Paul and Alec ordered Yu-Gi-Oh "mystery decks" on eBay to have a duel and what we got was a bit of a surprise. Maybe they're actually worthwhile?

*OF COURSE they wouldn't include the actual good cards in the decks!* 😒
Hope you guys enjoyed the new video! Drop a Like and let us know if you want to see the other 2 decks we got in our mystery bundle. Maybe they're a little better next time?
Paul and Alec y'all just 2 cool dudes that teach me something new every time I watch you guys thanks for the content.. Wish I could pull up, and tell y'all what's up this weekend but got hope y'all have a super fun weekend .
Alex can you send me that salamangreat deck for free
Usually what happens when you play archetypes of different eras , complete blowouts
Sadly, yes. Yu-Gi-Oh power creep is strong
Powercreep in yugioh is shameless
I love hearing the bakugan battle brawlers music in the background, so nostalgic
Was literally coming to comment the same thing! That game was so fun
@@dustinkendall1038same! I was hoping others would notice!
You should do a video like this but it's a $25 dollar deck from ebay vs a $25 dollar deck from tcgplayer and someone from the team makes the $25 deck themselves
would be one sided since you can build Floow more or less at full power for less than 20
Yknow,I know you guys probably will or wont read this because of this old video. But I had a step dad who taught me how to play yugioh, and sadly he passed away because of covid. Yet watching you guys play reminds me of the best moments of playing yugioh. Thank,Team Aps
Sorry hear that my guy hope you can one day recapture some of that nostalgia with your own kids one day.
That truly sucks my guy. Just get through each day one at a time, duel and have fun😊
Hightlight of the video
Paul: "Salamangreat Charge"
The person THAT IS ACTUALLY PLAYING Salamangreat: "I didn't get that"
“I see why no one plays this” that 4th wall moment was gold
Another spin on this kind of video would be to select the random deck, shuffle it and dont look at any cards until you draw your first hand.
Its a pretty nice idea. And they can still show the whole deck after the duel to us. I say they should do this!
This would be cool, but they would need a third person to separate the extra deck so it doesn't get shuffled into the main deck
@@MrDitanoor edit the end at the beginning
That kind of salamangreat deck would still cost me more than $40 over here. Because buying decks in my country is very expensive even with common cards only. I managed to make a playable six samurai deck for $50 with only 4 ultra rares, but still missing bunch of hand traps, the cheapest ash is around $20~$30 here, so i only have 3 effect veiler, 1 imperm and 2 called by the grave.
Where do you live that stuff is THAT expensive?? :O
LMAO as soon as Alec said "Pass turn" in the opening skit, my opponent surrendered turn 1 in Masterduel lol
Must've been a brick eyes
@@WhenDevilsDuel *Blue eyes
@@Runickslol u serious
@@albaal7035 😂 I don't think I've ever seen a more tragic case of r/whoosh
How much yugioh content would you like to consume?
Gebirges: *yes*
Love the Bakugan music yall use in the background, that game was my childhood!
I am wanting to see more of the mystery decks for sure! I hope it's a tearlaments deck reprinted since of course it would somewhat fall under the category of $30 vs a snake eyes deck
The Bakugan video game music kinda going crazy
Love the bakugan music
1:00 OMG THATS THE BAKUGAN SHOP MUSIC
Love these mystery deck duels. The ebay and decks from the random websites are fun to watch as you try to either figure out a strategy or just try to read the card.
I’m learning how to play this confusing game. your videos are helpful. thanks you guys for putting so much work into it🙏
As someone who doesn’t have any local friends to enjoy some yugioh tcg I live vicariously through these vids… I’ve fallen into the “eBay deck” hole and really question the thought process into some of the cards being added…
I RECOGNIZE TGAT BAKUGAN BATTLE BRAWLER MUSIC !!!! 1:12
15:56, haha. You guys had amusing reactions to these decks.
Tourney ready aka 3 of every card......ready to top everything
Dang, that music as they were checking through their decks was nostalgic AF. It was from the first Bakugan game
Could you guys please do more of those eBay deck tournaments? I really like them they show a lot more archetypes in and more strategies that might be worth a try..
THE BAKUGAN BGM
Alec bullying Paul, when choosing the decks😂 you guys are literally hilarious!
Used the bakugan ds shop ost, love it😂😂
Is that the bakugan ds game shop theme in the beginning?
Love these lol, it's more funny seeing how bad some are build vs the duel itself
Any guesses on the other two mystery decks. I'm thinking odd eyes pendulum and Norse decks.
Boys are still rocking the bakugan ost love it :)
I hope that you guys would make a automatic win duel deck tournement series, for exemple, Exodia deck, Destiny board deck, Final countdown deck, and etc.
Is that background music from the Bakugan video game???
Those matches were kinda...lit. Most excellent.
1:10 W background music, if you know you know 😤
Should have pateron members give you a random deck list to build from the cards you guys have and for every card you can't find you add a vanilla monster to replace the card.
Anybody know the music they used in Duel 2? I wish @TeamAPS would plug the music they use in the description.
The divination character sounds like my favorite character already. I've just downloaded it.
Anyone else like hearing "Reincarnation Summon"? Great video guys
So I noticed a mistake at 8:07, Alec attacked with heatleo but Pauls LP didnt go down which should mean that Paul wouldve lost the next turn
Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Pre-Preparation of Rites" is useless in Salad because "Rise of the Salamangreat" doesn't specifically name "Salamangreat Emerald Eagle"
Hello
I want to play Yi GI oh but not for wining, just to play easy decks for fun with friends.. what would you recommend me to build ? I don't want one turn wins just have some fun
Hopefully the other two decks are stronger than those decks wazzup wazzup
Ah ,Volcanic blaze accelerator is a soft once per turn so Paul could use his new copy again and out the heatleo. But them’s the breaks when youre playing new cards :) Great video guys!
He only got 1 copy of the original blaze accelerator and you have to send one from hand deck or field to activate the volcanic blaze accelerator
@@Julian-sn3xv That would have been the case normally but he used volcanic rimfire to place another one with its effect , so that second copy was active. That was the point of when he could have used its effect again.
I'm willing to watch you guys play yugioh, singleton format (one copy of a card). With no banlist, everything at 1
I literally understood nothing of what you guys were talking about. I just clicked this video cuz I got curious. 🤣🤣🤣
In the context of Yu-Gi-Oh, relationships can be interpreted in two ways: relationships between characters in the anime series, and relationships depicted through the card storylines.
**Character Relationships in the Anime Series:**
- **Yugo and Rin**: This relationship between childhood friends is well accepted by fans. While their romantic relationship is not confirmed outright, there are moments of fluster on both ends that lend themselves toward that end¹.
- **Joey and Mai**: Outside of Yugi and Tea, Joey and Mai’s relationship was the most developed in the series. They constantly shade each other in a loving way and by the end they give up a lot to make sure the other lives and thrives¹.
**Card Storylines:**
- **Dark Ruler Ha Des**: This storyline involves a powerful ruler of darkness, Dark Ruler Ha Des, who built an entire army of shadow creatures. He eventually lost control of his powers and was defeated by his rival, Dark King of the Abyss. However, he was later revived and ultimately defeated his nemesis, ruling over darkness once again².
- **D.D. Warrior Lady**: This storyline follows a wandering outlaw who fought as a soldier in Freed's army. She became rivals with Warrior Dai Grepher and was abducted to the Different Dimension. There, she trained herself in traveling between dimensions and returned to engage her rival in another fight².
These are just a few examples. The Yu-Gi-Oh universe is vast and filled with intricate relationships and storylines. Let me know if you want to know more about a specific relationship or storyline! 😊
Yugi Muto and Téa Gardner, known as Anzu Mazaki in the Japanese versions, share a close relationship in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Téa is one of Yugi's best friends and their bond grows stronger as the series progresses⁴.
In the beginning of the series, Téa acts somewhat like an older sister to Yugi, always encouraging him in duels and being very protective over him⁵. However, as the series progresses, their relationship evolves and they begin to feel much closer and more affectionate for one another⁵.
Téa does not usually play games with Yugi and his friends, but she was shown to be more than competent against others in Duel Monsters¹. She is also very good at dancing and wants to be a professional dancer when she grows up¹.
Their relationship is so significant that it even has its own name in the fandom: "Peachshipping"³. This term is used to describe the romantic pairing of Yugi and Téa.
It's important to note that while their relationship is depicted as close and affectionate, it is not explicitly romantic in the series. However, many fans interpret their relationship as such due to their close bond and mutual care for each other.
Let me know if you want to know more about any other relationships or storylines in Yu-Gi-Oh! 😊
Yugi Muto has a close-knit group of friends who often support him and each other throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! series⁴. Here are some of them:
- **Joey Wheeler**: Joey is one of Yugi's best friends who often duels at his side⁴. He's known for his loyalty and courage, and he's a skilled duelist in his own right.
- **Tristan Taylor**: Tristan is another of Yugi's close friends. While he doesn't duel as often as the others, he's always there to cheer on his friends and provide moral support¹.
- **Bakura Ryou**: Bakura is a good friend of the group, but his body is often possessed by an evil spirit, which complicates their relationship¹.
- **Duke Devlin**: Duke initially wanted to take down Yugi due to a misunderstanding, but he soon became friends with the group¹.
- **Mokuba Kaiba**: Mokuba, Seto Kaiba's younger brother, isn't as close to Yugi and his friends as the others, but he's shown to be supportive of them throughout the series¹.
- **Rebecca Hawkins**: An anime exclusive character, Rebecca is the youngest American Duel Monsters champion and has a friendly relationship with Yugi and his friends¹.
These friendships evolve and deepen over time, leading to acts of selflessness, mutual respect, and strong bonds³. Let me know if you want to know more about any other relationships or storylines in Yu-Gi-Oh! 😊
Ther _e are many villains in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, each with their own unique characteristics and storylines. Here are some of them:
- **Pegasus J. Craw_ ford**: The creator of Duel Monsters, Pegasus is the main antagonist of the first season⁶.
- **Yami Bakura and Zorc Necrophades**: Yami Bakura is the dark side of Bakura Ryou, and Zorc Necrophades is a dark entity within the Millennium Ring⁶.
- **Seto Kaiba**: While not always a villain, Kaiba is often an antagonist due to his rivalry with Yugi².
- **Marik Ishtar**: Marik becomes a villain when his dark side takes over, leading to some of the series' most intense duels³.
- **Noah Kaiba**: Seto and Mokuba's step-brother, Noah traps the group in a virtual world in one of the series' arcs².
- **Dartz**: The main antagonist of the Waking the Dragons arc, Dartz is the leader of the Paradius Corporation and a servant of the Great Leviathan⁶.
- **Yubel**: A former spirit partner of Jaden Yuki, Yubel becomes a villain in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX⁶.
- **Z-ARC**: The original identity of Yuya Sakaki and his dimensional counterparts, Z-ARC is the main antagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V⁶.
These are just a few examples. The Yu-Gi-Oh! universe is vast and filled with many villains, each with their own motivations and methods. Let me know if you want to know more about any specific villain or storyline! Yugi Muto has a close relationship with his grandfather, Solomon Muto¹. Solomon is a former game shop owner and a seasoned gamer himself². He is the one who gave Yugi the ancient Egyptian puzzle that, when solved, instilled Yugi with an ancient spirit⁵. This spirit helped Yugi become a stronger and more confident duelist⁵.
Solomon's influence on Yugi extends to his dueling style as well. In his first full duel against Seto Kaiba, Yugi uses his grandfather's personal deck². All of Yugi's subsequent decks are derived from Solomon's original build². Solomon's deck took full advantage of the fact that he owned a card shop, which allowed him to build a competitive deck².
Yugi's signature monsters, including Dark Magician and Summoned Skull, were inherited directly from his grandfather². It's interesting to note that while these cards are strongly associated with Yugi, they were actually gifted to him by his grandfather².
In summary, Solomon Muto played a significant role in Yugi's life, not only as a grandfather but also as a mentor in the world of Duel Monsters. Let me know if you want to know more about any other relationships or storylines in Yu-Gi-Oh! 😊
The Millennium Puzzle is one of the Millennium Items in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series¹. It was originally known as the Millennium Pendant, but after being shattered and requiring assembly, it came to be known as the Millennium Puzzle¹.
The Millennium Puzzle is a powerful artifact that contains the soul of Yami Yugi¹. When Yugi Muto, the main character of the series, solved the puzzle, he became host to Yami Yugi's spirit¹. This spirit helped Yugi become a stronger and more confident duelist¹.
The puzzle is often seen dangling around Yugi's neck and is known for its unique shape and the eye symbol on it¹. The puzzle's most well-known power is the ability to switch Yugi's body and mind with the spirit of the Pharaoh¹.
The Millennium Puzzle was created 3,000 years before the present day events (5,000 in the dub) in Kul Elna by sacrificing 99 souls of the Kul Elna villagers¹. The items were created in order to protect Egypt from attackers¹.
The box containing the Puzzle's pieces had two messages written on it, "The person who solves this puzzle will have their wish granted." and "The one who solves me, will receive my dark knowledge and power."¹
In the 1960s, Solomon Muto, Yugi's grandfather, retrieved the Millennium Pendant, now called the Millennium Puzzle in the Tomb of the Nameless Pharaoh who was Atem¹.
14:48 Boop-boop-boop-de-doo-boop! Whap! XD
Think it would be interesting to do this but both duelist don't look at either deck at all just shuffle face down and start dueling on the fly
Doesn’t volcanic Rokket mistime when summoned on cl2?
The funny part is when he says is guzll at one was really funny to me i love both of them
Dudes,i have a sugestión. The first Game is Nice, play as it comes, and then, since those are more bases, than actual decks, You should costomize them on Game two, yo make them actually playable.
Am I the only one who recognized the bakugan game theme in the background during Alec's deck profile?
I'm pretty sure the entire video uses the Bakugan Video Game OST
Is that bakugan game bgm???? No way
So how do link summons work exactly? That’s just unknown to a person who grew up on Yugioh ,gx and 5dd
No one knows bro
Very fun to watch
10:47 doesn't the volcanic miss timing here
I have a collection of cards that I dont know weather to sell or to keep onto some and start my own collection. Problem is I havnt a clue about any of it 🙈 is there someone I can send photos of them all to and for them to tell me if I should keep on to them or not??
Are they cards you like? Generally if you fall out of a game for a bit, you might hop back into it after a few years. I would recommend holding onto them. Generally you only want to sell if you need the money.
What happened to the slifer slacker series
Don't Worry Alec! I'm a proud member of the astral express already! If only I had black swan tho...
This is like playing a Legacy Pack deck irl
Is there like a secret third one...?
I am heavily distracted by the original bakugan video game music...
Nice fire vs fire
You know, I tried making my own 40 cards deck (not including the extra summons) by opening booster packs and hoping to find "the" card on which to focus my deck on.
The only card interesting enough to talk about it I found is not that good, it is a nice card for collectors given the golden name of the monster and golden card's frame but frankly, not a fan of a re-designed Black Rose Dragon with an ability that makes it less attractive for players (casual or not).
Not even a volcanic counter 😢
Good Duel
Everyone in the comments recognizing the Bakugan music is making me feel old😂
Realy good video
That ritual monster is beyond unplayable even in casual decks😂
These prebuilt games are a good way to play the game with friends without all the broken over priced crap
Team APS
I can make a $30 deck if you're willing to buy and...
I promise nothing will be able to beat it that cost $55 or less...
It will be a team DMA group dark magician deck 👍
Have you bought Mystery Decks from Ebay? If so what did you get?
For some reason Sunlight Wolf didn't get reprinted in that set.
Are you referring to the volcanic volcano set? If so , sunlight wolf did get a reprint in it, but it was a ghost rare

Dude sunlight wolf is hella hard to get cuz it's a Ghost Rate and really strong 😢
It comes in common too
Paying 25$ for these decks sounds wild
Nice duels though

Ok am I crazy or is that bgm from the bakugan video-game
yes sir
Is that Bakugan video game ost I hear?
yes sir
Battle Brawlers Shop OST. Still play that game in an attempt to max out everything.
For fun you can do a blind deck .. dueling with decks without knowing what cards it contains 😂😂😂
Gah, tier-0 fire meta is killing me already
Am I the only one who's wondering what the other two decks are?
Low-power duels are always better. No irony.
You guys are the best
Yes even in eBay jank, salads are based
I was offended when Alex said “I see why no one plays this deck” salamangreat is my fav deck😂🥲
He said that in reference to the ritual monster, Salamangreat is a well used deck over the years and still sees play, but no one uses the ritual monster lol.
@@Rossco1010 ohhh ok
You payed 25$ for 4 decks? If so thats a killer deal

play with other language card
So is half the cast gone cause you buy to many cards and cant pay them? I miss calv and the others...very disappointing
What?
Or they just have lives and other things to do?
Full time jobs. You either understand or will understand one day.
Uhhh, not even close. The others have full time jobs. Larry is a corrections officer or something, and that means he can't consistently be in videos, and I have no doubt the others generally also agree more to when they have free time during days off.
They're all still here. Life changes, and they have jobs and families.
@@THEGRUMPTRUCK Larry is a straight up cop, I think. Idk if Paul pays the other guys besides Alec/Alex, but I'm sure this is just a small thing for them and they have their own jobs and lives
