  • Scanning height using the Einscan SE is always a challenge. However, the technique described in this video to scan large objects is simple and easy to follow, especially for the studio setting. It offers another technique in the scanning process to achieve the goal of scanning large objects crucial to the business or hobby. All it takes is a slight and simple modification to a tripod to implement the process. See my other video: • EINSCAN SE

Hi Ziotech, Really liked your video. I am looking at buying an SE or SP and was wondering if i could scan items larger than the 20x20x20cm advised by Einscan ...and your video proves you can...at least on the height dimension. Is there a restriction on how many scan steps you do? could you do 10 for instance?. Does the automatic scan only work if the item is smaller than the scan plate bed? and is the 30cm distance needed for the auto scan or can this be calibrated to be larger? i have seen that the SE can do 700mm x 700mm scans but only if you do a fixed scan without the scanning table which seems a shame as the table surely increases the accuracy?

Perhaps an IKEA turntable could be useful to manually rotate the object/subject coupled with scanner dots? www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/snudda-lazy-susan-solid-wood-90074483/

I have done larger items utilizing a tripod, and no turn table. It is time consuming and with a lot of patience you can succeed. There is not, or wasn't a lot of info on CZcams regarding the scanner. Thanks for contacting me.

Hey that’s really innovative, thank you. I presume you were using ‘turntable align’ in the software? I will try this myself, you’re an inspiration.
