Really good video dude, I haven't seen much coverage of this laptop at all, but I'm glad I found this. Were you not able to upgrade specifically to the i7, or are you just not able to upgrade the processor at all with this laptop? Also, I'm pretty new to this stuff, so are you able to upgrade the graphics card at all?

Definitely make sure to start the videos asking for subs. I know it seems weird to ask before they've seen anything, but tbh whatever works at this point yo deserve it.
You could also start vids by thanking regular viewers. I hate saying that because I don't want to ask for thank you ever especially when I'm barely doing anything. But, I know when I hear something like that at the beginning of a video it does make me want to like and subscribe.

Don't worry about the warrantee seal. In the US, it's not legal for them to void the warrantee because you opened it up. The sticker is just a deterrent.

@@RAVisuals Many years ago I had an Asus laptop that the hinges broke on pretty early on. I ended up opening it up and putting epoxy all over to hold them in place. Quite a bit afterward they released an extended warranty due to the bad hinges. They ended up replacing my entire case because of the epoxy. LOL. They said they did not void the warrantee because my "fix" did not cause anything to fail out side of the original issue. They also replaced the motherboard due to a "faulty audio chip" even though it was fine also due to epoxy on the board. Hahaha.
It would have been informative to have run the benchmarks pre-upgrade.

For the 15.6 in creator laptop, what RAM does it have already installed? I know you put a corsair in it but it looked like that was not what was already in the machine and that is a big no-no for me, I don't mix RAM ever since I killed an old machine doing that way back in the day. Would love it if you could give me the specs on the pre-installed stick though.
It comes with 8gb of crucial ddr4, 3200mhz. I paired it with another identical stick. No Corsair ram was used.

I would definitely upgrade the ram and HDD like I did! It's a great laptop and has been serving me well so far! Not 100% about the warranty but it shouldn't be that much of a deal since they leave spots for you to upgrade everything

its actually very thin for a gaming laptop and it doesn't look super "gamer" style. Its all black so no one will really notice

@@kofisl It's holding up very well actually! Modern titles are actually playable especially with the added upgrades. The only issue I've experienced so far is that one USB 3.0 port no longer works. It could be worse, but for the price / value it could be worse. Still happy with it!

I just bought the Creator Series with the RTX 2060, and the fans are always on, even if its idle, temps low, and no apps are running. I've tried many fan controllers, but none of them seem to be able to detect/adjust fan speeds. How can I make the fans quieter?

I actually do not. I have never had my fans react like that. Even when I have mine on "gaming" mode, it doesn't make the fans spin when at idle

It will run those programs but premiere will run way better with a dedicated GPU. So the gaming laptop would be the better option for that
@12:40 Those stickers are not legally enforceable in the USA. It's probably just a carry over from the ODM (Tongfang in this case) for sales in other markets. Including that sticker for a USA market product is technically illegal and voiding your warranty simply for the removal of that sticker definitely is illegal. Not sure if the law is similar for Canadians, sorry.

It violates the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in the US, At least. As long as you don't do something to mess up anything with the parts covered under warranty (and the burden is on them to prove otherwise) they have to cover it. I'm sure they make it sound like anything minor or unrelated will void their warranty to get out of it. Makes you think about the QC on these things if they don't want just anyone, (inexperienced in upgrades) from messing around in there.

I recently bought a 1TB SSD and added it to my Gateway laptop. I ended up leaving the 256GB in the other slot as well.
I want my game and video downloads to go to the 1TB but earlier when I downloaded Steam it showed me my available space was 202GB so I'm assuming it is being redirected to the 256GB drive.
Can you post or link a tutorial on how to redirect to the free drive please?

It just has some integrated graphics so its more for school and work

I came here after just buying it for 699 to try and justify my impulse purchase and was not disappointed 😅
Walmart already delivered. I'm super pleased with it in person too. The screen is great, the performance is fantastic. Even with the gpu spooled up to max during a benchmark the temp only hit 70C and the fan noise was totally reasonable. Very happy with this purchase.

@@alanuribe2041 Still no issues with it so far, I would definitely recommend it. Really the only downside is the 8GB of RAM, but it has another slot in the back to put another stick of dual channel. I still haven't done that, since it voids the warranty.. just waiting a couple more months to make sure nothing weird happens.

Just reset everything by going to Setting > Update & Security > Recovery > Get Started.
