What you're not understanding is the Canucks ARE NOT the LA Kings. LA can barely even threaten the Oilers offensively. Vancouver very much can and has all season. Van's offensive numbers were deceivingly low from the Preds series as it was an all defense series and the Nucks were playing the Pred's game in that. Now that they are playing a less stingy defense, their offense is going to go up.

@@ericalewiis4566 I believe the shot block total in that series gets discounted more due to Edmonton having more blocked shots in 5 games than Nashville had in 6. Safe to say that both Edmonton and Vancouver are playing higher level teams than they played in the first round. Oilers fans are always harder on Skinner than they should be at times due to the expectation that the team is learning/growing to be a legit contender year over year, this just isnt our year is all.

Skinner let in some stinkers, but it wasn't Skinner that kept the team from getting a single shot for 3/4 of the third period.
They stopped playing. Was telling my buddy while we were watching, well before Vancouver got their 2nd goal, that they stopped playing, and they weren't gonna hold that lead.
Could Skinner have stolen the game for them? Sure. It's not his "fault", that they lost though. They played like Toronto after they made it 4-1.

Skinner made a bunch of good saves. Canucks had more than double the scoring chances in that game than the Oilers did. It wasnt a close game 5 on 5, the 4-1 lead was because the Oilers got some bad goals against the run of play. Skinner actually held the game for the Oilers for a long time. From a Canucks fan point of view it was Nurse and Ceci that were just getting absolutely walked out there. Our third line was dominating that pair all night long. Cole was similar for the Nucks but he ended up being benched, while Nurse and Ceci ended up playing 17 minutes.

Even Oettinger, who everyone raves about, had one bad game in the 1st round vs Vegas and then game 1 vs Colorado, let in 4 straight goals in a short amount of time. The single biggest problem is Nurse. The worst stats of ANY defence man , his contract is gross over pay and you cannot get rid of it. He’s on the ice for 3/4 goals against on average , the single reason this team is in serious trouble going forward

I don't get why Nurse is constantly shitting the bed for this Oilers team on a freakin $9.5 million avv 😆

Skinner let's in easy goals and you can't win the cup with him in goal, why in God's name wouldn't an organization get the best goalie to complement there star player's

oilers management is just plain DUMB. You have a team that clearly can win the cup BUT you choose to TAKE A CHANCE on a goalie in skinner who CLEARLY has shown he is sporadic and inconsistent .He can be very good for stretches he also can be very bad for stretches.Oiler management i guess was hoping he would be good for a stretch which would be the whole playoffs and thats a gamble they should not have taken and now its coming back to bite them.

Oilers are great offensively but are too soft defensively this won't see them make it to the final if they keep being sloppy on D.
