The group stage of the football tournament is usually played at venues in a wider geographical area because there's just so many matches one stadium can hold before the pitch turns to shit. In 1984 two groups played in Boston, Annapolis and the others in Stanford and Pasadena. The knockout stage was at Stanford and Pasadena and the Semis and Final in Pasadena.

Some universities and colleges have stadiums as well that could be used for soccer especially stadiums with tracks which would allow them to temporarily increase the size of the field to accommodate soccer. For example, East Los Angeles College has such a facility. It's Weingart Stadium and seats about 23,000.

Yeah. That might allow LA28 to then move up Indoor Volleyball from Anaheim to Inglewood; so closer to the UCLA-OV for the Volleyball athletes.
