We Don't Talk Anymore - Cliff Richards (Yacht Rock Drum Cover)

This is another yacht rock favorite! The groove is straight up English pop music with twist of funky disco! It does groove! I did one version closer the original part, but this one had a few “Earl moments” and won out!
Now, after almost 40 years of marriage I can tell you the number one, most important, relationship builder is communication! This guy’s relationship (the one in the song) is not doing to well! Not talking is painful and probably indicates that relationship is going under! So it’s actually a pretty sad song in my book, with a catchy upbeat hook! Isn’t that always the best pop music!

@@earldrum Graham Jarvis was Cliff's regular drummer but Trevor played on this track, Graham (RIP) drank himself to death i think it was 1984-1985? he was well known for his heavy, heavy drinking.

I had a keyboard in the 80s that had this high-hat and drum beat as one of the rhythm presets! You Hammered this one, really enjoyed the rock steady beat and wonderful tom fills. Fun...🎵

Years ago I worked Master Control/Board Operator TV station and we ran that awful Solid Gold show 😖I recall him on their quite a bit.😂
