1:40) Ignore Backface Wont cut through the model\\ 3:00) Z - will delete last made cut Shift Z = Redo 3:30) Press Enter to make the Cut But making a cut doent separate it from the model, all it does it add edges into the already existing geometry 3:50) Otherways to make cuts 5:55) Deleting faces that are cut off with “Delete Faces” enabled 6:13) Extract Faces = Whatever is cut, is now separate from orig mesh and also moved away a bit 6:50) BUT it is still one object in “Object Mode” 7:20) How to make cuts by snapping to 90 degree angles
thx for showing the tool settings. I was having a hard time bc multi-cut had delete faces checked and was deleting the wrong portion of model. thx again! :)
"today we cut a cube". Congratulations. Well done. May be its also the only primitive object where the autodesk QA has tested their tool. Now go along. Try to cut some more complex geometry. Try to cut long thin faces, like it's common in architectural visualization. Then this tool starts to DRIVE YOU CRAZY! It is not recognizing edges when you are only see a small section of the edge in your view. Then you need to zoom out or try dozens of different view angles till it checks, which edge/face whatever i want to connect. This tool is so far away from being production ready....so it fits quiet nice in the mess that Autodesk did to Maya. That being said, i'm a Maya User since V1.0 in '98...
I have a different problem that I cant solve. I have a plane with a hole on it created with a cylinder. Now when I smooth the hole gets messed up completely. Is there a way to cut a series of faces around the hole in order to keep the hole intact when I smooth? Obviously multi-cut and insert edge loops tool dont help at all.
For some reason my cut into going all around the cube when holding down ctrl to get a loop, ignore back facing is also turned off can someone tell me whats wrong?

You literally save my work thanks!!
Thank you very much. Thank you. This tutorial really helped me. I hope you are always successful
Very useful, thank you!
Thanks bro, you have my like!
Thanks for that! I'm a gama design student and 3D modeling is my weak point!
You are very welcome. Try to model something everyday. That has helped me. If you have any questions let me know and I can make a tutorial.
thanks!! my friend, it was pretty useful
You're welcome and thanks!

Nice tutorials
Awesome video! Very neat tips.

How do you get a perfect 50% cut?
then how do you delete the extracted face? since its one unit still?
Nice video, but how can we treat each slice as an object itself?
I selected the object then under modeling toolkit (right side of screen) under mesh--Separate and got two separate object.
@@maxwellpms1977 Thanks a lot man 👍
It keeps snapping to edges. How do I put vertex near edges not on them?
Please help me, a multi-сut transform geometry automatically altering and curving the faces. How can I fix this?
I don't understand that Autodesk why don't give an auto fill hole option for the cut tool..........
how do you get out of the toolkit?
theres no return key?
how do i fix this??
the return key is z isn't it ?
Good one, Subcribe right away!
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I will make more tutorials.
Only an Apple user adds more geometry before cutting a mesh xD
thx thats the most confusing tool
Всё моргает просто не возможно смотреть .....
