February 2024 and I'm listening to this classic 😊
It’s crazy how a song can instantly take you back to a specific place and time. This song started playing in the U.S. just before Christmas of 1979 and was all over the radio in January and February of 1980. I was eight years old and can still remember what I was doing that snowy winter as this song played in the background.
nothing like the music from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s! they don't make gems like this anymore!
One of the best songs Cliff has made. 2023 and it still sounds good and so fresh.
This is when singers could really sing..when they sounded like their albums and no auto tune❤13 when this came out..best memories ever!!

I'm 62 and have the same birthday as Cliff (October 14th,) this was a great Summer back then. I left home for London that year never looked back although l wish for those care free times .

I was 13 in 1979. This song is still as fresh and catchy as it was back then. Cliff Richard is a superb singer and entertainer. I wish I had a time machine to go back to those lovely days.

yes, I know what you mean. i was 12 and have fond memories of a long lost love from 7th and 8th grade. Susan Sams who I have not seen in over 40+ years now. each time I hear this song i am reminded of her through the long grey mists of time but the real heart break is i do not even have a picture of her, just a memory of a dark brown haired girl with beautiful brown eyes.

Growing up in the 70's was fun. Back then we could take candy from strangers, legally ride in the back of trucks, play video games the size of refrigerators and use the "I was going to call you but couldn't find a phone" excuse.

@@jamesdunn9714 not me. Back in the 50, 60, 70's the DJ took requests and played what the people wanted to here and he wanted to play. Music was the first thing that I remember being taken over by the suits and money grabbers. THAT is the day music really died.
Sir Cliff Richard is one of the most talented artist. Still rock and rolling to this day. I am grateful for the music.
But he was over shadowed by Elvis the Pelvis during those times.
Apparently he was/is called "The English Elvis". I always like "She's just a Devil Woman' from 10th grade. I Googled his net worth and it's a respectable $110 million dollars. I was glad to see he was doing well.
