After all these years I still feel like a 90s kid on a Saturday morning when I see one of y’all’s reviews pop up on my feed, especially when it’s a brand new model! Love the education, transparency & flat out honesty! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

As a 90's kid, I remember the smell of new sneakers and can relate to Chris when he does that; also, I clearly remember 90s Nike sneakers had better foam and the herring bone traction was omnipresent on all Bball shoes and the compound was softer and comfortable af.
Reminds me of an updated and revised version of the LeBron 17 because of the zoom pods and rear cushion switch from air max to react. Glad to hear the GT Run will return albeit under a new name and to hit all three I’ll just say that the first GT cut should always be in production in its OG form. That shoe was amazing.
Hope to have mine this Friday! At 40, that cushion is very important! Especially when you’re a “short rebounder”.
I love these. They look like a cross between the GT Run, GT Jump, Jordan 34s, and Lebron 19 Lows. Definitely an intriguing shoe. I also think these would be a great fit for OG Annuoby. He's always wearing the LeBron 19 lows. Looks like a shoe for a shifty guard / wing that also plays great defense.
Played in these yesterday. It’s like walking on a bouncy trampoline. Elite cushioning and surprisingly it has stability. Was able to play comfortable defense and shifty offense without feeling like I was tipping over or about to roll my ankle. Idk how Nike did it but they did it. These are way better than the GT Jump 1s and the GT Cut 2s. The only shoe that I think can outperform these are the Jordan 38s

As a 240 lbs 33 year old, i can appreciate these. Kinda weird to me how Nike sells work, in Canada they weren't member exxlusive, i actually got them last week without a membership.
Thanks for the review Chris! I'm a guy who prefers midcut shoes, and most "midcut" these days really aren't. Also, I have a bulkier build, so these shoes fit the bill for what I'm looking for. Shoutout for mentioning the Air Flight Turbulence!!! I had those back in the 1997-98.

Amazing shoe, bought one pair, definitely add some vertical, helps protecting the foot and the heel, it is stable and has good outdoor endurance. Its actually rewarding you for jumping and moving fast, more power and speed you create it helps you jump higher, you just need to get used to it since it adds like 1.5 inches once you put them on. Walking around in them is like walking on clouds. Really really good shoe, maybe its not for everyone, but for heavier one or two foot jumpers or runners its absolutely amazing. Im 6.4 240 and its amazing. I went up half a size and its perfect after breaking in.
So buy them half a size up
Played in these a few times right now, and I love it.
Cushioning is the softest I’ve tried, so heavier players with foot problems are going to be fine. Lighter players, look elsewhere. You’re not going to maximize the features of this shoe.
The bounce that you get from those zoom pods are amazing too. You will surely jump higher with this shoe.
Running was also better compared to the Jump 1s, but since you’re pretty high off the ground due to that thicc sole/cushion, it’s not better than other low or mid top shoes.
This exactly what I was looking for. I’m a relatively built dude and 6’2, with that plus my play style (plus the fact I broke my right ankle years ago) I really look for cushioning and sneakers built for bigger guys
@@KJK51192 i have a lot of ankle probs myself but i was ok in the Jump2. Though the height and the mid-cut ankle support might be a concern if u have really bad ankles. Moving laterally was ok, but if ur going top speed trying to keep up with shifty guards, beware.

Aesthetically they look massive and overall better from the previous Jump. The quality and the technology of the shoe have been upgraded without sacrificing the performing.
Just bought the black ones. And wow. Amazing. I have a drop foot from an Injury and helps a lot to walk
MAN once I seen the thumbnail on this I couldn’t and I mean COULD NOT wait! Then I missed it for 2 days cause of work I’m so ready for these lite version cause I love Jokic why I got them but man I need a shift shoe for the big man

I ordered a pair. I love the style and way it looked and seems to be best for the ankle. As I age I only like the shoes that seem good for the ankle and heel. That’s why I can’t hoop in the LeBron Shoes no more. Every time he had a foot or ankle issue I did as well. It’s more of a low top whereas this GT 2 seems to have just as much cushion or more with better ankle support and stability.
These might be the sleeper of 2023. For the money and what kind of insane technology your getting its a smart buy. The shoes will adapt to your constant movements and it will predict your muscles tensions from foot foundation all the way to your Achilles. It’s an amazing shoes. Nike zoom technology just got a big update. 💪
Air Turbulence= Damon Stoudamire’s!! He’s the player I associate with them the most. I had a pair & LOVED THEM! From a time when Nike Basketball ran things. Thanks for that Chris.

Don't sleep on these, they're 🔥🔥🔥 I've had mine for a couple of weeks and they're really good!! I've got 4 pairs of the GT Jump 1's (that's how much I liked them), but these are next level.
What are the points that you think are better?
@borisfishman7553 I find these are more comfortable, have better court feel, grippy, I feel my foot is more contained while still keeping the extensive cushioning and support.
I didn't think they could improve on the 1's, but they did. These have become my go-to shoes for games/scrimmage
As a post player, I love shoes that have stability 💯
I've been waiting for these! I can't wear the first version a 12 is super snug on my foot. I'm going to order a 13 this time around. Can't wait to play in these.

I absolutely LOVED the first ones! I have bad grandpa knees and the GTJump1s left my knees with zero aches after long plays.
Im a brazilian with old knees too. I know your pain. Small/medium fissures on my cartilage. So i bought AJ 36 low in this year and helped my jump, and my pain too. The gt jump 2 are better than de AJ 36? Or similar to the lebron xx?
@@filipeschroeder7243 GT Gut 2s are similar to 1s I'd say as far as cushions/knee protections. But better stability I'd say since they're slightly lower. Lebron xx are much less cushion imo. Tudo bem my friend (my ex was a Brazilian lol) 🙏
Cool little detail is the mini swoosh incorporated in the large swoosh
I have the originals and now the 2s and I prefer the 2s over the originals. The heel feels much better in my opinion.

Really dig what Nike is doing with the bball line. A mix of heavy tech looking shoes with these and more lifestyle looking with deldon (w/ great tech), book, Freak and Ja. Hopefully Ja and Book have great tech since Freak seems lacking. Also these have a evolutionary Lebron look if they hadn't switched it up.

For sure court feel was traded for cushioning but the good thing is it's stable as chris said. With that full length zoom strobel, i'm actually waiting for a good colorway

Has anyone gotten these shoes and the glue separates from the insole and makes a sticky stepping sound when you wear them!? I’m returning the all red ones because of this issue.
It looks to me that they "absorbed" the Run model to the Jump 2 because the Jump 2's cut is, as far as I can see it, the same height as the Run (but lower than the higher cut OG Jump)

Totally agree. It’s actually more of a successor to the Zoom BB NXT. I have both that and the jump 2s, and where the Jump 2s excel is in their stability and a slightly lower ride.
It looks like rhe original GT Jump had more cushion thank god i picked up 3 pairs and 2 of them i have not worn yet. When ever i go indoors to ball ill be use my black pair to ball.

Im 1,90 metros 🇧🇷 (6'2) and get the AJ 36 low. But i want to fix the problem: sprain ankle. 6 months with them and almost sprained 3 times.
Do the gt jump 2 fix this problem and give me the traction + one foot jump more vert?
