Sigh. I am so tired with explaining this. The ONLY reason Man City and Liverpool are favourites over Bayern and Real is because more money is put on them by the punters. The betting houses then have to shorten the odds of those teams to avoid larger “potential losses”.
Maybe English fans just enjoy gambling more than Spanish and German ones, or Liverpool fans are willing to bet with their heart instead of their head. If you want your team to be favourites next time, you and your friends will have to dig deep into your pockets and put your money where your mouth is (as the saying goes).

I think for liverpool, they have to play a bit more pragmatic, similar to the home games v napoli and man city, not too gungho with pressing but pressing at vital areas of the pitch (in midfield and in the defensive third)
It would mean the 1st leg at anfield likely ends 0-0 and the tie gets settled in madrid.
Real has gotten the better of Liverpool in recent times and Ancelotti have gotten the better of Klopp throughout.
