He definitely had dental work, but he's been in front of a camera lens constantly since he was 18. Every change in his face gradually resulted from him filling out and getting older. I'm a Manchester United supporter and there was never a moment where he appeared and suddenly looked different. There was a camera on him every day, be it paparazzi or training images. Footballers don't have time to go and get work done without anyone noticing.

Definitely. You can’t compare the face of a slim teen and that of a muscular Adult. Ronaldo normally gain more muscles or weight to perfect his game in 2007. And we can also see his shoulders and neck became thicker from the younger picture.
Some of these photos look photoshopped. He doesn’t look like that in live video. He just looks fit and tanned with a short hair cut.
Nah his actual ramus is longer now and you can literally see the outline of his cheek implants in some pictures, Braces can do a lot but absolutely nothing can physically make you ramus longer besides surgery. You should educate yourself on what these surgeries look like on the face and the subtle signs of these surgeries. It might be difficult for a regular person like you to tell, but plastic surgeons literally do these surgeries all the time and they know how it presents itself on the face. If you look at before and after pictures you will see that his ramus or jaw angle is lower on the face, it’s longer, which can only be achieved with implants. Especially because he was a full grown adult when these changes occurred when his bone structure was already fully developed. Also of course he could appear natural to most people, that’s the entire point of surgery. Jaw and cheek implants aren’t like lip fillers which are immediately noticeable to even the average person. Implants are literally created to look like a naturally strong bone structure.

One thing to note: Ronaldo was crazy famous ever since he was in his teens. Him going to Real Madrid was just cherry on the top, not much more.
As much as a lot of the changes may be attributed to him 'growing into his face', I think he's definitely had some work but it all seems subtle and appropriate. Let's hope he doesn't go overboard in the years to come. Also, his skin is beautiful! so whatever he's doing is obviously working

I can't remember who but I remember a retired female tennis player stating that her son used to make fun of her turkey neck (which is why she went under the knife) which she developed from years of competing professionally in the sun without sunscreen.

I've been watching him playing since he was 17 and actually not much has changed besides going through puberty.
1- He had his teeth fixed with braces (2 years) that helped with his bite and jaw development. Then probably a set of 6 venners to even his smile and whitening.
2 - He has his nose injured playing few times so it's possible that while having to fix it (breathing issues) the surgeon took the opportunity to fix the tip a little bit.
3 - He might have fillers/botox once in while but nothing invasive.
Cristiano Ronaldo spends all his life playing football and training. He's always on the public's eyes and wouldnt risk going under the knife for vanity.
He's not a celebrity, he actually needs his body in perfect health to keep his job.
He doesn't take breaks between "movies", albums and tv shows as the rest of the others folks.
All I ever learn when I watch your videos is that I'm not ugly, just poor.

As a visual artist, Ι have to admit I've been watching more and more of your content, and listening to it when I am drawing or sketching something, but most of the time I am more drawn to your face than to those being analysed! I have ...analysed the issue carefully, and I think it is a combined effect of facial symmetry, luminosity, clearness of skin, and calmness of voice. And brains.
PS. I do not find Ronaldo, more than marginally cute in a boyish kinda way. Especially the over plucked eyebrows are not doing him or any men any favours.

the thing is that during his career, he didn't take a break nor a major injury, the biggest one was 59 days, and I don't think after a face inplant the recovery is so short, plus he never wore a mask during his matches, which would be normal if he had a face surgery, at least in the beginning.

From a dentist perspective of view, he had more procedures. In his earliest picture you can see he has no upper second front tooth, with the braces they either made place for an implant or for the bridge. Also he had his whole smile redone at least 2 times.

The most noticeable change is definitely the veneers or crowns. And the smile is redesigned multiple times throughout the years. The cheek & chin changes are very subtle but tasteful.
He just got his teeths correected.

excellent surgery choices. he really upped his brand. I would 1000% get the same surgeries he got and start botox when he did. It has helped him look amazing in his 30s and probably will help him age much more gracefully than most guys.

my face shape completely changed from 16 to 25, used to have pointier chin and chubby cheeks, and now i have prominent cheeks bones and a more oval face. happened naturally and ive only lost about 10 lbs since then. maybe thats what happened with him?
That is very possible. It’s super annoying when ppl rudely and ignorantly assume (especially out loud) that we must have had “work done” just because of our defined cheek bones and other natural features. Ppl even mistakenly insist my super long hair is due to extensions which it isn’t at all and it gets really tiresome showing my roots actually have nothing attached to them. Must we walk round with up-to-date facial xrays/medical histories too for presentation just to shut ppl down… Some cases it is simply genetics and in some cases it is combined with an unusually high healthy standard of lifestyle, meticulous care, and so on.
Reminds me of the video where Tyra Banks got her chest publicly x-rayed to prove her breasts were all natural. She didn’t owe that to anyone but can see how it would help her get people off her back about it. 🙄😡

As for the pictures/images of Cristiano exhibited to denote the likelihood of mid and lower face procedures, these images simply look like they were captured from definite, different angles with different lighting.
I also have noticed when his weight slightly fluctuates.
He lost baby fat too. In general his test kicked in. But I won't deny his surgeries. I.think however fixing his smile would've sufficed.

As a man whose face has changed over the years naturally (especially jaw and cheeks), I don't think he's had any work done. I've experienced similar changes. All men's jaws get wider as they age, actually. All teenage boys have a way softer looks. I actually miss my soft teenager face, but hey.
I was a male Model. Bolivian American. And have been blessed with Natural good looks. Natural chiseled Jawline, Nice formed neck. High Checkbones, and full brows with honey colored eyes. Not blowing my own horn, but as many have mentioned to me through out my life an career ? I'm better looking than Ronaldo.

To me he looks like he has a brow lift too, in the most recent pictures his brows are way up from the corners than before even when he's not moving his face.
He used to over pluck his eyebrows quite a bit. I think it's more that than the lift.

Considering inflation, the cost would have been much lower more than 20 years back. As his prominence rose he has made these subtle changes to become more photogenic and attractive looking. He has also worked on multiple languages, especially English. The result is that he has the most endorsements over anyone else. At certain points he has been the richest athlete in the world and is always in the top 3/5. This impacts not just endorsement earnings, but consequently, club wages, since he sells shirts and merchandise for them.
Its human nature to be influenced by attractive looks. He is just capitalizing on it. To make money, you need to invest money. In his line of work, this is a valid investment.
seems to me that a lot of ppl are trying to make themselves feel better by assuming that ronaldo got plastic surgery done. he looks the same, and if he did get any surgery done it wasn’t for cosmetic purposes but rather because he has had injuries to his face while playing football. only thing that’s visibly changed is his teeth which is not really a big deal, people get braces and veneers everywhere. if ronaldo’s face was mainly plastic surgery then why don’t men who get plastic surgery look like him? 😂

Could be a combination of all these things, cosmetic enhancements plus his healthy routines,who knows. But seriously, people underestimate the power of a good diet suitable for your genes and body type. It can literally transform your body. And couple it with proper exercise too.
No diet or exercise will stop him from looking older. Wait till he is 50....exercise actually puts more tear and stress on the body. Your body wasn't meant to be exercised. Yes diets will make you healthier but it won't stop aging.

Complete speculation obviously, but considering he’s an athlete, I wonder if the jaw changes were due to long term use of exogenous hormones like growth hormone which have been documented to change the facial structures especially the jaw and is frequently abused by athletes for recovery and healing.

One thing, I sometimes have doubts, coz my brother was kinda oval in his early 20s but gradually his jawline became prominent and more like square. His cheeks muscles are more define. Appear more handsome than he was before. But yea CR7 teeth can be seen clearly and he can’t smile freely like before.

No, your jawline shape is mostly genetic, you can only make it more visible by lowering your bodyfat percentage. The only way to potentially change its shape (excluding surgery) is by injecting steroids like testosterone or growth hormone

Ronaldo is a good example of using it wisely and not overdoing it, people start looking weird and plastic when they overdo surgeries.
He never got surgery tho, just fixed his teeth and his skin, that’s it. He’s an athlete, and constantly running and making physical contact, Athlete’s can’t really get cosmetic surgery, if he did he would would have to been out for months to recover from his surgery’s and he never stopped playing.

1- Raised his forehead hairline.
2- Obviously his smile, the teeth might also push his lips forward or/and downward or vice versa depends on what is needed.
3- Forehead and around the eyes botox after 30 years old.
As for the rest, exercising especially body building and supplements with time will most probably change not only the body, but some facial features as well, mainly the jaw and neck. Age definitely.

Maybe not the biggest of mainstream celebrities, but I would be curious about an analysis on Ville Valo (former HIM lead singer). He had his teeth redone, however his face looks completely different and I was wondering if just that can affect the face structure as a whole - as there also seems to be a completely different jawline and overall face shape. He looks great now as he did back then, still I would be curious on your opinion as a doctor. Love your videos :)

He was and still is gorgeous! My friend is salesperson and has helped Ville many times. She says he is the most polite celebrity ever and she has met many... So he is beautiful inside too! I don't think he has done many surgeries because it's no so common in Finland (compared to USA) and he looks the same but naturally older.

Hi, could you tell us who would be a good candidate for veneers? And also maybe just for all cosmetic procedures? That would be a good video.
What I read about veneers is that they are great if your teeth are very, very bad. They last max 10 years and need extra much teeth care. So if your teeth are oké you are better off taking braces, bleaching and fixing them. If you do not have enough space in your mouth, you can always get rid of some molars. Just like plastic surgery, don't start too early.
Please dont get veneers. You'll regret it. Trust me.
Any dentist can tell you the answer to that it's a common procedure. Just make an appointment with your dentist and ask.
