(a) A minor penalty shall be assessed for kneeing an opponent. (b) A major plus a game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who recklessly endangers an opponent as the result of kneeing. (c) A match penalty for reckless endangerment may also be assessed for kneeing." He was given Major penalty, because he deliberately extended his knee and made a reckless play. The difference to the Bennet hit is that Bennet never extended his knee. Therefore it wasnt a reckless play and only a minor was given

Starnell Nurse still looks like a novice rookie behind his blue line. 8 years as a pro making 9.25 million annually . Ceci is caught between a rock and a hard place. Desharnais doesn't know if he's comming or going . Skinner is on and off the fence . Oilers star forwards are predominantly playing attack one way . Oilers forwards haven't learned to forecheck enough or turn back defensively and choke up the middle. Kane, Hymen and McDavey are sluggish helping out their D . Panthers forecheck , play both ends of the rink, hit ,win the majority of the face-offs, giveaways and takeaways are managed better. Goalkeeper is better, and the goals scored so far have been great accurate shots. Oilers are being exposed so far as a one trick pony. There is too much reliance on McDavey. The team looks inexperienced on the ice.

If you have ever played Hockey and someone swoops your leg or hit his foot on your knee, you usually don't just get up from that like nothing happens. Look, the Oilers were down a forward and down a defenseman. You're asking Evan Bouchard to play over 30 minutes, and he's obviously not designed for that. Oiler Players are playing hard and really trying, but Florida has their number and have shut down their offense. Edmonton has not adjusted their offense, and double shifting their best players isn't going to save them. No taking anything away from EDM, but Florida is just the better team this year in goal and behind the bench.

It looked to me like Foegele saw the puck at his feet and in a split second changed his mind and made a choice to try and kick the puck but the Florida player was right there. It of course looked bad as the puck was right by everyone's legs. That is what I saw on the replay.

If they don't win game 3 on home ice on Thursday, they are going to get swept. You can't beat Bobrovsky down low. Leon Draisaitl escaped punishment from DoPS for that hit on Panthers captain Alexander Barkov.
