You should give the 'On An Island' record a listen. You may find some tracks very enjoyable.
Also, Roger's 'Amused To Death' is a masterpiece. Head & shoulders above all his other releases.
Oh he's been a busy lad. But a lot of his music was merely internal, and with family since his last solo album. Yes, this new one hits the spot, and in fact another track dropped today which features his daughter Romany, who is a spitting image of a young David, and seems to have inherited some of that brilliance as well. Not paying alot of attention to David Gilmour for the last 15 years has you missing a master evolution.
Ya know... My girlfriend had me listen to some stuff from On An Island and it was much better than I had expected. No offense to Gilmour - who is one of favorite guitarists - but I wasn't ever wowed by About Face or The Division Bell, so I lost track of his work. And, yeah...I think I'm going to do some catching up. I definitely missed some really good stuff.
@@BleedingEdgeProg Understandable. The Division Bell album, which was overproduced, comes to life live as does David. Every one of his songs are much better live. I suggest watching the Pulse Concert 1994, Live at Gdansk 2006?, Live at Pompeii and Remember that Night to really see how he has evolved.
