    A little story for you in 1981 a buddy and me hitch hiked from central La. To New Orleans so he could buy one of these trucks same color even after we left the dealership we bought some beer and decided to take back roads home about 50 miles from home a 10 point deer jumped in front of the truck bent the bumper broke the grill blood everywhere we could not leave the deer so we put it put of its misery how sad that was even though we were hunters we had nothing but the jack that came with the truck so more blood loaded the deer in the back of the truck when we got home man oh man did his parents freak out at the sight of us and the truck all covered in blood lol

Also reminds of a friend of mine had 1977 GMC High Series Serria Scottdale 25 3/4 ton , his had 292 6 cylinder motor with 2 barrel carb , 2 fuel tank, Power Steering also Brakes, chrome west coast , 411 rear end gears too! Plus late friend of my late dad had Chevrolet , GMC in 1940 to 1995 pickup up in 1/2 , 3/4 , 1 tons in so many of them in different colors, Powertrains and all steps plus 2 or 4 wheels drives plus 1 or 2 fuel tanks ! Funny part when farm sale happen in 2017 truck sold for nice money and wishes could got one too! Also question you ask Richard did Farmers use trucks of step sides to get stuff out sides that is correct and myself was farm boy growing up years ago and did help lots !

  • @marionsimonds5469
    @marionsimonds5469 Před 6 měsíci

    Ok , so Richard says he has no idea why the engine broke loose with foreward motion ? I think it’s because of the trans gear ratios . Along with the fact that on dirt, there’s very little grip to the tires to begin with . So from all I can say I have encountered through the years , whenever you’re trying to break an engine loose , with a standard trans, your very highest option, is its highest foreward gear, on a surface where the tires will grip their best , and simply rock the thing back n forth . And in high gear , you’re not fighting any sort of gear reduction , working against you ! Love watching all these videos ! And thanks for sharing them !
