A couple days ago, Conroy said Markstrom’s not going anywhere.
I just read an article suggesting, after the dust settles they have good young prospects, extra picks, and $20-million in cap space for next year

I think Management needs to understand that I don’t want to watch the Flames in the playoffs because they are one of the teams with the lowest chances of actually winning. I don’t want them to just win a round. They just traded 2 of their best defenders, they have an even smaller chance to win the Cup. They need to wake up. Moving Markstrom will set themselves up better for the future. Quit conning Calgary Flames fans into thinking they have a chance. It’s ridiculous. Trade and prepare for the future. Give Dustin Wolf a chance. Get more draft picks. Take a run at Iginla in 2024 and Iginla or McKenna in 2026. Then make it a goal to be in the playoffs. I want to see management create a Dynasty. Not a fluke Flames team that hopes for a 2004 type run. They were SO lucky that year.

Dregs sure sounds like he’s working for Jersey. He’s doing his best high pressure sales tactic that used car salesman uses by trying to scare conroy into making the trade or “risk getting 60%” later on. Give me a break. I can smell used car salesman tactics a mile away. The question is how much is jersey paying Dregs

If the devils want to make it “work”, they WILL have to pony up Mercer or Holtz plus 1st rounder and more. Dreiger looks like he’s working on Jersey’s side by saying “end of negotiations” if the Conroy asks for that. Don’t trust Dreiger, he’s either stupid or he is working for Jersey. He seems to be trying to push this trade HARD like he has a vested interest in it. Bottom line, jersey needs to give up significant assets because they are negotiating from a disadvantage. Saros is not being traded this year, Nashville shut that down. Jersey is about to miss the playoffs. Markstrom is the only goalie available and Jersey desperately needs him for the playoffs or Fitzgerald will lose his job. So yes Jersey will pay a heavy price. Mercer minimum comes Calgary’s way and if salary retention is needed, a 1st rounder or Holtz comes to Calgary too. It’s as simple as that. Jersey needs to pay up or miss the playoffs.

At this point yes, but it's still a possibility. If these guys can pull a buttload of wins out their ass they could steal a wildcard. Ain't betting on it though. Would like to see these guys win some games atleast while they adjust to the roster changes.

I’ll agree Oilers have Markstroms number. But if they trade him there better be a decent replacement goaltender. Wolf’s not ready yet. Is Valdar good enough for a starter. I’ll play him against Edmonton.
I agree that it is too big an ask for Wolf to take over.
The problem with Vladar is that no one knows his capabilities because he hasn't played enough games to be able to analyze anything.
It's too bad that the Flames didn't play him more but that's what happens when your #1 goalie takes control and wins you game after game.
