Have these GT Cut 2s, LBJ20s and KD15s. These Cut 2s felt lighter than the KD15s and less bulky than the LBJ20s. They offer excellent traction and support but not quite as bouncy and slightly less heal lockdown than the LBJ20s as the Cut 2s don’t have any fancy lacing system. They felt better over the KD15s in terms of lateral grip which is nothing short of amazing on indoor courts. I highly recommend the Cut 2s for shifty players who play below the rim. Aesthetically, the pink pearls are dope but the GT Cut 1 Blue Voids are undefeated IMO.
The older performance reviews on the website were super helpful when reading the articles and seeing how the different categories were judged (i.e. 6th man, All-Star, Hall of Fame, etc).. will these ever be making a comeback?
I love the perforated neoprene tongue as well, its my favorite synthetic, and I agree I loved the the knit on the 1s sad to see they've down graded. Happy to see they've upgraded the midsole slightly by extending its exposure more into the mid-foot.

This sneaker is great, but I just got my pair and it has the most insane insole. It hurt my feet so bad after just standing up for a minute to the point where I wouldn’t be able to go hours like that without doing some damage. I replaced the insole with a way thinner insole, and it fits so much better now! I almost gave up on these from the jump.
The visual appearance of the new shoe compared to the original is a clear downgrade. Nike really missed the mark not making more of the original and skipping making a new version for a while. People considered this line a suitable replacement fit the Kobe line. Now we've got a shoe that will likely perform well, but lacks the visual appeal to move units. These will sit unless they make only 10 of them like they did the originals.

I have the Cardinal 3s and the difference in comfort between those and the desert elephant 3s is substantial

Like it’s crazy to me that the gt cut is still going for $300 and these are looking to follow that. Kids parents can’t even afford to buy them these shoes for ball season and nothing is done. Just shows 1 resellers really don’t care about anything but profit for reselling these shoes and 2 these sneaker companies truly don’t care about their consumers at all.

IMO the GT cut was too heavy. I wish they were closer to the weight of the Kobe 11s full length zoom.
Agreed. Too much plastic and materials in the heel. Was 100 grams heavier than the Kobe 11. Apparently the 2.0’s are lighter tho.
