the display being plain is basically the only part thats kinda a bummer but the phone app pretty much makes up for that. With all that said if you print carbon filaments then the x1 series is probably what you need but I havent needed to print carbon filaments, yet. I have the x1c, the p1p and p1s and i wish all of them were p1s printers honestly. the X1c just feels like i overpaid since the p1s does everything just as good. the p1p im irritated because i sometimes wish it were enclosed, and since i bought it on release to upgrade it with the kit bambu offers ill have paid 849 for a p1s.... and before you say well just enclose it for yourself, yes i can do that but you still need to buy the p1s back panel and mainboard fan so you dont overheat the printer.
    Honestly im frustrated that there isnt much information about a larger printer from bambu other then it will be in the next generation printer from them. build volume isnt announced but speculation seems to indicate something between 350mm cubed to 450mm cubed. I kinda think it might be both, the first printer in the next gen probably will be 350mm which isnt that much larger then the current offering. Im hoping 400mm to 420mm cubed. Until they make those moves im going to move forward with a purchase of either the elegoo neptune 4 max or the anycubic kobra2 max to fill the void since ive been without a large format fdm for too long and im tired of slicing larger files up so much.
