      Mike Nomad in this day an age if you choose a manual you choose it for driving enjoyment and feel rather than outright speed. I find it dumb that people tried to compare a GTR to this car. What GTR can you get for $50k where the transmission isn’t about to explode?

Since you're in Texas you should come to the Terlingua event we do every year the second week of October or the OctaneFest event the first week of October. I agree with you that the performance talk is meaningless unless you literally race people every day, everywhere you go. I have a 2020 AMG C43 and it's not a "true" AMG becaue the engine block isn't hand built but there is more to a car than just how fast it can go. I didn't get the C63 even though it's got more power because I care about grip and AWD that the C43 offers. I love the car and its characteristics, exhaust sound, interior quality and design, etc. Drive what makes you happy. I wouldn't trade my C43 for something like an Evo that pumps out 900hp lol. We're not all 17 year old boys who only care about SPEED SPEED SPEED!

    Just got done watching your raptor video. Priceless that you want to keep it naturally aspirated. And I hope you own that truck for a long time and have a great time with it👍🏻. The reason why I say that is I just recently purchased a 2017 lightning blue GT-350 with white stripes👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅 and I don't think I will ever do anything to the car besides drive it and enjoy it. The only way I would change things up would be to find a wrecked GT-350and then maybe super charge it... I don't own a raptor but I do own a 2013 F150 super crew four-wheel-drive FX4, and I definitely know why you like the raptor... The Ford trucks are amazing!!! I've had my 2017 350 for just over three years and 17k miles. Like it, but it is a bit rough for a daily driver. It gets about 18.4 MPG without throttling it out all the time. A bear in rush hour beltway traffic to be honest. Everybody hot to get the "R" version but don't suggest it for city/urban driving. I'd be scared for the wheels also. It isn't super smooth and the interior sucks to be honest but still fun. When the going gets twisty these really come to life and where the real strength is. Wonderful car for the money. I think I would after some thought also consider the new Supra, don't shoot me. I think I will keep mine for another two or so years.

    I’m a hellcat dude and dodge fanatic. But I gotta hand it to Ford cause they did this car so right. This thing is amazing! Looks so fun and that’s what it’s all about.

    This thing is a good all over all item. For me, as a german, grown up with autobahn BMW, Merc and Porsche, it embodies the american style sports car. Drove the 350 on Nurburgring in 2018, bit heavy, but hell of fun going out of the corners. The 350 is a real sports car comming from the states, its even able to corner😊😊😊😊well done Ford. Regards from germany

      It really is America's sports car all around. Iconic face, sounds, etc. but a pleasure to drive all around, not just straight lines. Cool to hear you experienced one on Nurburgring!

    Need to have a few thousand track day miles on that ride. I've gone thru many sets DOT streetable slicks, a couple pads upgrades, and non-drilled rotors .... about 10K miles on a '17. no trips long trips

    When you are down shifting are you rev-matching? Is that sound coming from you pushing the gas pedal or by itself by downshifting?

    very nice. just need some tint. Would you prefer or have you ever driven a ZL1?

  • @ANMIV517
    @ANMIV517 Před 4 lety

    I have a 18 and I still wonder if it was the “right car”
    Every once in a while I think the ZL1 might have been better just for the raw torque But the thing is, I just don’t “like” it
    The GT350 is very well rounded and that’s probably why it’s still the “right” car.
    Some important things that aren’t normally compared car to car
    Great visibility
    Back seats decent
    Rear trunk is big
    Great seats
    And for the obvious things
    Relatively light and nimble
    Handles damn well
    Relatively fast
    Sounds amazing
    Looks very good
    I agree with most of what you said. This is a high revving flat plane crank with a fantastic manual transmission. It’s unique, even if it’s a mustang.

    I’ve been trying to decide what my next vehicle should be and something you said really hit home. Go for the one that won’t be available in the future. Naturally aspirated V8, manual transmission, and stupid grin....

    Are there any interior rattles and noises?
    I test drove a 2018 gt350 but the rattles from the dashboard and right passenger side of the car was super annoying, that car only had 4000miles on it.

    I’ll be honest I wasn’t crazy about the 5.2 liter Voodoo flat-plane crank engine at first, I’ve always loved the 5.0 liter coyote the most and the 4.6liter, but after hearing this Voodoo motor scream and growl I just can’t put into words how much I love that sound especially with the resonator delete👌🏾🤓😩🙏🏾, also love your spec, if I ever got one tbh I’m not sure which color I would get because all Ford colors look good on it especially, lighting blue, orange fury, Ruby and race red, Oxford white well you know 😂😅

    • @TexasRevving
      @TexasRevving  Před 5 lety +1

      Haha I hear you, there is no bad color on it! Grabber blue with white stripes is another! We can both keep going... lol But yeah the voodoo is just a different beast. It's just so odd having a FPC that revs to 8,250rpm in a Mustang! 5.2L and 8,250RPM?!? It's just something else.
