    Very useful, but where do you download the document you spoke of at the end?

      @Ricoshae  Před 4 lety

      Hi Jennifer, All the details for cron are here but you are right, a step by step would be helpful. docs.moodle.org/29/en/Cron Will see what I can do. What server platform are you using?

    good video but is not working for me I think that cron not runing becouse I see that:"Skipping processing of scheduled tasks. Concurrency limit reached.
    Skipping processing of adhoc tasks. Concurrency limit reached. Cron script completed correctly"

      Are you running Moodle on MySQL on localhost using the community edition? Concurrency limit reached usually means you do not have enough connections available to process all the tasks.

      Were you able to get the tasks to run?

    May I know why when I click save at the part where "Cron execution via command line only"should be unchecked, after saving, it will check the box for me again even though it says that the changes are saved. What is the problem?

    • @Ricoshae
      @Ricoshae  Před 3 lety

      I am really not sure why it would do that. Maybe clear the Moodle cache, log back in again and re-try.

  • @PanagiotisTheofilopoulos

    Thank you for this video! I followed exactly your steps but when I put on the URL bar the password, it appears the following error " !!! Sorry, your password is not valid to access this page!!! ". Why that?

    I keep getting a message that the password is wrong. I am copying and pasting the password from the password box in the cron password box in site security settings, where the "run cron from the command line" box is unchecked. Anyone got any hints?

    • @Ricoshae
      @Ricoshae  Před 3 lety

      A couple of things to check. Is cron already able to run. Check by going to Site administration>Server>Tasks>Schedule tasks. Check when the last Cron run was. Try typing in instead of copy and paste as sometimes special characters or spaces can be added to the start or end. Hope this helps.

    Hi! How can I do so that CRON is run automatically every minute ?

    • @Ricoshae
      @Ricoshae  Před 4 lety

      Hi UNI TAXI, If you go to Site administration > Server
      Tasks > Scheduled tasks then select the 'cog' icon beside the task you need to make into 1 minute cron runs. Then put in the symbol * beside minute/hour/day/month and day of week. Save this and it will run the task every minute of every day. Hope this helps. Chris

      @@Ricoshae Thank you very much for answer! But which task I must sellect?There are many cron tasks. Please help me the task. Thank you!

    • @Ricoshae
      @Ricoshae  Před 4 lety

      @@unitaxi1644 I had assumed you meant one specific task that you wanted to run. If CRON is not running at all then you need to setup crontab. docs.moodle.org/29/en/Cron if you are on ubuntu/debian linux. This will make the cron tasks run in moodle.
