that is a nice LOOK
Jimmi clearly has great taste in bikes and knows how to blend art and function. These bike builds are so soothing to watch, I love how all the cussing and blood is edited out.
Love that color!
18 lbs is very heavy for a new bike with no pedals. Beautiful frame though!
What a beauty. And the paint. SIGH. These videos are my go-to meditations. 🧘♂️ Enjoy it Jimmi.
Beautiful bike. Surprisingly heavy though. 🤔
I usually don't watch these vids in their entirety as I get bored, but this one was truly captivating. What a bike and what a great edit! Thanks for sharing, your editing skills are top notch Jimmi!
That pink is fire!! My dream frameset.
Liking the music choice and loving the bike. 👍
Cable and brake line routing can be so relaxing when somebody else does it.
What a gorgeous frame. Absolutely beautiful.
Just got this exact frame 2 days ago. Love it. Quality content.
Pretty in pink Jimmi 👍
That Time looks very neat. But your black'n'white stencil frame takes the cherry off the cake!
Yep - That's why i got hold of the TIME. The hand illustrated one is getting cleaned up and will be displayed on my wall.
@@JimmidNicholls What frame is the illustrated one, if I may ask?
These videos are dangerous. I hadn't bought a bike in 25 years, but after watching the Time ADHX build went out and got one based almost solely on the beauty!
Me too
another great ASMR video🙂
Nice bike/paint job, but 8.5 kg? Is this an aero bile?
I have ordered the Time ADH and weight is my biggest concern. Doing a test ride before ordering, I found once the bike is up to speed the weight concern went away. I think what may be perceived as extra “weight” is all in the right places. The bikes corners extremely well and seemed to climb and descend with ease on the couple of hills I road over. As I ride it more, I’ll know for sure and “time will tell”.
Oh very pretty... will look forward to seeing that out on the road... now for some climbs...
Time is timeless :) beautiful bike
What a stunner Jimmi! Congrats.
That is one gorgeous bike… perfect spec in my view 🎉
Beautiful bike Jimmi, stunning video as ever.
Looks great 🎉
that is one gorgeous frameset!!!!
this bike is such a beauty :)
the frame looks just amazing
That’s one awesome looking bike!
Sweet bike colour ❤ Oh my that is a thing of beauty and such an amazing build 🙌
Beautiful video as usual jimmi, Stunning build and bike 🙌
Really beautiful. Congratulations 🎉
That’s a lovely frame Jimmi
Class ride!
Lovely looking bike!
Interesting colour, looks great and you can’t go wrong with a time bike. Hope you have fun 👍😊
beautiful build
The paint job is perfect. Reminds me of old pink specialized Crux's
Jimmi that is a thing of beauty 👌🤤🤤🤤 need a bike check video for sure
You should have a 'stock up on tissues' warning before you post a Time build.
Great video. I’m the proud owner of an Alpe d’Huez 01, these frames are modern classics. Couldn’t be happier and that new ‘23 is a beauty as well. Enjoy the rides!
But his is a 21 and not a 01, and weighs some 8kg if not more with that Rival and those motorbike tyres 🤣
As I'm browsing Time's website and deciding on which color to pick you post this. Perfect timing! :D
I think I'll go with the pink!
It's v cool, man.
@@JimmidNicholls any thoughts on wheels in the 1.5k range btw?
@@jernej1990 what currency? I ride Parcours and also Zipp 303s. Both great.
@@JimmidNicholls ah I was thinking eur so like 1300 gbp. It’s not a strict budget tho, more as a guideline.
303s look good, what about 303 firecrest? They seem to have gotten raving reviews.
It’s actually quite the pain to pick wheels. So many choices.
The new Corima Essentia looks cool and they nicely match Time frames. Ever done builds with the brand?
Life is too short for boring colours on your bikes; go vibrant!
Noooooo, that beautiful custom frame 😥 Yaaay, a beautiful TIME Alpe D'Huez🥳
What a beauty mate 🫶
goddamn what a sick build. Time is a dream bike
Very nice quality bike ;)
that carbon frame is dreamy
Time... Killing us all softly 🥹 if there is ever a dream build for me its always going to be Time.
Got to be honest. That is a beautiful looking bike.. really caught my eye 👍
Honesty is always the best policy.
Hey Jimmi, Loving the work you and Francis are doing. I have been pondering the time for sometime now. Would love to get your impressions over the frame.
This had me itch all the way through. Zipp (& Sram) on a Time frame... felt kinda Lada parts on an Aston Martin.
Don't think I've seen better apart from other Times and custom builds like Passoni or Serotta. That colour is stunning
This is my next bike!
That bike is stunning. Hope the old frame will go up on a wall somewhere with all the memories it has scribbled on it. I was looking at going to Gajary while we were over in Slovakia a couple of weeks ago to see the build process for those bikes, the carbon weaving fascinates me. Unfortunately my daughter fell ill when we were away and that left no free time for a trip up to the factory.
exactly that. it's going on the wall. it's art.
Glossed over what I was most interested in: A crank spin test.
Yes please 🙋🏻♂️
Maybe you’ve got the replacement for your Factor Chris right here. Still it would be a shame to wrap that frame.
Sweet, that was nice of Time enjoy charging about on that pink missile, be interested to hear your thoughts on how it rides compared to some of the other bikes you've ridden recently.
I have a TIMR Fluidity. It's a good bike, but I WANT THIS BIKE :)
Once again Jimmi...sent to a place of serenity watching this. Now I need SRAM groupset fir my Roubaix...😂
well, you don't need it. :p
@jimmi media ...no my 105 is really enough, but a man can dream
i get the feeling that Jimmi could do a video of my crappy bike and it would look amazing
Absolutely. :)
I am just wait for my 2023 Time frameset from Switzerland ; ) I see that 2023 frame is also mechanical shift ready, in contrary to what TIme claims on it's frame specs. bottom bracket shell has prepared openings and screw for cable guides.
Boy Time really likes their own branding. They should probably put it on the frame a few more times just so that everybody knows for certain.
Can’t ever forget what Time it is.
If I want to use GRX 46/30 chainrings, is the front derailleur hanger low enough? Same for ADHX frames? Thanks
I'm picking up my new bike today!! A Time ALPE D'HUEZ 21 frame with Chorus and Bora WTO45 wheels. Can't wait!!! What's that spray you're using, is a polish of sorts?
Have the Rival AXS group on two bikes, works great but crap flexy and heavy crankset, an immediate upgrade and then everything is fine.
I haven’t found that at all.
Great video, what are those T shaped tools Nick is always using, they look great.
A wierd questiony maybe. I recently started road biking and I am looking to upgrade to carbon wheels, the zipp 303s are looking like a solid option, affordable and from Zipp. But that hokless design is still qeustionable. My question actually is, can I ride the zipp 303s with inner tube? just in case. or better tubless. I have 0 experience with tubless whatsowever. Thank you!
Awesome new build Jimmi. Interested to see you not running tubeless though. I know it’s a common debate but after being able to quickly plug a hole I got yesterday while out riding I can’t imagine going back to tubes. Would love to hear your reasons for the choice.
I don't ride road all that often so CBA with the maintenance. And the smaller the tyre width the crapper tubeless is. I do run my 650B x 2.1" gravel bike tubeless.
I've heard people saying the opposite so I guess it depends on your wheel-tyre combo.
I can't imagine dealing with a tyre that won't set or just having the whole tyre blow off the rim mid-ride.
Tubeless makes little sense at high pressures. Low pressures make little sense on high speed descents. Tubeless is fine if all you ride is straight flat boring roads. But anything spicy needs high pressures and proper tubes.
I agree! Tubeless requires vigilance to keep up with the sealant. I have a gravel bike snd a mountain bike that are tubeless and I have to check to make sure the sealant hasn’t dried up. If you do, and the tyre bead loses its seal and goes flat, it is a massive pfaff to clean the solidified latex from the tyre to refit it.
They work well with wide, high volume tyres with low pressure. Not worth the trouble for a road bike IMO.
what grease are you using for the bottom bracket?
A very nice build and just in time when I started thinking about buying the same!
Could you please answer for a couple of questions? What’s your frame size? What was lead time for the frame? Thanks in advance
Small. Not sure. Ask your local dealer?
Didn’t Nik tell you not to put Speedplay pedals on a bike? Lovely build.
I love this bike in fact i just ordered mine new 2023 gloss carbon
but the weight is way too heavy for a climbing bike
Hi Jimmy, sick bike! Have you had any issues with the bearings in the Zipp 303s?
Think Mapdec talk about those.
@@markrushton1516 Thanks, got in touch with him. Just wondering if more people had the same issue.
You're gonna sell the old frame? Time is delicious but oh that paintjob ❤
It's going on the wall. Too good to be riding around. It's literally art.
That's a chonker of a build up. Gorgeous frame though!!!
Nah. Class.
@@JimmidNicholls heavyweight class indeed
@@guidonvanonder frame itself is ok, it's the tubes and the heavy rival groupset, if you put sth lighter on it , it'll easily go down to 7 kg
That’s a beautiful frameset. What’s the weight on that?
Nice rig. Busy background noise. Didn't realise Jimmi was releasing media outside jv Cade Media
Now you know.
Can you transfer the paint job over to the new frame as well?
Is this size Small? I can't decide over buying Small or XS. What's your saddle height please?
If Nick owns the coffee shop too. I'm a big fan of his business model. Did the used to be in the Ouseburn?
Yep
8.5 kg... carbon or lead??
11:32
I like the fact that you "forced" Nic to install a front derailleur on the new bike, just to _F_ w/ him -- kind of an expensive joke, but still funny
Zipp 303s with tubes - is that okay to run on a permanent basis?
I thought it was for emergencies only
I’ve only run them tubed.
Its look light n cool
but the weight around 8.5kg... :(
When we getting a review Jimmi?
Nice bike jimmi ! To be honest was going to take the p#ss out the colour !!!! But no !!!! I like it !!! 😂 ( a lot ) 👍
How much would a bike like that cost?
About 4-5k
How much would this set you back. Or is it a if you have to ask you probably can't afford kinda situations
frameset about £3000, group about £1200, wheels about £1000, £500 for the other bits.
@@JimmidNicholls i think i need to start saving
If you think that bike is really something you should see my custom titanium bike from Carl Strong. Words can't describe the build and the ride.
Can Francis do a guitar backing track for one of these videos please?
He could. Would make the videos terrible though. Hahahha.
You could always accompany him on the drums (quietly) Jimmi,
Size?
You will not want to return the bike, Jimmi.
Hopefully they'll forget I have it.
all that water is wrong.
That Rival on that beautiful lightweight frame makes me want to throw up
Why?
@@JimmidNicholls Heavy! Frame is already so expensive/lightweight why not upgrade to a nicer groupset. Still a beautiful build and I'm sure you'll have a blast!
@@Himeexcelanta heavy? 😂😂😂 as if. It’s the weight of one shit over Red.
8.46kg😂 in size small
Beauty, but a bit heafty for a climbing bike.
Nah
It is clearly a step backwards......a bike of more than €5000 and more than 8 kilos is a scam😢
Have you considered that perhaps the idea that low weight in bikes is a scam?
@@JimmidNichollsThis is the power of marketing
Drop bars are bad for you.
Super annoying hub sound
Fairly heavy for a climbing bike... and those butyle tubes look so outdated...
Why are people so obsessed with weight? Because marketing told them they should be.
@@JimmidNicholls because It’s the bikes fault they suck at climbing.
This bike is 2kg heavier than it should be. Extend the analogy to 10kg heavier. Would that still be covered as just marketing?
Sorry to bang the table on this but at 10kg I think people would say. Yep this bike don't climb too well
Your call this a climbing bike? Look at the weight of it
Why are people so obsessed with weight? Because marketing told them they should be.
@@JimmidNicholls Try climbing with a 1 liter bottle of water and without it, you will see the difference. Manufacterers actually don't market weight anymore since the never bikes are getting a bit heavier with more frame material to get more aero.
@@borasumer I couldn’t disagree more. Today I rode 6.8kg and 10.5KG bikes. Both road. Was the weight between them noticeable? Absolutely not.
@@JimmidNicholls why even bother to weigh in the first place
@@jackliang6061 usually don’t for the vids. I actually just wanted to know the difference between alloy and carbon. Happened to record the shot and put it in the edit.
