Never had so much fun watching two fellas working on a dirty old tow truck. Mojo is a gem.

When I went to buy a tow pig, everyone told me those stock 6.2's are great motors if you don't exceed their limits or hotrod them. It's great to see Mojo at work, not just background noise.

The best part was one of Mojo's mumbled comments. Mortske said "It wont give me my socket back!" and Mojo quietly mumbles "Well, you cant sweat the small stuff." Pure gold.

Mechanics like Mojo are a passing breed. Just try to find anyone ( yourself included) that knows so much keeps at it, and won’t stop till he gets it done.

This is one of my favourite Mortske episodes. I could listen to old mechanics like Mojo for hours. I know at the beginning he didn't want to be on camera at all but hopefully there's more like these.
You might consider using a rubber tipped air nozzle and shoot air into the glow plug hole on each cylinder to see where the air is going. That would tell you whether the head gasket is bad. A 6.2/6.5 is an indirect injection system, meaning the injector sprays fuel into a pre-chamber instead of right on top of the piston. The glow plug heats the prechamber, which gets the fuel to ignite and start the engine. This is also why the glow plugs are needed year round. Going back to the beginning of the video, the previous owner said the engine was locked up. Perhaps it was hydro-locked from coolant entering the combustion chamber from a blown head gasket. In the time the engine sat, the coolant seeped by the rings and let the engine spin.

You and Mojo make a great team. He’s got so much knowledge, there’s nothing greater than watching an old school mechanic at work.
He probably knows more service manuals by heart than most genius engineers forgot about.
You can learn from books, video's etc, but nothing better than listening and watching a old school guy show you how it's done.
