- Yo what's up Hemifam family I recently decided I wanted to do a full wrap color change on my Scat Pack Charger and decided just to order the vinyl and do it myself. This was the first full car I've ever wrapped and a really fun but long process a huge shout out to G Spot Autoworks for coming to help with bumpers and teach me a few tricks. I will be uploading the full wrap in a series of videos starting with this one be sure to let me know what you think of the process and the new color. Watching the battle with the door, lets me know why everyone pays someone else $ to do it. Contours are a real learning curve
The door is actually quite easy when done correctly I had way too much material up top that didn’t play well with the mirror at all. The correct way is to slide an even cut piece up under the mirror and it would have glasses itself out the passenger side was breeze when done correctly.
How many feet of vinyl did you order for the full car wrap? I am actually going to try to wrap mine pretty soon

50-60 feet but if you a beginner just get 75 feet for mistakes

How do yoh vent the edges? And what parts do ypu use the cutting tape for like the curves. I wanna start wrapping mine too. But tgeres a few tricks that i dont know how to properly do. Thanks
Because on the edges im scared theyll start pilling off
On the gap between the door and the fender do you cut on the middle of the gap or do you cut it flush with the door edge?.
Or do you cut in the middle of the gap leaving a little bit and vending it inside the part?

I ordered a full roll 375 Sq/ft and had plenty of left over since I did good and roof black.

Hemifam honestly I want to do a wrap bc maintaining the black is a force but i do wanna commit to my red and black theme i planned i might just gloss black wrap some parts 🤷🏻♂️
You really have to wrap it yourself they charging a full paintjob if not more for you to get your car wrapped professionally smh
sorry but that was painful to watch, wrapping that door is supposed to be the easiest part of the whole car, wayyyy too much pulling and excess vinyl.
Boricua Cowboy ummmm that’s why it’s called a DIY wrap lmao. This was actually the first door I wrapped and learned a lot from it.
