Hi Dan, i see that you worked on a few 2.5 duratec engines maybe you can give me some guidance on my project. I swap a mazda miata 2.0 engine on my suzuki samurai using fueltech ecu and ended up breaking the engine trying to set up the crank trigger and cam. So now i adquire a ford fusion 2.5 engine that has the 36-1 trigger wheel. Can you point me in the right direction with the crank and cam reference you used if you were using aftermarket ecu?
@@DanstengineeringCoUk because I used fueltech on the swap, I ended eliminating the vvt on the 2.5 engine. Next plan is to add itbs. Any input on this would be appreciated.
No unfortunately no one really has anything for that motor, I've got the same motor in my 2009 Mazda 3 and the only way to make power on it is to get a duratech/Mazda L series to swap in and bin the Z6.

Dan what is the best way to eliminate the vvt in the 2.5 head with out swapping to a non vvt head? Or is it just better using a non vvt head!
a non-vvt head would be the easiest route - but why would you want to (unless building an all out screamer race engine)?
