Yeah I'm a big headphones guy. In my opinion it's the only way to roll. Sound delivered right into your head, with all distractions outside in the world gone.
My right earbud driver blew up yesterday so i can't take advantage of the binaural audio 😔

I feel like Mercedes has really overdone themselves in these past few years and I really like how eco friendly and complex their new cars are but I'm just concerned about the longevity with all the complex systems they have integrated.
How is this car eco friendly?

@@rv2167 Well alot of their models have the EQ boost which is an electric motor that improves torque when the turbos are spooling as well as other electric motor stuff and the GLC 350e which is an actual hybrid then the next generation AMG C class will be a hybrid 4 cylinder
The traffic light feature might seem pretty useless to an American, but to europeans this is life changing since our traffic lights aren't on the other side of the road, so they are pretty hard to see sometimes

@@Thatguy-gc9qu you re so wrong. Us citizen cant even understand lightings. Always crash bcz of not stopping at red lights. They should have put the lights as close as their eyes so they might understand.
I lived in Germany for awhile. I do not remember this light placement issue. However, I did learn quickly that there is NO right turns while sitting at red lights. I had a whole crowd turn and stare at me when I did this. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳🤷🏻♂️
I love the conservative exterior styling. I like cars that don't attract too much attention and I can enjoy it in peace.

Yep I love doing the door test to see how solid it sounds. While newer Benzes and Audis have solid doors (especially the Q7) nothing beats the old school 80s and older German car doors.
You can hear how good the soundproofing is when you got out of the car to show the exterior
I love how every Mercedes 6 cylinder sounds. The M272, M276, and this Inline 6 all sound kinda the same. I love it!
I find their 6-cylinder (even the older V6) have superior 'drive refinement standard' than the motorcar V8 engines ! So initially i used to prefer the V8 over the V6 or inline-6 but the more i experience the motorcar V8's i seem nowadays less impressed with it & instead prefer even the inline-5 or inline-6 or V6 & V12 over the V8 due to the unwelcomed rough sounding nature when revved of the V8.
@@hseochin I was sitting in a 2011 S550 the other day, and I (very respectfully) am going to have to disagree! The engine started and ran so smoothly and quietly, compared to my V6. I have a 2006 ML350 with the M272, and the S550 had the M273, the same engine just with 2 more cylinders. It was noticeably quieter and much smoother. The V6 is great, and very pleasant to live with, but I do think the V8 is on another level.
@@sethsteener I've never disagreed the V8 can sound more gentle & quiet relative to their V6 but that's during idling & gentle driving only.
The characteristic I come to dislike of the (motor car version) V8 is the relatively rough & loud sounding nature when it's revved hard because when the V6, inline 6 or 5 or even V12 are driven hard into the higher rpm levels, these still impress as the more smooth running, less harsh & more quiet relative when compared to a V8 or inline 4 when driven under high revs extreme conditions.
I do find the low rpm idling nvh levels of the V6 even inline 6 (at least their old models) tend to be somewhat more buzzy & audible hence nosier than their V8 or inline 4 under those situations.
That's why overall for my preferences, I nowadays avoid the V8 or 4-cylinder models & go for minimum 5 or 6-cylinder or V12 for overall superior running smoothness & quiet refinement.
@@hseochin I do have to agree with you there. I revved up the S550 a little bit and it became a bit more choppy. The V6 in my ML and even the I6 in my friend’s GS300 are both much smoother revving engines throughout the whole rev range.
Wow roughly 600 miles in full tank, and this not even a diesel. Worth it 👍👍

I used to be a huge fan of
the 5 series until the F10. G30 really set the nail in the coffin. This E class is so much nicer than the current 5 series, and now it also offers an I6. No brainer, I’d go for the Mercedes.

Amazing. I wish those Honda, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai etc. fanboys would watch these videos. They keep going on and on about brand snobbery when in fact this E450 for example blows all of those cars out of the water in every way. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it better than those cheaper "value" cars? Yes. I actually used to dislike the 2017 and older generation of Mercedes, but recently they have improved so much. I feel like they deserve a lot more credit now. A lot of people buying used Mercedes are still getting the older generation so it's not even an accurate representation of Mercedes in the recent years.
Yeah I got an accord 2.0 and want to upgrade but this is double the cost but it’s worth it.

I disagree about the E-class. The older model had actual creases on the body, unlike the mama bear look of the new E. Unfortunately, the new Mercedes bulbous look has never grown on me, on any of its models but the S-class. The new E class is pretty anonymous and underwhelming unless completely tricked out. The 2021 is a bit better with the less triangular taillights, but this E simply isn’t as elegant as the previous model, IMO.

I got a 450 here at my dealer in Germany. I always wanted a 6 cylinder car. Insurenace and tax is very high. It would be a car i drive for about 6-8 years. Would you confirm to buy it? ^^

Inside looks mint. Engine sounds good. Run flats are no bueno senōr. Not a fan of the tail lights. I don’t like how it splits with trunk. Overall too conservative with the body. I like the spirited driving!

Thanks for highlighting the bass heavy default sound of the Burmester. It actually gave me a headache every time after I finished a trip. (Even while listening to Blackmill). I had to dial down treble by 2 notches, and bass by 4 notches to get a relatively flat sound profile from the system. Its much better now.
Same for the run flat tires. On 20" AMG wheels they wear like rubber bands and transmit every pothole & bump - it crashes through to the driver very abruptly through the Airmatic shocks. Stick with 18" wheels and put on some conventional tires with more air and softer rubber. Rides like a W221 S Class now.

Seems like the E class for now on is the driver's sporty sedan since MB decided to lump the U.S. market with the Chinese auto market. Sad too. I don't know ANYone that would rather dive the mini-limo effects of the new S class. Want a standard wheelbase S class? The only way that's possible is to spend far more cash for coupe or AMG model! Fortunately, we still can get a very nice standard wheelbase in the E class model range. So disappointed with MB decision to put the states in with the Chinese market! I no of no one that wants to be chaffered around in their S class!

I like the luxury, beauty, features, and straight-six. I passed on the last-gen E Class for the same reason--bothersome infotainment system. I like interacting with my car, and Mbux is not convenient for me.

I don’t know if the 48v system is fixed but in warm climates the battery will somehow overheat and turn off the car automatically. Making the driver stranded and having the car towed to the dealer.

I've dailied a 2018 since new and that's never been an issue for me. Nice thing is, you can turn it off if it bothers you.
I'm really going to miss this generation of interior design once the new redesigned 2023 E Class comes out. The interior looks so classy, luxurious, and well-crafted. The ergonomics aren't completely ruined like the current S-Class. Mercedes really outdid themselves with this generation, I think we will look back on this as one of the best interior designs from Mercedes.
I believe the rear USB-C ports are in the flip out compartment below the rear air vents.
I absolutely love your videos, lately. However, what I don't understand is why these manufacturing automakers thinks it's okay to make the actual horn center of the wheel so small?
I'll agree with you here that the centre boss of the steering-wheel is too small ! And the star is ridiculously big...no sense of proportion these new M-B designers i'm unimpressed to note !! The way they did it in like the W211..the star size is not too big not too small & the steering-wheel area size is about right ! That's why my stand is that nowadays they should at least offer some options of at least 2 or 3 different steering-wheel designs to customise for one's car.

I've not been able to figure out how to get the engine to shut off while coasting. I have it in eco mode, gone through every setting I could find and cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it
