On the Foden point, I think he’s always been a key player for several years now, he was a key part of the team after Aguero left when city won the title with no striker and DeBruyne was out of of form in the year of Gundogol!!!! He has always been one of the main starters, many times at left wing, I think this year he too his game to another level, he’s more than key, he’s world class because he has to play central , he got 27 goals in 52 games, he’s a better player than debruyne in the position overall at this point, he’s showing the potential of the best players in the world , players that are decisive no matter what position you say they are or there height or weight , Foden has the touch to combine with the strikers instinct, he’s a goal getter, example de Bruyne has a smiliar skill set, plays in the half space with great touch and great striking ability, but de Bruyne makes runs to pass, to receive it to cross, not so much runs of a striker, Foden is a better dribbler but that has nothing to do with the qualities of goals scoring, Foden simply has the mind to score score, like mos Salah is a winger but makes better runs than most striker in the league because that’s where his creativity and instinct lies, de Bruyne has the eye for the pass, but now that he’s is 32-33 and his high motor is reflected in his injury toll, pep should build around Phil, because I think he is capable of being a balón dor talent, I think he can get 60 goals contributions in a season

The charge won't go away - when you can't even DESCRIBE what they are or WHEN they occurred. A team featuring $0 Foden, $0 GK, $14M CB...they are playing IRS with City's accounting from 2008-2011 before Pep even arrived. THIS team cost less that other teams and Won 4 of their 7 trophies on the final day. THAT is mentally winning, not buying the league. NONE of you had issues with Madrid buying the FIFA World Cup best XI. City have spent less than 3 teams in the EPL, but THOSE teams were allowed to spend more money than City but City are the bad guys. Ok....

First sensible comment I’m seeing. Cheers to you mate. These people are clowns. They should go check how much the other “Big 6” clubs have spent as compared to city over the past 10 years. How is it city’s fault that they invest wisely? We don’t buy on hype but on player profile that’s why all the players that come, except one or two, fit the system. That’s a recipe for success.

The only issue I would say with this line of thinking is it discounts the "knock on effect" that those pre-Pep years caused. City almost certainly cheated in the early years and cooked the books to build them up to the point where they are now. You are correct that they are probably clean at this point, and have been for years. I would guess they have been clean for all of Pep's tenure. Their net spend is right in line with what a club of their current stature should be.The issue is they shouldn't be at this level in the first place. Same sort of goes for Chelsea to an extent.
