"they do have elephants so that will be cool"
...
i regret to inform you
why regret
@@narowild402 D&D kinda forgot to bring the elephants into the show
@@narowild402 How fucking dumb are you? The show didn't have elephants, which would be cool, and so the information is regretted. Jesus Christ.
@Amanda Lydick That's what she said
dude
"A whole lot of weird layers of incest"
That might have been the original title for Game of Thrones xD
FreeDWooD I’d say it should be the words of house Targaryen instead of Fire and Blood
50% of modern weddings worldwide, are of at least 2nd cousins. GoT is just mirroring real life.
Targaryens are The worst families ever in game of thrones, full of incest, full of murdering, full of mad family members, full of some stupid conquest of aegon but rhaegar is the only targaryen that i like even jon snow
“For Qyburn its love at first sight.” Lmao almost died 😂😂😂

"Dario was just shooting blanks" 😂😂😂
KARMA tv HIMACHAL will he return in s8?
Maybe he'll turn up with the Golden Company, ready to fight against Danny. Some kind of bitter, twisted act of revenge, for leaving him at the " Bay of Dragons "
If Daario leads the Golden Company against Dany, that makes two treasons - once for blood and once for gold.
All over her chin and neck... My first girlfriend was a freak like Danarys. I thought all women would be like that. Nope, just spoiled...
Daario basically is guaranteed to be leading the Golden Company. They have to wrap up his storyline and what better way to get him to Westeros to wrap it up.
Due to the CGI costs of Danaerys' dragons, the show had to reuse VIserys' wig in season one for Rhaegar's character.
Yeah sure if 50% of budget is spent on coke
How many hundreds of millions they had again?
Rewatching old videos after the series has ended really shows a whole new layer of incompatency on the part of the writers
🤣
Alt Shift X: Dany's pregnancy might mean she lives, at least for nine more months.
Yeah, like that worked the last time someone was pregnant.
Too soon
The last time, the pregnant lady was not the main protagonist. But yes, I get your point
She'll be fine as long as they don't name their baby "Eddard." Robb's baby was in danger the minute they named it "Little Ned Stark."
rip talisa
They killed Eddard twice.
I just realized Littlefinger was probably somewhat responsible for every major death in Westeros south of the wall
Justin Mallon He one of those incompetent over achievers who destroys everything they touch.
"probably somewhat" is putting it very lightly. He directly caused the War of the Five Kings. It could be said that literally all of those death are his fault.
Which is why his death in this way is completely retarded.
Mark, Littlefinger himself says that knowledge is power. He did not account for going up against Bran, who basically knows EVERYTHING and Arya, a skilled assassin. It was totally a reasonable way for him to die.
Ryan Putranto yeah it just doesnt taste good to me. Im not into magic being the reason he goes out. Thats probably why i stopped watching the show. Too much magic, zombies, and dragons less political manuevering like it used to be.
"We'll hopefully see Ghost"

Why does everyone take it for granted that Euron will keep faith with Cersei?
1. He's got the gold and could hire the Gold Company for himself.
2. He loves power and Dany has more than Cersei (Drogon & Rhaegal).
3. His original plan was to hook up with Dany, not Cersei.
4. He said his dream was to marry the most beautiful woman in the world. According to Maggy the Frog, the younger Queen would be more beautiful that Cersei.
5. Cersei is smugly confident, but, as Tywin told us, she's not as smart as she thinks she is.
I agree 100 percent, Euron is not truly on anyone's side he's in it for himself and like you said he originally wanted Daenerys because she's the more powerful than Cersei and she's younger and prettier and Euron knows Cersei is in her 40s and wouldn't be very fertile to produce heirs (I believe she will miscarry). Also he only settled for Cersei because Yara and Theon got to Dany first. I remember when Cersei told the man from Golden Company that Euron is loyal to her and he replied saying "for now". So Cersei needs to watch her back.
The Golden Company: we're told , time and again, that they've 'never broken a contract.'
So, come a big series finale, that's obviously the time that they will. I reckon Melisandre will have got to them first and that they will turn on Cersei.
@@flankspeed I certainly hope so.
@@flankspeed I think they'll try jam in some of the blackfyre story line from the golden company. However the series being the series they may change it a little or a lot or even change it completely.
A sound theory but I guess you were wrong. I was hoping too that they'd make Euron at least a little interesting.
"Littlefingered" heh.
"Breaking a few Eggs" hah.

How weird... I was just watching your Oblivion series when i came to this video.

Caroline Hartanto so true I am supposed to be at work in 4 hours then I get a notification "alt shift x has uploaded a new video" I'm like well only 3 1/2 hours of sleep then. Fml
Ned Rick hahah, dropped everything to watch this too.. have a good night then, Eddard!
True
Ok, so I've watched a ton of these Alt Shift X videos about GoT, and the central thing that I've arrived at is that this guy has SICK. READING. COMPREHENSION.
No shit. I've read all the books and the things I see in these videos still sound like news to me!
I think it should be noted that Peter Baelish didn't talk his way out of Lysa's murder. Sansa had to back up his story with lies, otherwise he would have flown
That's one of the problems I had with Littlefinger's "trial". Sansa basically admitted that she lied to cover for Littlefinger, that she was helping him by choice.
Talk about karma. You help the guy that betrayed your parents and murdered your aunt. So he hooks you up with a sadistic bastard.
jevgenkova Sansa played the game of thrones and won (not the throne here) but she lies to survive. As soon as she’s safe she sentenced him as he deserved. Sansa has learned a lot from Cersei and she learns to watch out for little finger, but she waits for the opportune moment to have him killed. He has to believe he’s winning or he’s going to run.
@@NakulKrishna Well the trial (if one could really call it that) was just possible because of Bran, Sansa didn't really have proofs for her accusations (apart from Bran saying "I saw it" and not being questioned about it), for betraying Ned, LF could have come with a better defense (a lot of details were left aside during his trial), I would say she learnt more from the Hound (most of the time Cersei was just a bitch to her), with Arya and her super skills the moment didn't matter, she could have killed him even in the Vale. After Bran told him "chaos is a ladder", he should have ran
Daniel Higuita totally agree about the bran thing, but we’ve seen Sansa repeat time and again, only a fool would trust littlefinger, that itself shows you she’s using him. Bran is pretty much a god, no one can question him because he’ll bring up something they said or a thought they had or something, which would shut anyone up. Sansa quite early realised bealish is doing what he does best, cause rifts and chaos, Bran only pulled the last straw by telling Sansa and Arya he betrayed their dad, and there began the big deceptive act to make littlefinger feel like he’s winning.
It's so surreal to finally see Rhaegar and Lyanna's faces together on the family tree. Like damn.
16:57 Hi, I'm Rhaenys. This is my brother Aegon, and this is my other brother Aegon.
Nah that's a contrived explanation, like most of the excuses for dumb shit in the show this season. I'm gonna go with occam's razor, the simplest likelihood here being the one that fits with everything else we've seen from seasons 5-7: The writers are lazy and/or stupid
LMFAO You have to be of a certain age to get that joke. "My brother Darryl and my other brother Darryl."
I get THAT reference!
You're Aegon. He's Aegon. He's Aegon. I'm Aegon. Are there any other Aegons I should know about?
Grac Necronyms from deceased siblings are a real thing. Thinking that's unrealistic is ignorant.
The "argument" between Sansa and Arya when Sansa finds the faces i dont think Arya was threatening her sister. I think that was Arya's way of saying "if i wanted to be lady of winter fell i wouldn't have to get people on my side. i just have to take your face and become you." then when Arya gives Sansa the knife, thats her way of saying she doesn't want to be Lady of Winterfell, and that she trusts Sansa even if they dont see eye to eye. That was probably what put doubt in what little finger was telling her, leading her to go talk to Bran and ultimately realizing she needed to trust her sister. That's how i filled in the blank of that plot line anyway. :)
You, my friend, has made more sense in a few seconds than 26 minutes of video
Gosh. Thank you.
+ Arya is disgusted by the idea of being a lady, and, as she said in the iconic conversation with Tywin (season 2?) 'Most girls are stupid.'
From the begging she refuses to wear dresses, act nice and just be a 'cute' little girl, so she wouldn't have a reason to change her mind, now more than ever..
That's the way the actors were blocked, but the way they shot that sequence and the events leading up to that implied something more sinister. I think it was just a rare case of bad direction for the series, or maybe D&D trying to manufacture some lazy drama.
In hindsight, Arya and Sansa had no reason to be fighting, let alone for something as frivolous as family baggage. Not after all they'd been through.
I Find it stupid on Littlefinger's behalf that the most obvious clue as to revealing his plot to bring the 2 against each other is when he deliberately hid the letter for Arya to find, asking the maester "Are you sure that's the last one?" (Knowing Arya is listening, to make her believe that Sansa wants it all kept secret). And when Sansa tries to search where Arya might've found the letter she asks Littlefinger "Where would she have got it from" Little finger replies "I don't know"
So that there, other than Bran telling them further information, is the ONLY indicator that led the girls to realise Little finger was plotting to turn them against each other all along. All Arya needed to tell Sansa was how she found that letter, then Sansa would immediately know that Littlefinger lied when he said "I don't know".
This would've been discussed off-scene i imagine, with a bit of acting going on to keep Littlefinger satisfied with his plot.
I thought Dany's late entrance, especially with her dragons, was a great power move to show everyone who's REALLY in charge. I also thought her "apology" was a sarcastic one, at best.
A queen is never late. Everyone else is simply early.
Cersei wound up getting what were probably the two best meta-level jokes/speaking the audience's POV of the series during the course of the last two seasons. Here in the season 7 finale when she says to Dany upon her (finally) arrival, "We've been waiting here for some time"
And then in the season 8 premiere when the Golden Company leader informs her there are no elephants to be had, "Well, that's disappointing" lol
You don't say
17:54 A strong hint/foreshadoing that it will be Jaehaerys in the books is that Jaehaerys I reigned after Maegor the Cruel, who was a psychotic and sadistic ruler who warred with the Faith Militant and burned down a sept. Sound familiar? Cersei the Cruel.
14:38 the number 20 on the guy Theon was kicking the shit out of made me laugh so hard
LOL ... I was like no no...its 19.
"Time travel fuckery" was my favorite quote from this episode.
In all fairness, Starks being a little slow to catch on to Littlefinger's game IS a recurring theme in the show. At least they caught in time finally.
Finally, a recap I can count on
He's the best.
I will always use the term "Littlefingered" when someone is being tricked or deceived. Thank You Alt-Shift-X!!!!

Couldn't agree more, it's painful to watch other youtubers for me because AltShiftX spoiled me
I agree 100%
Agreed, sooo many completely miss the point in their rush to be first. I love seeing the visual references to past episodes and character relationships. Rarely an Alt Shift X video I don't learn something I missed.
Alex Coman he kinda missed a few tho
Definitely top-notch! X's vids have depth and thread things together in a way most channels don't.
One point I still don't get about Cersei is why on earth she thinks the Golden Company will take the contract at all. Dany is now known by this point to be at the head of literally ALL the Dothraki, an elite but large strike force of Unsullied, and having multiple dragons as large and as powerful as Aegon the Conqueror had.
Dany left Slaver's Bay with a massive punctuation point on what happens if you try and fight her; her dragons and her massive army will destroy your forces, and she'll have the principal leaders executed if they happen to be particularly evil.
More to the point, Cersei's now spent a good deal of time around Bronn (at least, that's a reasonable assumption). That alone should be enough for her to know that swellswords won't fight a losing battle, let alone a losing war, no matter how much you promise to pay them. Because when you lose that losing battle or losing war, you can't exactly pay them, because you'll be dead. And if they fight with you, they'll die with you, or have to flee from the battle to save themselves and thus have their professional reputation suffer terribly, if not irreparably.
In other words, the mercenary contract Cersei is hinging all of her military hopes on is the crapshootest of crapshoots. "Fight the largest force of Dothraki the world's seen since the Doom of the Valyria and the great Khal Tehmo, who also have backup from thousands of Unsullied (who were so badass, three thousand of them were enough to break that same massive Dothraki horde that almost conquered most of Essos) and two dragons of the sort that let three people conquer about a quarter of the known world."
That's basically what Cersei is asking. There's not enough gold in the world to get a sellsword company to take a contract like that, because there's no sellsword company in the world dumb enough to think they'd be able to live through the fighting.
True, but the Iron Bank is putting in a good word for her, so that might convince the Golden Company to take the contract as the world bank is siding with her.
Cersei is between a rock and a hard place, but she does seem to have her best moments at these times... There was the Sept and she did (spoiler) survive this season, which I was not expecting. She has spent much of her time trying to do what she thinks Tywin would have done ... she has done well - so far. The Iron Bank is happy, because they have their money and the Lannisters have money and resources still ... (though maybe not a future with Cersei).
It would seem that Bronn is find to protect Jaime vs one dragon, but not more ... maybe the Night King will give Bronn an ice castle? -- j/k
The Golden Company could be the best bunch of sail swords on the planet (or in the two continents). They may well fight good enough vs Cersei's weakened forces .... or maybe good enough verses the Night King's (hopefully weakened) forces.
All loans are a gamble... often a calculated risk. I think she impressed the Bank with her moves early on and she more or less came out on top. With Dany going to fight the Night King, Cersie can consolidate and strengthen her forces. Maybe Euron gets the second of Danny's dragons! (or maybe not). Also, Qyburn is pretty crafty ... who knows what he will cook up.
The Iron Bank siding with Cersei doesn't even make a whole lot of sense in the first place.
ISchulz I see what you are saying and I agree with it. However I don't think their plan is to take Dany's forces head on and I don't think they plan to use them alone. If they do come over in force she will probably use them in combination with the Lannister army to secure parts of the country for example taking Casterly rock back while Dany's forces are up north. Meeting Dany's armies in the field of battle is a bad idea for them. Their plan is probably having 20k trained soldiers plus her own 30k soldiers defending a heavily fortified castle with heavy weapons (That harm dragons) from a battered army that just fought a war with the dead.
Then the strategy more or less shifts to a less bloody version of Robert's prediction of how a Dothraki invasion would go; they tackle and conquer everywhere else while Cersei and the GC hide in a castle until everyone else is just fucking sick of both of them and helps throw them down.
In fact, if things get bad enough as far as the Long Night is concerned (which I think we can all agree they will), people will be rallying behind Dany and Jon if they win, and the GC will be even less willing to fight them. These are the two who led the War for the Dawn from the front lines, and won. These are the soldiers who could face down an army of 100,000 tireless killing machines led by magical ice monster-men who can shatter steel with a single bow, douse fire with their presence, and make weapons that can one-shot dragons. And the soldiers behind Dany and Jon won against those things.
Jaime really summed it up already: "If the Dead win, then they march south and kill us all. If the people we're betraying win, then THEY march south and kill us all!"
There's really no way Cersei can logically come out on top here if ANY of the actual good guys of the story survive the War for the Dawn. Even if the Golden Company actually does work with her. Which, again, considering who and what she's asking them to fight, isn't even guaranteed (or at least rationally shouldn't be, anyway).
I just wish we could meet Howland Reed in the show. It feels strange he has never made an appearance.
Roonie41, we can say that's at least true to the books, if nothing else.
we see him in bran's vision, stabbing arthur dayne in the back
I think he will in season 8, he is one of the northern lords
@@chriskayser5798 I HAVE A SLIGHT FEELING HE WON'T
*8 I missspelled
"There's just 6 episodes left, no time for full episodes of walking and talking"
First 2 episodes of season 8 are just everyone walking and talking
although honestly, at that point I wasn't really having much of a problem. It seemed perfectly reasonable there would be at least a couple days between everyone gathering at Winterfell and the NK's army reaching their doorstep. There was some fairly important character work that needed to be tended to, most of the duo reunions many fans looked forward to were handled well enough, and it seemed fitting there was this "calm before the storm" phase.
11:20 Bran doesn't know everything, he has access to knowing everything. As shown with Sam and Bran later in this episode.
Thank you for all the hard work you've done this season. Hope to see you for next season!!!
you know you're a bitch, right?
Cheeto O - would never say that to him in person
His channel will die by season 8, he can't produce content anymore. Actually a lot of channels will die for this reason.
huh

Thank you Alt Shift X for all your thoughtful and incredible content! You are an excellent member of the Game of Thrones fan community and I have repeatedly looked forward to the videos you've made dissecting episodes, histories, and conspiracies. Best of luck in all your future endeavors; I hope you are always met with gracious viewers as you do more of what you love.
Holy shit, your take on Westworld would be amazing. The density of allusion, reference and conceptual needlework in that show is practically *begging* to be dissected by Alt Shift X.
“Make sure you’re not getting Littlefingered” 😂
Isn’t the whole reason Ned’s father and brother went south to begin with, is that they thought Lyanna had been kidnapped?? 18:52
Yeah nigga nigga nigga.
Even if they knew that she wasn't forced to
They would still mad and asking for her return Rhaegar was married with kids and Lyanna was betrothed to another great lord
This is westeros where people can pay with theirs lives if they broke an oath !
Yea, Rhaegar fucked up.
Would be sick if Daario returns as the leader of the Golden Company...
and leave danny's post that she gave to him? unlikely.
KillerGaming109 very likely... He is a mercenary, not a lord or ruler. He is also known for betraying people.
“I could never have faith in a man like Daario” - could happen
Jan Raszyński whoa
Bran could've just revealed a lot of personal information about anyone who doubted him about Littlefinger
yeah exactly, my thout
No one would question a Stark's honor or word.
Really wish this could be shown. So far I feel like Bran's powers have no pay off because we're always asking "How the hell didn't he know X?"
He most likely will in the book
Doubt it, since Bran has been a mute for most of the season.
Is there any one appreciating this guys hard work? Good job man
14:42 Samurai caught me off guard
Lmao
I interpreted that when Sansa and Littlefinger were doing the "Whats the worst thing that can happen" game and Petyr suggested that Arya wanted the North that Sansa realized that it was all formulated by Petyr. Sansa knew that Arya never wanted to be a Lady. So why would Arya kill her to get what she never wanted? And then she went to Bran to see if she was right.
@6:33 Maybe Cersei didn't want to kill Tyrion because it might confirm that the valonqar is Jaime. Assuming that the choices for the valonqar is either Tyrion or Jaime.
Either that or realizing he didn't kill Joffrey, and that killing his father who sentenced him to death for the crime he didn't committ doesn't make him as 'evil' in her own eyes.
But I just said 'ooooh' when I read your idea. Good one!
Wake Me Or Cersei Killing Tyrion= Dany unleashing hell on KL and her certain death regardless of collateral damage. Just a thought
Wake Me I've heard/seen some suggest Euron is the valonquar.
It's an interesting theory, but an unlikely one imo.
Potato True, I don't think it was ever mentioned.
Potato No, it's mentioned. They devoted a whole scene to Maggy the Frog and her telling the prophecy to a younger (and still bitchy) Cersei
Littlefinger didn't talk his way out of Lysa's murder,
That was ALL Sansa.
SHE saved him when he was being interrogated.
And, of COURSE she talked to Brandon before turning on her sister.
(And why does baby Aegon Targaryen look like a little brown fuzzball?!)
I love how Arya and Sansa's reconciliation atop the walls of Winterfell mirrored Sansa's and Jon's at the end of Season 6, especially visually. I also love Theon's final conversation with Jon, which allowed him to finally hear what he's always needed to hear: That he's both Greyjoy and a Stark. It was a nice full-circle arc for him.
i felt like little finger broke down because bran knew things that no one had ever heard before, i don't think it had anything to do with loving sansa. he was the master of deceit, and he finally met someone who knew secrets that no one else, but maybe one other person knew. "Chaos is a ladder"
Bduffey10 "latter"? xD
Edit: Glad you edited that :p
Maybe it was also because he'd spent years trying to overcome social status and get up high and he knew it was about to end.
Bduffey10 only bran knows how to climb that ladder.
Bduffey10 very true, but I feel it might of been a mixture of both.
and because he came a long way up until now. for someone who came from the bottom of the social ladder, he was basically on his way to the throne. it was as if all his work had been undone.
Please do Westworld and mr robot, because their ends are unknown so there's more room for speculation. You're channel has legit been one of the best parts of GOT season 7 so big up the alt shift massive and please keep on making sick vids. One love
Second to the Mr. Robot suggestion. I'd love to see that.
Mr Robot sucks
Ironborn dude should have know kneeing Theon in the nuts wouldn't work, "What is dead may never die."
By far the best analysis of the series I ve found on the web. So well explained, so well edited and ilustrated. I simply loved it, loved it. I ll support you. Cheers from Perú.

House of Jikook check out NerdSoup. They have excellent in depth analysis of Westworld, GoT, etc.. Pretty much a perfect channel with outstanding content.
Westworld please!!!!!!!
It's great rewatching these videos and hearing ASX spit ball these great theories that the writers simply didn't have the ability or care to write in. ASX should've been given a seat at the writers table.
Shame.
The showrunners are not going to pick out fan theories to adapt. The writers have more talent than most fandoms put together. ASX should stick to reviewing.
Period.
I look forward to your content as much as GOT episodes. Thank you for your insight, and amazing editing and analysis skills.
Westworld, no doubt.
Well, to say that "Bran knows everything" is not entirely false, though it is restricted as well.
It seems Bran needs to focus on a specific time and place to identify the events of said time and place. It's not like all the things that is and had happened is inside his head, in his memory. He would need to "see" it, focus on the time, person, place to figure out the truth. In the same way he didn't know of the annulment with Raegar and his former wife.
It seems Bran has the power to see everything, but is restricted to by the need to focus on specifics.
Yeah it was annoying to see people say "how come Bran didn't know about that? he's supposed to know everything" it's more like he has a book of everything that's ever happened- he can see everything but he needs to know what page to look on
Potato Plus, how would he know to even look for a Cersei betrayal? Or when? Think about it, even if he was "watching" the situation from WF, for every single human there, there is a second they experience from their own perspective. He can't just watch everyone's minutes of existence, at the same time. He can't simultaneously follow all the people, as far as we know. If TOLD when and where/at whom to look at, he could do it. Him seeing the right random circumstance, at the right random moment, from the right random perspective? Highly unlikely. He needs to be guided.
How did I miss this review?? You are brilliant.
Thanks for these great breakdowns &B love the subtle humor (Littlefingered)! I'd love to hear your take on Westworld too.
Now that Alt Shift X has released this video, season 7 of GOT is officially over. Great work as always. Look forward to your upcoming videos for GOT and other series. Cheers!
In defense of Jon being named Aegon, the roman emperors of the Julio-Claudian dynasty always had "Julius Caesar" in their name. And sometimes even "Augustus" too. Also Claudius named 2 of his daughters Claudia and one son of his Claudius.
Also Tiberius was called TIBERIUS Claudius Nero as well as his father before him, Claudius was named Tiberius CLAUDIUS Nero and Nero was also called Tiberius Claudius NERO. Anyway, what I mean is that there are parallels to actual history in this.
Hayk Darbinyan I
No, they were called the same names as many daughters had the same name because fathers didn't really care about them having a unique name, you have to remember that the Roman Empire was very misogynist.
Still, it's not uncommon for two brothers only sharing a father to share also share a name. I feel like they didn't care for unique names in either women or men.
I think Jon's real name is Aemon, not only because of his relationship with Maester Aemon but also his connections with Aemon the Dragonknight. Both were second sons, joined sacred brotherhoods, became Lord Commanders, died at their posts, and loved women they shouldn't have. Also there are the rumors that Aemon was the true father of Daeron II and thus Jon's ancestor while fAegon is descended from Aegon the Unworthy. And the woman Aemon loved was Naerys, ancestoress of Daenerys.
Westworld explanations would be awesome! I just love your style and dry humor :)
ALRIGHT SEE Y'ALL AFTER A YEAR

Kalliden year and a half*
Jorge Yumiseba year and a halfman
Year and a quarterman.
*sigh*
It just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Out of all the Game of Thrones reviews, I was anticipating this one the most.
Love the scene where Ramsay shakes the sausage, with a weird gleefull reaction.
Great video! Two things i noticed you may have missed as they weren't mentioned:
1. Rhaegar's first hint of his love for Lyanna was at the Tourney at Harrenhal where he gave his favour to her and crowned her "Queen of Love and Beauty" - in front of his own wife no less!
2. The Night King is certainly not a future Brandon Stark - at least from what the books tell us. The books detail a brief history of the Night King: He was the 13th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, a renowned "warrior without fear" and also - a Stark. He chased a female White Walker who appeared on the wall at some point, later becoming one himself. He proclaimed himself a king and her, queen. They ruled from Nightfort for 13 years (maybe the number is symbolic in ASOIAF somehow?), until his brother, in allegiance with Joramun, brought an end to his rule.
Looking forward to more high quality content on GoT in the lead up to and after S8 concludes. Cheers :D
Hold up. The first Aegon did NOT die before Rhaegar. The Sack of KL happened way after Rhaegar's death in the Trident. In fact one of the main reasons Tywin had the kids killed is directly BECAUSE Rhaegar was already dead.
CadaverJunky but I think Jon was born after. although how lyanna would know is another questionm
Laurel Like the news would've gotten soon to Dorne? Don't think so. Lyanna is a sad fuck that added salt to Elia Martell to name her son the same name as the wife's child. How is she honoring the death of Aegon when she indirectly caused their death.
The Sack of King's Landing was only a few days after the Trident. Tywin marched on the city as soon as he knew the outcome of the battle, and Ned arrived from the battlefield only a day or two behind him. Jon was born in Dorne during the aftermath of the war, when Ned and his men were rounding up the last few Targaryen loyalists (including Rhaegar's Kingsguard). So his half-siblings had been dead _at least_ as long as it takes seven men to ride from King's Landing to the Tower of Joy.
Ned arrived at kings landing before Robert so he would have known that his kids were dead.
The show is still the second best in the world so I don’t give a fvck about book readers and the logic in a fantasy series. Anything else as a name would have been confusing, so I‘m good with it.
You did a serious error in this video that really paints Robert Baratheon in a bad light. Robert did not start the war.
Long story short, the mad king demanded the heads of Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark who was at the Eyrie with Jon Arryn, after the mad king brutally murdered Eddard's father and brother. Jon Arryn refused and raised his banners in rebellion against the mad king.
Robert only went to war after Jon Arryn raised his banners, and it was because the mad king wanted him dead for no real reason.
Edit: "Rhaegar didn't kidnap and rape her like Robert Baratheon claimed".
The entire realm thought he kidnapped and raped her, even the Starks. Why are you saying Robert started it all?
true
Mathias Eriksson Yeah when Bran is like "Lyanna loved Rhaegar and he loved her Roberts rebellion was a lie." The thing is though Lyanna swore a vow to marry Robert she was bethrothed to Robert. People like to forget Bethrothal is important in A Song of Ice and Fire there was this small thong called the Red Wedding because someone named Robb Stark married Jayne Westerling instead of Roslin Frey.
Emperor of Mankind Very true.
Mathias Eriksson Because Robert absolutely DID claim that Rhaegar kidnapped and raped his betrothed. While Robert didn't "start the war", it is known in history as "Robert's Rebellion" so history can simply perverse this as "Robert's War" - ie, a war that was spearheaded by Robert, who made this claim against the Prince.
That's how I took it, anyway.
wad316 can't agree more. Either Lyanna fully knew what would happen (and she should've, she was there when Aerys ordered the mystery knight to be burned for no reason) and is a selfish bitch that led her family and thousands to death, or Rhaegar somehow tricked her into thinking everything is Ok (which is unlikely).
“We’ll hopefully see ghost” 😂😂😂 if the rumors of the budget being doubled are true then ghost will most definitely appear. Hopefully with nymeria getting a cameo with her wolf clan in the Great War.
The CGI cost was certainly a part of the whole "will there be/won't there be", but from the little bits I've caught about it over the years, it was just as much (if not more) simply a friggin pain in the ass to conduct the physical logistics necessary of having the direwolves there in the frame, especially once fully grown. like it was a real animal they were using the basis for that was only ever done in an LA soundstage, then matching that with the actors interacting with them in the UK locations.
amazing analysis.
I never realized I missed so much.
Zooming out to show the whole series gave me chills
Me too
Thank you for giving an honest well-thought out analysis of the show, both critiscizing it but also exploring some of it's subtler more clever details. Way too many people have in my opinion jumped on the bandwagon that, because the show is starting to become more predictable it is dead and beyond redeeming. And while I willl say that I was kinda dissapointed in the last two episodes, I still think there is enjoyment to be had from the show.
Keep up the good work!
What the finger flying fuck? You can't be reasonable, that's not allowed!
These are great.. You did a dope job.. Thank you
Thank you for the explanation of the last episode of game of thrones I loved it so much... 💖💖💖 to the man that narrates the show on here. 😊😊😊
Westworld
Westworld!
They should have got a better actor for Rhaegar because he was described as beautiful .
*sexual nasal voice activated*
“Go watch that video.”
I love this channel and the amount of work that goes into each video. I will definitely miss these videos until the new series is out.
Thanks alt shift x!
WESTWORLD PLEASE! I've been waiting for your westworld videos since episode 2 of the show!
More series?
All of the above!! :)
Great vid! Cant wait for ur next!
I'm betting that Dario will return. He's too big of a character to never hear from again - or to sit quietly in one place so far from the action. He'll likely turn the Golden Company against Cersei. There's precedent for this after all - he seized control of the Second Sons and broke their contract with Dany's enemies. With all of Cersei's flaunting of how buying them will win her the war for Westeros, it would be so so very sweet to watch her betrayed by gold in the end.
The Golden Company never betrays the ones that hired them that's what they are famous for(well that and being built by a bastard Targaryan), and I think it'd be more likely that Dario's head is on a spike on the walls of Meereen.
If Daario leads the Golden Company against Dany, that makes two treasons - once for blood and once for gold.
I would love for this to happen, if we see Daario again I would love for him to turn the golden company on Cersei, Cersei always believes she has the right plan to destroy all her enemies and so far she has but for once her confidence needs to be torn down
What if Daario joins Cersei if he discovers that Dany and Jon are together?
@@Seraserastria That would be a good story arc but a sad one, I would hate if he did that just because she's with someone else, im sure Daario has been heart broken before he doesn't need to act irrational just because Dany left him.
This channel is absolutely the best. Hearing you talk about Westworld would be awesome. I vote Westworld!
yes agree, west world from you would be amazing!

+ZEDFRA carefull starting shit, you live in a place where guns are illegal, starting shit here will get you killed, but that is probably why you only talk shit on the internet, because your a weak loud mouth with no backbone.

Would love to see you do Westworld!
Either way I'm watching whatever your doing. Thanks so very much for your work.
I love that there's 20 goodmen. As unlikely as it is, I hope that you picked up on that personally, not just saw it in the fandom.
Hopefully we can see Septa Unella give birth to a Zombie Mountain baby next season.
THEN the Mountain has playmates!
Wooooooooooooooo put life on hold because Alt Shift X has uploaded!
Super riveting analysis!
Man... You are SPOT ON, thank you!
