Do you like the Legion Go or do you prefer another handheld? #handheld
Nailed it again. Went out to get myself a Legion Go after debating so long on the steam deck oled.
Love my Legion Go. I can't ever see myself going back to the steam deck
It's hard, eh? Its just too good!
Nice video! concise and straight to the point. The versatility for me is a big factor. The removable controller edges for me over the steam deck and others, doubling as a windows tablet for my little messenger bag. For my white collar profession, using "a portable PC" with attached controllers in an open office space is a little out of place đ
Thank you. Just a quick visual demo on my thoughts about it. We are in a time where we are fortunately bombarded with options and we can just pick and choose (depending on budget of course) and I like the Legion Go a lot! Maybe too much đ€
Bought one in December and Sold my steam deck after a few weeks. This device is perfect for me.
Glad to hear!
Bought one about 3 weeks ago and Iâm about to sell my steam deck also đ
you've nailed it, this is the reason why I chose the Legion go, against ROG ally or the Steam deck, it's versatility. Even though I have a perfectly good laptop at home, I chose to bring my Legion go instead when I leave home, this my work and play device. It's more lighter and unassuming in public.
Thanks! And yup versatility. Everything's got its pros and cons, and for everyday travel to work, mall, coffee shop, This is amazing! If I am one who travels constantly and worried about a bit of ruggedness and durability, perhaps a steam deck is a preferably choice since it's not as large and as fragile feeling. Thanks for the view and feedback, Tengu!
I have an ally and a GO. At first I really thought I would stick with the Ally.... and I do love it... but at some point I realized I had been grabbing my GO every time I left without thinking about it. I still use my Ally sometimes... mainly for FPS games when I'm not going to be near a desk because of the newly upgraded Gyro controls. But if the GO ever gets better gyro controls, it'll probably be the only handheld I use
Thanks for your thoughts! The Ally looks so cool that I almost bought it; but having windows as an OS really made me double think if I can truly use the Ally everyday because it was compact. Now Iâm on the other side of the fence wondering if the Ally is worth checking out just for the experienceâŠ
Interesting how the Legion Space looks very similar to the UI on the Steam Deck. I like the fact that you can remove the controllers to lower the overall size and make it function like a tablet.
Yup. Steam got it right the first time and simplicity is key. But overall, Lenovoâs got something here that I hope will continue to be worked on for future.
Legion Space as a whole is pretty...not great (yet?). The performance portion is fine but the Legion Space Library and Store are a mess. But Lenovo is listening to feedback and constantly updating.
Try playing Star Wars Rogue Squadrons with the Legion Go's detached controllers!! you can dock it and play on a larger screen an simulate like you're in a spaceship!
HOLD THE PHONE! Immersive with the Legion Go! Love it! đ

The plost twist got me so hard, i laughed for around 5 minute's straight. đ
But seriously, I'm thinking on getting either a SD OLED or a LGO. But I'll probably stay with the Go. I travel often and i mostly stay inside the hotels on my free time. Plus, both airports and planes alike have ports for chargers nowadays. So the lack of battery life is not a problem for the extra power the device have, since i mostly play AAA games.
LMAO! It's my honest opinionđ but to be honest; id be a bit cautious carrying the Legion Go too much as I feel its too fragile unlike the Steam Deck which feels a bit more robust; hard to explain unless you hold both. Glad you saw the humorous side; thanks for the comment! Cheers!
â@@paoloceedoes it come with a case at least? I can imagine it being a bit more fragile, with the bigger screen and all. But it's a handheld at the end of the day. Should be resistant to travels at least...
@filipecoimbra222 comes with a case but I think anything thatâs physically big with a large glass screen will feel fragile. Iâm so worried about getting a scratch on my large screen haha
Iâm torn on selling my ps4 and steamdeck then buying a LeGo. Should I pull the plug?
Yes
Hmm yes. But only if u understand pc.
Ps4 is easy to use. Legion go takes time. In my opinion. Get a series s and a legion go trust me
Yes. Trust me, do it today. It's the best handheld
Some pros with pulling the plug for the Go is that you can have the PS1,2,3 set up and eventually PS4 should have its own emulator. Until then, you can enjoy all the other services like steam, epic, Xbox etc etc for prices much cheaper than the PSN store.
You can also browse the web and do other stuff a ps4 canâtâŠâŠin a portable factor đ
I would love to have one but I'm pretty deep in the Asus ecosystem with the Ally and an Armory Crate-managed keyboard and mouse.
I've played with them all and I get it. Something about having all your gadgets blended nicely together into one ecosystem. You do You, my friend! You know what you want ;)
I see the LG as a great multipurpose portable device. Nice mini PC and can game on the go if want. I agree though that for on the go portability and battery life, the OLED Deck wins.
Thanks for the view! Itâs a great mini pc that I didnât expect to use as a PC đ Even now, Iâm replying back to you using the Legion Go and its large on screen keyboard! So good!
Of course Deck wins its Linux with gaming and portability. True Pc people waiting a lifetime for this.

I tried using fps mode. I think i need to tweak settings. It felt terrible lol
Haha I hear you. At first it was weird. My feeling was I was pressing the back buttons with my palm so I felt like I was clicking all over the place. How was your sitting position? Your hand is supposed to mimic a âhandshakeâ kind of position when using the grip mouse.
But I used Quake III as an example to show it is doable with a fast pace environments with a bit of practice but nothing beats a good old mouse. đ
I am a shooter player. Can the trackpad be usable for aiming?
Actually you can! You can even use the left and right triggers as your right and left mouse clicks. Valve SteamDeck marketed this feature when they first released their console when showing off their trackpads. Hope this helps!
You might be able to but it would be awful. Itâs just fine for moving the cursor around the desktop but itâs no where near the steam decks track pads
Your "Steam Deck Better" logic sounds like it was written by some who doesn't understand tech which you clearly do so I don't understand your logic.
- Valve Steam tweaked for best Steam Experience. Sure? Except Steam is Steam and whether you use Desktop or Big picture, it behaves the same on all handhelds and devices . Only thing special for Steam Deck is Steam will say if a game is in a playable state.
- You talk about games available and the store like that's exclusive to Steam Deck. All the other handhelds have that the same access, prices and more. And AREN'T limited to Steam Store without a bunch of hoops.
- 12 Hours...*insert lyrics* "Dream On, Dream On"...
- Upgradable Storage. Mmhmm along with all other handhelds out.
- Replacement Parts. Lenovo offers nearly every part in their store. Some things are back ordered until they restock but otherwise everything you'd need. I'm sure Ifixit will/does have parts too.
- OLED. Preference. Numerous people have shown how fast burn in happens. Yes Oleds look nice but YMMV on durability for gaming.
+ Standby was the only reasonable point you made. Standby is shotty with Windows.
Valid opinions! Thanks for the view đ
I think the big win for the Steam Deck is the pre-compiled shaders and per game profile tweaking. Thatâs what I miss the most. I constantly have to switch resolution and refresh rate depending on the game on LeGo not to mention only having a few framerate cap options that sync up with those refresh rates. Oh, and possibly starting Lossless scaling or Magpie, not to mention changing power profile if Iâm not plugged in and have to conserve battery. It adds up and it can become a hassle remembering if youâre jumping between a lot of games. Letâs not forget the Steam Deck can just suspend in the middle of a game either. Thatâs huge. Thereâs a lot more to the Steam Deck than just Big Picture. Unfortunately I need Windows for some of the games I play and I need that big screen because of my eyes and playing text/UI heavy games, so I will have to put up with that extra work on the LeGo. Windows is quite OK on a 8.8" handheld with touch and trackpad, but SteamOS is definitely the better experience on a handheld.
@christiannielsen8733 you got it! That ability to suspend mid game is huge for me too! But the Lenovo Goâs screen is just too good to pass!
@@christiannielsen8733 it does require more tinkering but at the same time you are more in control. Think of the Lego and Ally as Android and Steam Deck as an iPhone. Steam Deck (mostly) just works (or doesn't) but you have no control. The aforementioned two, requires tweaking buy you can have it do exactly what you want.
Power Profile is annoying but it's also not 100% implemented yet. Not an excuse, it should be there now but I'm sure power state will eventually allow automatic power profile config. If not it can be done with a small PS Script or even more basic have something monitor event viewer and toggle it for you. Sloppy workarounds but work.
Resolution, can't say I've had an issue. Set it and forget it. Let the game do the resolution switching. Now FOR THIS, I cannot speak if the Deck can do it but it is annoying when you go to 'docked' mode since the Go is a 16:10 and TVs are 16:9. Best I've come up with is Magpie with custom launch arguments. It would be nice if AMD (and Nvidia) would partner with studios on how to read the config files so that in Adrenaline or GFE you can select ones handheld or docked settings profile and have the load seamlessly.
So all in all, Steam Deck is a "better experience" for those that just want to play. For those that don't mind/know how to tinker, you can do so much more.
@SyCoREAPER nice!đ
It is pricy.
Kinda is. But what you can do with it is worth it! đ„ł
ebay refurbished. Thats what I did and no regrets.
@34525314 smart move
If that's pricey*, you're broke.
This is an old device. Have had it since it was released. The OneXplayer 2 Pro 8840u with 32GB RAM should be what we are reviewing. Haha
For the average user: Oneplayer $1,049 < Legion Go $629 if they want to go high end. Otherwise, steam deck is the way to go.
Doesnât matter when it was released; just enjoy! Haha.đ„ł
Despite the RAM difference, almost all reviewers prefer the Ally, Go or Deck over the One.
@@SyCoREAPER agreed. the One is appealing coz it kinda looks different. Just a bit pricey for what I can get with vs the three you mentioned.
@@SyCoREAPERThis is inaccurate. There has been not been a comparison video or review yet. There are multiple onexplayers and im specifically referring to the 8840U 32GB RAM that just dropped.
I suspect the market for $1K+ handhelds is rather limited, so donât expect CZcams content creators to get one and crank out a review just because you want a comparison. How about you get one yourself and be the one to make that review? Haha
Legion go is one of the dumbest handhelds. Its a pc with a mouse like joycon. Literally what is the point? Just get a pc then. Get a handheld for the handheld experience.
It is handheld also đ€Šââ
@@iitian_hu_bc exactly, it defeats its own purpose lol
if you have fps mode activated on the joystick & you move it around while not in that puck thingie, what does it do?
Left joysticks doesnât do anything other than mimic the direction buttons on your keyboard which you can use to scroll through pages but I donât recommend it as itâs too slow. Swiping is probably better overall. Thanks for the view!
