We're not sure where you guys get this stuff, but another awesome CGR viewer has sent a strange, inexpensive piece of strange, inexpensive hardware to our offices. This one is a strange hybrid between nostalgic SEGA hardware and cheap motion knockoff, offering 15 classic Genesis games as well as 18 crappy "arcade" games and 7 motion games. This video review features video gameplay footage of the SEGA Genesis Arcade Motion Dual and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

This machine can play Genesis roms from an SD card. You should definitely mention that feature.
I think mine was an atgames one, the only problem I have with it is the screen is small. It's a sharp screen for what it is.

I didn't know what a Zone 40 was. For a moment, I thought I had lived a meaningful life so far. Then I realized that I know what the Nokia N-Gage, Atari Jaguar, Sega 32x and Tiger Electronics Game.Com are, that made me sad.
This clone is actually pretty old now. It could use an update like the Arcade Classic and Arcade Ultimate got just a few months ago. The next version will probably have more/better SEGA games.

Actually the only things wrong with it that I found were the pitch of the Genesis games' sound, and once you get to the Aquatic Ruin Zone boss on Sonic 2, it just freezes the game....
I saw one of those twice. The first time i saw it was at Walgreens for 17.99 then it was on clearance for 7.99. The second time i saw it was at Sam's Club. It looked similar except it was black instead of blue. It was on sale for 30.99. it had to be better and different. Can someone explain the price differences?
funny... i've had that thing in my hands at various walgreens/cvs locations all set to buy at least a dozen times and then I always bailed at last second on it.
Mine's sitting on top of the T.V. next to my monitor. And I have mine loaded with Genesis ROMs. But unfortunately, the system won't run games with built-in chips like Virtua Racing. : (

You forgot that you can put Genesis ROMS on the SD Card and play them, so this system is pretty good if your trying to find a cheap Genesis.

You left out.the best part of the system and thats the sd slot so u can down load roms from the web and have any game u could ever want

If "motion" in this context is an action you perform with the controller wouldn't that make it a verb rather than a noun.

Sega just licenses them i have the portable one, it's pretty decent except the sound is a bit off

Actually, I guess this could not be chinese... The arcade games are made by TecToy, a brazilian company which was licensed to distribute SEGA games in Brazil! Not sure if they made this thing too, though...
And, BTW, in the PAL versioni the Mega Drive sound emulation is earbleeding terrible! XD
No idea, but you'll never need more than 2GB with roms anyway.
yours says it can play Genesis games from an SD card. my arcade motion has the SD card slot removed and covered with plastic for some reason.

The screen output is very washed out, Ristar should be more vibrant.

so atgames sells a straight up genesis it's like $40 and comes with 80 games (40 sega games 40 shit games) built in. You can also use actual cartridges and controllers... works great if you use actual controllers and not the IR remotes it comes with.

he didnt play the sonic games...they all run at like 20 frames and frozes when we were playing around with it lol

The newer Genesis models/knockoff consoles have a way better selection of games. Instead of Zone 40 games, you get The Sims 2 and Need for Speed
I think you're being a bit too harsh by calling this terrible when it has full fledged genesis games. I see it as something to get for a youngster where you wanna get em something nice but also inexpensive.
I had this thing for one day, brought it back because controller didn't work. Don't buy consoles at Walgreens

You can find these suckers in drug stores for twenty bucks a pop.
I love this pile of crap system. Got mine for $10 and it does have a few good games so it's worth checking out.
