I've never seen Marques in such "low quality" compared to his crazy high def videos. Super cool and nice dude. I've been a fan of his for so long and I'm happy to see how far he's come.
I came here directly after watching his latest iPad video. The audio quality was immediately noticeably worse.

Most importantly this guy is honest. Even in his retro tech videos, he had other people to explain on Gameboy and genesis who actually were in on the hype. He could have pretended to be a fanboy but he didn't. Honesty is always a subtle but indispensable aspect of sustainable popularity.

Marques is such a well-spoken, intelligent, and accessible speaker. You feel like you are in the room with him whenever he speaks and you want to listen to every single word. He has such a breadth of knowledge and is usually very, very fair. Love him!
I started watching him 9 years ago when I was 13 and was learning English. It was really easy to understand him and I appreciated that so much at the time. Till this day, he's my most favourite content creator!

Clubs are literally for third class drinkers and smoker addicts randomly hooking up with no morals .
@Every Man's Queen use to go clubbing in every city I went in to even outside the US, it's a waste of time over a while. You get drunk, and have a hangover the next day until in the evening makes the whole day a waste.

I love his persona. Always so calm cool collected and knowledgeable ❤
This video shows perfectly why he is so huge and just a likeable person. Honest, direct, precise and knowledgeable answers, no fuss, no drama. He is the opposite of the "hype" youtubers (like certain ones who find dead people in forests and think its funny) and that makes him so amazing and calming to watch.
In the past i didn't like his content as much (but didn't have any problem with him as a person), as it always had a certain "fanboy" vibe, but in the last few years he has really grown up in terms of journalistic values, healthy scepticism and general knowledge and i think that really propelled his content forward.
You really put my thoughts on his growth into context. I never was able to subscribe before but I’ve soo enjoyed his recent content I just had to
I instantly subscribed the first time I saw him. It's just something about his vibe, calm tone. Most of tech reviewers just do a lot of dramatic swoosh sound effect, etc. It's overwhelming if you want to watch a throughly long review, his way of presenting almost feel like a very fun lecture lol. And I like it. It's rare to see

Marques is one of the best things to happen to the Tech Tuber community.
What makes him very unique is that he does not opinionate too much about a product, rather he would give constructive feedback and information, unlike Sara or Linus, they are too much focused on what they think, not the product itself. And the interviews he takes are awesome too.
Marques is super talented and down to earth. Definitely one of the best content creators out there today and he deserves all the success he's had
I've always liked Marques. Seems like a very nice, down to Earth guy and he makes my favourite tech videos. He manages to strike the perfect balance with videos that are informative but also focused and to the point.

I remember when I first started watching years and years ago. My dad told me to check out this young kid who did tech reviews that he said he found really impressive especially for how young he is. Made my way over to his channel of about 40k or 50k subs at the time and I don’t think I’ve missed a video since. And somehow content just keeps getting better. Love this guy

I was watching cell phone reviews and ran across Marques by watching other you tubers and found him interesting and then humble and human. I was tickled at this with you throwing things anywhere as you finished the card etc because in watching your tour of the studio you are immaculate. There are a handful of social media influencers and CZcamsrs out there that I can listen to for more than 15 minutes and he is one of them. To me he is the true definition of black excellence. I know one of the questions was asked about him going to space and I actually believe he can do it. You know you're making an impact on the world when people listen to you that doesn't even care about tech for real. God bless you brother.

I guess I love mkbhd videos because they seem to be more logical and sensible, and professional. The storyline is very well established and very clear. Besides, the coloring is pretty good and how he speaks and talks feels confident and calm. Some CZcamsrs just got hyped every time there is something new, feels exhausting... Waiting for the undercover part of mkbhd, lol. Yeah, waiting for Linus's too, lol.

I find it interesting how quick the AI art took hold. In this video, he mentions Dall-e and how it can create photo realistic art when now it's hard to tell if it's real or fake a lot of the time. Amazing what almost a year makes.

This is such a better autocomplete interview than some poor actor on a slog of a press tour who just answers the questions with “oh just because it is”
Marques got me into tech like I never thought I'd be into it. I now have to watch all of CZcams in at least 720p because of the high production values in his videos.
Having a friendly rivalry can be a very good thing. It encourages us to always strive to do our best. It can also morph into mutual mentorship, and comradery. Not so much fun if the desire to win exceeds all other concerns. If egos are kept in check, it's a very good thing.
You don't realize how good the quality is on MKBHD until you see Marques in low quality.
